/ 01 Digital marketing agency in Mysore (Mysuru)

A palace, a festival and a name that sells. Then plan for each buyer.

Buyers already trust the Mysuru name for silk and sandal soap, so a firm here only has to prove it is the real thing. PromotEdge plans Google search, websites, social media, radio and Kannada and English papers for shops, stays, makers and colleges in Mysuru (Mysore).

Each month we report which rupees brought enquiries.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode, and we talk every day. We visit Mysuru for planning and launch days. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

We start with your last ten enquiries: where each one came from, and what it cost you. Then we test one idea small and scale only what pays. Our digital marketing and advertising pages show how.

What we believe at PromotEdge
/ 02 The Mysuru market

A festival, a palace and goods that carry the city's name.

Three facts decide where your first rupee goes in Mysuru.

1. Goods that carry the city's name. A GI tag (Geographical Indication) is a legal tag saying a product belongs to a named place. Wikipedia, copying the national GI list, shows tags for Mysore Silk, Mysore Sandal Soap, Mysore Sandalwood Oil and Mysore Agarbathi, among others. It adds that holograms and barcodes are used against fake Mysore silk. A buyer who cannot touch the cloth wants proof first, so show the tag and the maker's name on the product page. We know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business. So we put that proof on the page before we spend on one ad. See our fashion and apparel page.

More on the district, the Dasara calendar and the palace, the campus town and the Kannada-first rule, with sources.

The Mysuru market in depth

Mysuru is the headquarters of Mysuru district. The district covers 6,307 sq km. It had 30,01,127 people at the 2011 Census. The district site puts the city 139 km from Bengaluru, so buyers from the capital may look you up before the drive. Its home page names these local specialities: silks, paintings, sandalwood soap, Mysuru Pak (a sweet), sandalwood oil and agarbathi (incense sticks). Each one needs a page that a buyer outside the city can trust.

2. A festival and a palace that fill the calendar. The official Dasara site says Mysuru Dasara has been celebrated since 1610 AD, and it is held every year. It is Karnataka's state festival, called Nada Habba. The 2026 programme is listed for 11 to 21 October, with the Jamboo Savari (the grand procession) on 21 October. Mysuru Palace is lit with 97,000 bulbs on Sundays, on public holidays and during Dasara. Dasara dates change from year to year, so confirm each programme before you book. Stays, tour operators and food stalls can start from our travel and tourism page.

3. A campus town with IT firms, and a Kannada-first rule. Wikipedia names tourism and IT as the main earners, and lists Infosys and Wipro among the IT firms. It dates the University of Mysore to 1916. A Mysuru college or IT supplier sells to people who compare online first. See our education and IT services pages. A state law also sets 60 per cent of a business signboard for Kannada, so a shop board here starts with it.

/ 03 Mysuru at a glance

Radio, papers and rulesto know before you plan.

Mysuru has three private FM channels, three Kannada dailies and two English ones. A state law sets 60 per cent of a business signboard for Kannada. Dasara is held every year, and the 2026 programme is listed for 11 to 21 October.

WhatIn MysuruWhat it means for your plan
Private FM radioThree private FM channels serve Mysuru, at 92.7, 93.5 and 104.8 MHz, on the government's list of 30 March 2026.Choose one channel, give it its own phone number and run it for four weeks. Each call then shows if it worked.
AkashvaniAkashvani's rate card from the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) is dated 1 June 2017. It gives the Mysore primary channel (100.6 MHz) Rs 330 and Rs 220 per 10 seconds. Those are the station's 2017 rates, not ours.Ask the station for its present card before you budget.
Kannada and English dailiesThe Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), which checks paper sales, lists Mysuru editions of Prajavani, Vijay Karnataka and Vijayavani in Kannada. In English it lists Deccan Herald and The Times of India. Wikipedia adds that Sudharma, a Sanskrit daily, is published from Mysuru.Use Kannada for families and shops, and English for outside students and company buyers.
Kannada on signboardsA law passed by the Karnataka Assembly in February 2024 sets 60 per cent of a business signboard for Kannada, in the upper half.Draw each shop board and hoarding with Kannada on top, and re-check the rule before every print.
The palace and the sightsMysuru Palace is 1 km from the bus stand, 1.9 km from the railway station and 10.5 km from the airport. The district site lists three headline sights: the palace, Chamundi Hill and Mysuru Zoo.A stay or a tour firm can put these distances on its "how to reach" page.
DasaraThe official Dasara site says the festival has been celebrated since 1610 AD. Its 2026 programme is listed for 11 to 21 October. It lists the palace lighting, Kambala races on 18 and 19 October, a torchlight parade, a food festival and a flower show.Launch dated offers for stays, food and silk about eight weeks before, in a respectful tone.
Service: SEOSilk, incense and soap sellers compete on the city's name. Stays near the palace compete for visitors, and colleges compete for students.SEO (search engine optimisation) is how a page earns a place on Google without a payment per click. For Mysuru it starts with one page per product, stay or course.
Service: Website design and developmentProduct pages for silk and incense with the tag and the maker's name, booking pages for stays and admission pages for colleges, in Kannada and English.Pages that load fast on a phone, with call and WhatsApp buttons we test by tapping each month.

