Admissions are won long before the form opens.
In education, the student shortlists but the family usually decides and pays, so every admission campaign has to speak to both. PromotEdge plans admission campaigns around your calendar for schools, colleges, coaching institutes and edtech brands that want to fill their seats.
We judge the work on confirmed admissions, tracked from the first enquiry to the fee paid.
Students watch campus life on Instagram and YouTube. Parents read Google reviews and the newspaper, and ask other parents on WhatsApp. Families listen around board results, entrance exams and counselling rounds. We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.
We plan mainline, digital and on-ground work as one admissions programme. A parent sees your results in the newspaper. A student finds your course page through SEO for educational institutions. SEO (search engine optimisation) means ranking on Google. Education website design comes next, so that page loads fast.
We work with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, coaching institutes, edtech and study-abroad consultants. Language institutes and music and dance academies are mostly local. A full Google listing and fresh reviews come first.

Keep a file behind every claim: year, batch, course taken and written consent. Every campaign gets a claim check first.
This is mine“Students accept our offer, then join somewhere else.”
Keep working after the offer letter. Email and WhatsApp reminders, hostel and fee help, and a call from a senior student cut dropouts.
This is mine“We only start marketing when admissions open.”
Start early. SEO and content run all year, so paid media in season reaches families who already know your name.

| Step | What we do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy | Position you against nearby and online options. Split the budget by course and campus. | Not every course needs the same push. |
| Digital | Google and Meta ads by course, SEO and AI search, YouTube, WhatsApp follow-up, and tracking from enquiry to admission. | Families research online before they visit. |
| Advertising (mainline) | Regional newspapers on result days, outdoor near schools, and radio for open days. PR (public relations, meaning news coverage) on real achievements. | Parents still read the newspaper. |
| BTL (below the line) and activation | Open days, campus tours, school seminars and education fairs, with a follow-up call to every registration. | Families often decide face to face. |
Admission outcomes go from your CRM back to Google Ads and Meta. So campaigns learn which enquiries become students.
We don't publish a price list. After a 30-minute strategist call, a one-page plan follows. Media and events are billed at actuals, and you approve every rate first.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Annual admissions retainer | Always-on SEO (usually 3 to 6 months to show) and content; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Season campaign fee | One admission window, fixed scope and dates; we confirm the timeline in the quote |
| Media and events at actuals | Newspaper, outdoor, radio, digital and event costs, as quoted |
To compare quotes fairly, ask each agency how many admission windows and campuses its quote covers.
Every client and project is different. The cost depends on the effort it takes, so we price after the first call.

Real business problems, from sales to back office, each with a plain AI fix. A person stays in charge of every step.
A college gets many questions from prospective students, some after office hours, and a small team struggles to answer them in time.
The AI fix A WhatsApp assistant answers routine questions on fees and eligibility from approved material and logs contact details with consent. A counsellor handles anything unusual or about a minor.

Employers now ask for skills like AI, data analytics, cloud and cybersecurity. A placement team must check each student's skills against what each employer wants.

In 2025-26 India's 14.67 lakh schools taught 24.72 crore students. More teenagers are staying on: the secondary-stage gross enrolment ratio rose from 68.5% to 71.7%. That ratio is the students enrolled against the age group. This counts schools only, not what families spend on tuition and coaching.

A family starts months before the form. They ask relatives and other parents on WhatsApp, search Google, read reviews and open your fee page. Then they visit. They drop out when the fee is unclear, no one replies the same day, or a recognition claim cannot be checked. CBSE tells parents to check a school's affiliation before admission.

In their words: "What is the full fee? Who teaches? Is it recognised? Is my child safe?" For coaching centres, the Ministry of Education's 2024 guidelines ask websites to show tutor qualifications and fees. They also ask for exit and refund terms. Few say this aloud, but they judge you on a same-day reply, and on whether a result claim holds up.

Schools and colleges sell one seat per cycle, so counselling calls and campus visits decide. Chains must look the same in every town, as franchise brands do. Edtech sells by subscription, so free trials must turn paid, as in software firms. Agents who bring you students act like dealers, the problem building materials knows. More in our business models guide.
CBSE is rolling out AI and problem-solving lessons for Classes 3 to 8 in 2026-27. More states are now making coaching laws of their own. AI today: it answers enquiries, sends reminders and reports by course. AI next: parents asking an assistant about schools, so keep fee and results pages exact. AI cannot earn trust at a campus visit. See AI automation systems.

A coaching centre sells seats in a batch that starts on one date. The aim is a family in a free demo class before then. In Class 11 and 12 JEE and NEET batches the student is often under 18 and a parent pays. A UPSC or bank-exam aspirant chooses alone. Give each branch a Google listing, and follow up each demo the same evening on WhatsApp. One rule: false urgency is barred, so "only 12 seats left" must match a count you can show. Teaching through an app? See edtech.

