Win the first visit.Earn the next ten.

A full chair this week matters less than a client who books again next month. PromotEdge sets up bookings, reviews, consented before-and-after posts and opt-in WhatsApp reminders for beauty parlours, unisex salons, salon chains and bridal studios.

The aim is fuller chairs, an early-booked bridal season and clients who return.

The money in a salon is in the return visit. A haircut, a root touch-up, a facial or a beard trim each has a natural gap before the next one. The first visit costs effort. The fifth and the tenth are where the profit sits.

We count what your front desk sees: bookings and their source, chair occupancy and repeat rate. We read about three months of bookings first, then test one fix for four weeks and keep only what works.

The basics every small business needs are on our local business marketing page. Here is what is different for salons.

The basics

11 items

For salons and parlours

6 items
  • A booking link that opens a booking pageGoogle: the link must let clients finish the booking. WhatsApp chats don't qualify.
  • One profile for each branch, with the same salon nameGoogle: one page per location, and the same name across locations.
  • A written consent form for client photosThe DPDP Act, 2023 asks for clear, informed consent that is easy to withdraw.
  • A menu with fixed prices and package termsCCPA 2022: no "prices from as low as", and nothing called free if it is in the price.
  • A review link or QR code at the deskGoogle allows a link or QR code. Never give a gift for a review.
  • A WhatsApp yes, kept apart for reminders and offersWhatsApp Business Policy: opt-in first, a separate opt-in by message category.

Our beliefWe're professionals. We'd rather be blunt than pleasing.

/ 04 Order to start

Five jobs.Start with the one that hurts.

StepWhat we doWhy
1. Get picked on MapsA verified profile for each branch, with real photos and a booking link.Strangers look here first.
2. Earn reviews without pressureYour review link on WhatsApp after every visit. A reply to every review.Recent stars win the stranger.
3. Show the work, with consentBefore-and-after reels, same light, no filters, signed consent.Proof, with permission.
4. Bring clients back on timeReminders set to each service's gap, with a separate yes for offers.Profit sits in repeat visits.
5. Book the bridal season earlyReal brides in the portfolio, a trial page and a package sheet. Ads start months ahead.Brides choose months ahead.

A client's photo and phone number need her clear yes. A WhatsApp yes for reminders is not a yes for offers.

Salon marketing in depth

The rules that matter

The DPDP Act, 2023 (India's data protection law) asks for consent that is free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and as easy to withdraw as to give. Its Rules were notified on 14 November 2025 and phase in over 18 months. WhatsApp advises a separate opt-in for each message type.

How buyers decide

Our view: a stranger nearby searches on Maps, looks at photos and recent reviews, then books. A bride compares a few studios over weeks, often with her family. They drop out when the phone is busy, the price is unclear or the photos look staged.

What you can do, and what is not ours

You can keep a consent form at the desk, send your review link and ask clients for their yes to reminders. Your stylists' skill is what clients return for, and marketing cannot replace it. We cannot control Google's ranking.

How we would deliver, and why each step

We read three months of bookings first, because what filled the parlour across the road may not fill yours. We test one fix for four weeks, because small tests are cheap. We take photo consent in writing, because it protects your client and your name.

Bridal season coming? Let's plan what to publish and when, so brides find you months ahead. Plan the bridal season

/ 05 What usually gets in the way

What gets in the wayand the way through.

“Saturday is packed, but half our chairs sit empty on Tuesday.”

Message clients who are due and agreed to hear from you with the open slots, not a discount for everyone. Run small Meta ads before the quiet day.

“People find us on Maps, then give up when the line is busy.”

Add a booking link to your Google profile that opens a page to pick a service, a stylist and a time. Keep WhatsApp for questions.

“Brides ask for a quote, and then go quiet.”

Send a clear package sheet within the hour, offer a trial, and follow up once. Real brides in your portfolio, shown with consent, beat any offer.

“A client was upset to see her before-and-after on our Instagram.”

Ask in writing before the photo, say where it will appear, and take it down if she asks.

“Only our receptionist knows who is overdue, and nobody calls when she is away.”

Keep visits and consent in a CRM (customer relationship management), not one diary.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of marketing a salon.

There is no price list on this site. Ad money goes to Google or Meta at actual cost.

What affects the cost

  • Branches. A chain needs a profile and a report for each.
  • Your menu. Hair alone needs less content than hair, skin and bridal.
  • Seasons. Ads only in bridal and festive months, or all year.

How we quote

  1. A free 30-minute strategist call about your salon and busy months
  2. We read three months of bookings, then send a one-page plan
  3. A written quote follows within 2 working days. Nothing starts until you approve it

What you get in the quote

  • The branches, services and seasons covered
  • Shoots, reels and creator visits, month by month
  • The review, consent and reminder routines

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Set-upGoogle profile, booking link, review routine and consent forms. Timeline confirmed in the quote
Monthly planProfiles, reviews, social media, reminders, ads and the report. Minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
/ 07 Rules

The rules behind bookings, reviews, photos and offers

Clients' faces, numbers and words come with rules. We check them first.

The booking link. Google needs a verified profile. The link must open a page that completes the booking, not a social page or a WhatsApp chat. Google names hair salons as eligible.

Reviews. Google bans payment, discounts or free services for a review, and staff review targets. Sending every client your review link or QR code is fine.

Photos and offers. The CCPA (Central Consumer Protection Authority) guidelines of 2022 bar misleading visuals, and bar calling an item free when the package price includes it.

Beauty creators. ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) treats a free service as a material connection. The post needs a label such as Ad or Free gift, upfront.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • It brings new clients to your chairs and brings regulars back on time. That covers bookings, reviews, Instagram, bridal enquiries, packages and reminders. A useful agency starts from your bookings and repeat visits, not from a list of channels. We report bookings, chair occupancy and repeat rate each month.

  • Start a few weeks before opening day. Get the service menu, real photos and a booking page ready. Introduce your stylists on Instagram, invite neighbours to a soft opening, and ask every early client for an honest review. Then ask for a WhatsApp yes at billing.

  • It depends on your branches, your menu, how much content you need, and whether ads run all year or only in season. We don't publish a price list. We quote after a first conversation, with ad money, shoots and creator fees on their own lines. A written quote follows within 2 working days of the first call.

  • Profile fixes, a booking link and a review routine can show in bookings within a few weeks. Reminders to overdue regulars can work in the first month. Brides choose months ahead, so bridal marketing must start well before the season. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Yes, with her clear consent, taken in writing before the photo. Say where it will appear, and remove it if she asks. Keep both photos honest: same light, no filter. Keep the consent form on file, apart from her WhatsApp yes. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