Sources are named in each row and were checked on 4 October 2026. The Akashvani figures date from 2017. The Sudharma line comes from Wikipedia. The last two rows are our plan, not a promise.

/ 04 Cost

What decides the costof a Mysuru plan.

Prices are not listed online. After a first talk we write what we would do in Mysuru and price each part on its own line. Papers, Mysuru's 3 FM channels, Akashvani, permissions and printing cost what their owner or authority charges.

How we quote

  1. A first call on who buys from you and what an enquiry cost you last quarter.
  2. A check of your site and Google listing against what other Mysuru firms show the same buyers.
  3. You get a written quote within 2 working days of that call, with each cost on its own line. We book nothing until you approve.

What you get in the quote

  • The Mysuru work we will do, and what is left out
  • Kannada-first layouts for each board
  • Each language, once a partner confirms it
  • Media rates as the owner quotes them

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerOngoing work with a monthly review. Minimum 3 months, then 30 days' notice. Search work usually takes 3 to 6 months to show
Fixed projectA new website, or one Dasara-season push. A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks; for other work we confirm the timeline in the quote

Ask for a free growth plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number and will tell you honestly if it's a fit. We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

/ 05 How we serve Mysuru

Worked online. Met in Mysuru when it counts.

We have worked with clients since 2015, and most of that work runs online.

Visits. The first call is on video. After that we talk every day, and we visit Mysuru for planning and launch days. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

Online work and media. Your search, ads, website and social pages run online, with the ad accounts in your company's name. We book Mysuru's Kannada and English papers, FM and Akashvani time, and you see each rate before you approve.

Our online work, stalls, boards and events, languages, and what decides the cost.

How we work in Mysuru

Stalls, boards and events. A festival stall, a shop board or a hoarding is planned with you. It is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with partner agencies where a job needs them. We draw each board Kannada-first and get written permission before a site is booked. Printing goes through the same partner.

Languages. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. Kannada and English come first here. The palace offers audio guides in seven languages, including French and Japanese. A stay or shop that serves guests from abroad can ask our partners to write in those two as well.

What decides the cost:

Who buys from you. Dasara visitors, far-away silk buyers, students and company buyers need different pages.

Language. Boards follow the state's Kannada rule, and each extra language is a separate line.

Media and boards. Every paper, FM channel and Akashvani spot has its own rate. Sites, printing and mounting are priced apart.

Selling in Mysuru?

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ people runs your account. The work is online in hybrid mode, with a call every day. We visit Mysuru for planning and launch days. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

  • No agency can fairly rate itself, so we will not claim the title. Ask every agency, us too, to show work for a business like yours, such as a silk shop or a college. Check who owns the ad accounts, who answers the phone, and whether they know the Kannada rule for Mysuru shop boards.

  • Mysuru Dasara has been celebrated since 1610 AD, and it is held every year. The 2026 programme is listed for 11 to 21 October, with the Jamboo Savari on 21 October. Dasara dates change from year to year, so confirm each programme before you book. Begin about eight weeks before, and keep the tone respectful.

  • As of 4 October 2026 we found no published hoarding rule for Mysuru city. Get written permission from the city corporation and the site owner before you book any site. The state's signboard rule does apply: 60 per cent of a business signboard must be in Kannada, in the upper half. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • Wikipedia, copying the GI list, shows tags for Mysore Silk and Mysore Agarbathi. A GI tag is a legal tag that links a product to a place. Show it on every product page, next to the maker's name. Add clear photos, an enquiry form and a WhatsApp number. Then test one Google ads set for a month before spending more.
