Design that helpsyour sales team sell.

Good design is judged by what the reader does next. PromotEdge designs brochures, catalogues, annual reports, decks, packaging and social media creatives for Indian companies.

Your design should bring in enquiries and orders, not need an explanation on every sales call.

Here is what we usually see: a good-looking brochure, a sales team that still explains everything on the call, and dealers who phone for part numbers. Most weak brochures fail on the words, not the layout, so our writers and designers work on the same job from day one.

If your brand has no clear rules yet, start with branding and identity. If you have them, we follow them, and we'll tell you plainly where they don't hold up. An 8 to 16-page brochure usually takes three to five weeks, mostly content and approvals. Want us to look at yours? Ask for a free plan.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

Where design jobs usually go wrong, and the way through.

“Our brochure looks nice, but the sales team still explains everything on the call.”

We start with the questions buyers ask your sales team. The brochure answers them, in the order they come up.

“We have hundreds of products, and the catalogue falls apart whenever prices change.”

We set the catalogue up so product data comes from one sheet. Change a price there and the pages follow. Nobody redraws them.

“The printed colours never match what we approved on screen.”

Screens mix colours from light (RGB); printers mix them from ink (CMYK). We build print files from the start and share a printed proof on colour-critical jobs.

“Every new designer wants to start from scratch.”

We work inside your brand rules. Where there are none, we write down fonts and colours, and grids too, as we go, so the next job is quicker.

“The PDF is so heavy that nobody can open it on WhatsApp.”

You get two files: one for the printer, and a light one for phones with tap-to-call numbers and working links.

“A one-line change takes our agency a week.”

Small changes are planned into the job, with a named designer and a turnaround agreed before we start.

/ 05 How we work

From briefto files that print right.

Catalogues and annual reports run longer; we agree their calendar in week 1.

  1. 01

    Brief (week 1)

Who will hold this, what they must do next, what they ask before buying. We collect old brochures. We also collect product data and photos, and your brand rules.

  2. 02

Page plan and words (weeks 1 to 2)

A page-by-page plan and the copy, approved by you before design starts.

  3. 03

    Design direction (week 2)

One or two directions shown on real pages with your real content, not a mood board.

  4. 04

Full design and changes (weeks 3 to 4)

Every page designed, then changed in the agreed rounds. One person on your side collects feedback.

  5. 05

Print and digital files (weeks 4 to 5)

Press-ready files, a printed proof where colour matters, a light PDF and social cut-downs.

  6. 06

    Hand-over

Final files and a list of fonts and images, plus licences. Think creative, act on numbers: each printed piece gets its own QR code, link or number.

We're professionals. We'd rather be blunt than pleasing.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) firm needs a catalogue dealers can search by part number, with prices that change without a redesign. A D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand designs for the phone first. An exporter adds units and certificates, and shipping terms. A listed company plans back from its AGM.

  1. Write the page plan before designing. Agreeing the words first saves more change rounds than anything else. A page-by-page plan.
  2. Show real pages, not a mood board. You judge the actual thing, with your content. One or two directions.
  3. Set files up for print and phone. Many brochures travel on WhatsApp before anyone holds a printed copy. A print file and a light PDF.
  4. Keep one source for product data. A price change should be made once. One sheet that feeds the catalogue.
  5. Count what the piece brings. Design is judged on calls and enquiries, and on orders. A QR code, link or number per piece.

AI in graphic design: today and next

Today: Google Gemini

Gemini apps can generate and edit images and add text to images, with better spelling in supported languages. Google says to use your discretion before you rely on, publish or use what it generates.

Today: Adobe Firefly

Adobe says Firefly makes images from text, images and sketches, can fill and expand an image, and marks outputs with Content Credentials.

Next

Our view: first layouts and image ideas will keep getting faster. Spec tables and prices, and every claim, still need a person who checks them against your data. Want us to show where AI saves time on your next brochure? Ask us.

/ 07 Cost

What graphic design costs.

We don't publish a price list. We quote design per job or as a monthly retainer. Printing and photography are separate lines. Printing is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy.

What affects the cost

  • Number of pages, products or designs
  • How much we write, compared with text you supply
  • New photography, illustration or 3D renders
  • Number of sizes and versions, and adaptations
  • How fast you need it (rush jobs cost more)
  • Paper and finish, and quantity, if we manage the printing

How we quote

  1. You tell us what needs designing, in what sizes, and how often.
  2. We look at your brand rules and the designs you already use.
  3. We write down the jobs and sizes, and the change rounds, as one project or a monthly plan.
  4. You get a quote within 2 working days, with design on one line, printing on another and photography on a third.

What you get in the quote

  • The list of jobs or the monthly volume
  • Sizes and versions for each design
  • Copywriting, if we write the text
  • Number of change rounds
  • Print files and phone versions, with source-file terms stated

For one quick poster with no brief behind it, a freelancer or a template tool costs less, and we'll say so. Compare quotes on the same sizes and number of designs, and change rounds.

/ 08 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • We quote per job or as a monthly retainer, and show printing and photography on separate lines, after a first conversation. Page count and how much copy we write, plus new photos and the print finish, move the price most. A one-page leaflet and a 300-product catalogue are very different jobs.

  • Plan on three to five weeks for a brochure. A catalogue takes longer, because data and photos, and prices, are checked item by item: a few hundred products can take six to ten weeks. We confirm the timeline in the quote before work starts.

  • Both. Our writers draft the copy from a briefing call and your existing material, and your technical team checks every spec and claim. At hand-over you get print files and digital files, plus a list of fonts and images. Open design files follow the terms in the quote, so ask in writing.

  • Yes. We manage printing for you, or prepare press-ready files for your own printer. Either way we advise on paper and finish and check proofs, including first sheets at the press on colour-critical jobs. Printing is billed at actuals, on its own line.

  • Branding decides who you are: your logo, colours, fonts and the rules for using them. Graphic design applies those rules to brochures, catalogues, decks, packs and posts. If your brand rules are missing or out of date, sort that out first.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most design runs on video calls and shared proofs, and we visit you regularly. Our in-house team of 65+ people does the work, helped by consultants and partner agencies. For Kolkata companies, see our Kolkata graphic design page.

  • We agree how to count before we start. Printed pieces carry their own QR code, link or phone number, and ads use tagged links. You compare that count with your own sales records. If a piece brings nothing, we say so and change it.

  • Ask to see work for a business like yours, and who writes the words as well as draws the pages. Ask what is included: change rounds, print files, a phone version and source files. Compare quotes on the same sizes and designs, and change rounds.