Study abroad is a long file: enquiry, test, documents, offer, visa. The student and parent want the counsellor's first call fast. A form that asks country, budget, test score and intake sorts serious families from the rest. Our lead generation work counts cost per qualified student. Plan backwards from each intake date on the university's own page. Never promise a visa. One rule applies if you also place graduates in jobs abroad. The Emigration Act, 1983 (section 10) asks recruiting agents to register. That is about jobs, not admissions.

You can do much yourself: keep fee, recognition and results pages current. Answer every enquiry the same day, and ask happy parents for reviews, with consent. Counsellors, campus tours and admission rules are yours, not ours. We can take the ads and tracking, or review your numbers in a marketing audit.
First, strategy: we compare you with nearby and online options. We split the budget by course and campus, because each course needs a different push. Second, digital, because families research online first. Third, newspapers and outdoor on result days, because parents still read print. Fourth, open days with a call to every registration, since families often decide in person. Rima Shaw, our Senior Account Manager, is your day-to-day contact and sends the weekly reports.
Our view: students and parents compare several universities for months. They ask seniors and weigh fees and campus life. Counselling desks and open days help families decide. One rule: ASCI, the advertising watchdog, says an ad for a degree must name the body that approves it. A course that rests on a university's approval must name that university and its place. The letters must be at least half the size of the course's own name. UGC lists fake universities by state, so families check. Campus tours work well. Teaching and approvals are not ours.
Source: ASCI, guidelines for educational institutions, 2023, clauses 2(a) to 2(c). UGC, list of fake universities, February 2026
First step: we would put each course's seats and fees on one page, with the last date. We would also answer every enquiry within an hour. We would measure cost for each admission, not each enquiry. One rule: ASCI, the advertising watchdog, bars any promise of a rank or a job without proof. An ad with such a claim must carry the line "past record is no guarantee of future prospects". Counselling and seat allotment are not ours.

Useful before you start. Open it when you need it.
Regulators watch education ads closely.
Recognition. Name each approval exactly as its regulator gave it, such as the University Grants Commission. Never imply a recognition you lack, or that you award a test's certificate.
Coaching centres. The Ministry of Education sent coaching-centre guidelines to the states in January 2024. Several states now have their own coaching laws.
Coaching ads. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) 2024 guidelines ban claims of assured admission or guaranteed selection. Show a candidate's rank, course and paid status. Take consent after selection.
Results and placements. The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) wants placement, ranking and salary claims from the latest completed academic year, with evidence. Rankings name the publisher and date.
Children's data. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 treats anyone under 18 as a child. Get a parent's verifiable consent. Never track children or target ads at them.
Creators. ASCI wants paid creator posts labelled as ads.
Your legal team should sign off claims first. General guidance, not legal advice.
One number. The Ministry of Education's All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) counted 4.50 crore students in 2023-24. That is up from 3.42 crore in 2014-15. Families compare 64,756 institutions. Source: AISHE 2022-23 and 2023-24, released 8 July 2026.
A 2019 NIEPA study in five states found teachers spent under a fifth of school hours on teaching, with the rest going to non-teaching work.
The AI fix An assistant drafts circulars, parent notices and a first timetable, and turns filled forms into records. The principal approves everything; no tool rates teachers or students.
Schools keep children's data in many places. India's data protection law needs a parent's verifiable consent for many uses, such as marketing or posting photos.
The AI fix A tool maps where student data sits, sends parents consent requests, keeps a log and never tracks children. The data officer decides; a lawyer checks the method.

It varies. Many private schools open admissions between October and January. Board and entrance exams, and MBA (management degree) selection rounds, run from January to April. Results come in April or May, and counselling runs from May to August. Study-abroad applications start months before each intake.
In many markets, yes. Regional editions on result days reach the parents who decide and pay, and print makes an institution feel established. Pair it with search, so readers can check you the same day. Hoardings near schools add to it. See print advertising.
In NEET and JEE coaching the parent pays, so answer faculty, hostel safety and fee questions plainly. UPSC, SSC and banking aspirants choose alone, so YouTube, free mock tests and WhatsApp work best. IELTS has deadlines, so search ads work. See coaching institutes.
Yes, families often decide there. They meet faculty, see the facilities and ask about fees in person. Seminars in schools and coaching centres build next year's pipeline. Campus tours and education fairs work the same way. Follow-up matters most: every attendee gets a counselling call.
On confirmed admissions and students joining, split by course and channel and set against cost.
