Get your products found, not just your brand name.

Most online stores hit the same wall: they rank for their own name, and the marketplaces take every product search. PromotEdge does ecommerce SEO so more shoppers find your products on Google and buy, with no ad bill for each visit.

SEO (search engine optimisation) for a store means category and product pages that show for searches like "cotton kurtas for women", with no marketplace commission.

Choose this over our wider SEO services when your site sells products, because one small mistake repeats across hundreds of pages. It fits D2C brands, retail and jewellery, online pharmacies, industrial parts catalogues and real estate listing portals.

Marketplaces and ads sit under ecommerce marketing, building the store under ecommerce website development.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

What gets in the way of store SEO,and the way through.

“Our products sell on Amazon, but our own site gets almost no Google traffic.”

We build category pages that earn a place, so some orders come at full margin.

“Google has thousands of our filter pages, and our real category pages don't rank.”

Filters create endless web addresses, which Google calls "overcrawling". We pick the filters that deserve a page and close the rest.

“Our product pages use the maker's description, same as every other seller.”

Google has no reason to pick yours. We rewrite top sellers first.

“When a product goes out of stock, we delete the page and lose its ranking.”

The page can return with the stock. We set rules for out-of-stock products.

“We moved to Shopify, and organic orders dropped.”

Usually old addresses were not redirected. We map old to new and recover what we can.

“Our report shows traffic, but nobody can say how many orders it brought. Prices and stock also differ across site, Amazon and sheet.”

We track organic orders by category, and set up the workflow so a price or stock change is made once.

Our beliefWhat can't be measured can't be achieved.

/ 05 How we work

Fixes in the first month, categories in three to six.

  1. 01

    Week 1: listen

Your margins, best sellers, seasons, and what customer care hears on calls.

  2. 02

Weeks 1 to 3: crawl and map

Which categories can win, before any writing.

  3. 03

Weeks 3 to 6: fix the base

Filters, duplicates, data, feed, speed. Your developers ship the tickets, or our web team does.

  4. 04

Month 2: test five to ten categories

We rewrite them, then watch Search Console and orders.

  5. 05

Month 3 onwards: scale what works

Roll the winning pattern across the catalogue; start earning links.

  6. 06

    Every month: report on orders

We'd rather show you results than a nice presentation. Three to six months is a planning range.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C brand wants its own category pages to carry full-margin orders. A marketplace seller wants some orders to come home. A dealer-led B2B seller needs part numbers and catalogue pages. Quick commerce runs its own local search, so see quick commerce marketing.

  1. Start with your margins and best sellers. Not every category is worth ranking for. A ranked list of categories.
  2. Fix the store base before writing. New pages on a leaky store repeat its mistakes. Developer tickets in order of impact.
  3. Rewrite a few categories first. What wins in sarees may not win in jackets. Orders by category, month on month.
  4. Report orders, not traffic. Traffic you can't link to sales is a guess. A one-page monthly report.

AI in ecommerce SEO: today and next

Today

Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode need no special optimisation: a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet, and inclusion is not guaranteed. Merchant Center says free product listings may show in Search, Images, Lens, YouTube and Gemini. So clean pages and a clean feed are the work.

Next

Our view: more shoppers will start with an AI answer. Stores with accurate prices, stock and returns will be easier to quote. Want us to check yours? Ask us.

Bodies

IAMAI is a not-for-profit industry body for online and mobile businesses, e-commerce among them. ASCI is an independent, voluntary body that aims to keep Indian ads fair and honest, which is worth knowing when you write product claims for ads.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost ofecommerce SEO.

The fee follows your catalogue size and the work it needs.

What affects the cost

  • Products, categories and filters on the store
  • The platform, and how much of the code we can change
  • The store's state: duplicates, filter bloat, a past migration
  • Pages needing new writing, and who writes them
  • Link building effort, and who ships the fixes

How we quote

  1. A call about your margins, best sellers and the orders you want more of.
  2. A free audit, for projects we think we can help.
  3. A written scope: categories first, fixes, the report.
  4. One quote, each piece of work on its own line.

What you get in the quote

  • The categories we start with
  • Audit fixes in order of impact
  • Pages we write each month
  • The monthly orders report

When you compare quotes, ask how each agency handles filter pages and out-of-stock products, and whether its report shows orders or only traffic.

Straight answers.

  • It depends on catalogue size, platform and how much writing the pages need. A 200-product store costs far less than a 20,000-product one. We quote against a written scope, with each cost on its own line, so you can compare quotes fairly.

  • Fixes to filters and duplicates can show within weeks. Category pages usually move in three to six months. Broad searches in fashion, beauty or electronics can take a year or more. We tell you which of your pages fall in which group.

  • Yes. We work on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and custom stores. Each has its own duplicate-page habits. We write fix tickets for your developers, or our web team ships them. Either way, you see each change listed before it goes live.

  • Yes, through free listings. Google's Merchant Center help says products may show free on Search, Images, YouTube, the Shopping tab and more. You need a product feed, a return policy and shipping settings, set up in Merchant Center. Showing isn't guaranteed, and we do not promise a position.

  • Not directly. Marketplaces run their own search with their own rules, so their ranking is a different job. Ecommerce SEO works on Google and AI search, for your own store. Our ecommerce marketing service handles marketplace listings, content and ads.

  • Ask four questions. How will you handle filter pages and out-of-stock products? Who does the work each week? Will the report show orders or only traffic? Do you buy links? Clear, plain answers to all four are a good sign. Vague answers are not.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and SEO is done online, so your city is not a limit. We stay in touch daily and visit you at least once every three months, or more often when a launch needs it.

  • You see organic orders and revenue by category every month, from your own GA4 and Search Console data, not from our guesses, so you can check every number. Our published proof is Desi Machines, our group company's marketplace, with no figures shared.
