Good pages can't rankif Google can't read them.

A site can have good pages that Google reads badly or skips. PromotEdge finds and fixes what stops Google from crawling, reading and loading your pages, so the pages you already have can rank and bring enquiries.

Technical SEO (search engine optimisation) is the work under the words. Pick it over full SEO services when your content is fine and the site is the problem. Not sure? Start with an SEO audit. It finds the problems; we fix them and keep them fixed.

/ 02 What's included

What we fix,and what you get back.

AreaWhat we fixWhat you receive
Crawling and indexingrobots.txt, sitemaps, stray noindex tags, pages Google left outPages to index, merge or keep out
Duplicate addressesFilter and tracking addresses, www versions, canonical tags (they name the main copy) pointing wrongOne address per page, redirects for the rest
Speed on phonesCore Web Vitals (Google's loading, response and layout scores): images, scripts, fonts, server timeTickets by template, with before and after numbers
JavaScript renderingWhether Google sees script-loaded contentA template check and the exact change for developers
Structure and redirectsClick depth, orphan pages, broken links, redirect chainsA link map and redirect clean-up list
Structured data (schema)Markup for company, products, FAQs, breadcrumbsValid markup per template, tested before launch
Release checksA check after each site update, so old fixes stay fixedA monthly note: checked, broken, fixed

Every fix is a ticket: what to change, why, how we test it. Google promises no rich results even for correct markup, so we never sell schema as a ranking trick.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“New pages take weeks to show on Google, or never do.”

Search Console's indexing report lists pages Google found but did not keep, and why. We read it first, then fix the cause.

“The site looks fine on a laptop and crawls on a phone.”

Google indexes the mobile version. A good page shows main content in 2.5 seconds and answers a tap in 200 milliseconds, on real visits. We fix the phone first.

“Our developer says it is done because the plugin shows green.”

A plugin checks titles page by page. It cannot show how Google renders your site. We check what Google sees.

“Traffic fell after we moved to a JavaScript website.”

Google crawls first and runs scripts later, so script-only content can look empty for a while. Server-side rendering or pre-rendering usually solves it.

“The same product sits at five different addresses.”

Filters and tracking codes make dozens of addresses. We pick one per page and point the rest at it.

“We blocked a folder in robots.txt, and it still shows on Google.”

Google says robots.txt does not keep a page out of its results. We use a noindex tag or a password.

We start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.

/ 04 How we work

Test on one template, then roll it out.

First fixes usually go live within a month, if your developers have time. Search changes then show over weeks, not days. These are planning ranges, not promises.

  1. 01

Week 1: listen and get access

Read-only Search Console and analytics access, a developer contact, and your sales team's view of which pages bring enquiries.

  2. 02

Weeks 1 to 3: crawl, render, measure

We crawl the site, check how Google renders key templates and pull real-visitor speed data.

  3. 03

Weeks 3 to 4: rank the fixes

Each problem is ranked by the business it holds back and the effort to fix.

  4. 04

Months 1 to 3: one template, then the rest

We fix one template, such as product pages, and check it. If it works, we roll it out.

  5. 05

    Every month: check and guard

We re-check after each release. You get a plain report: pages indexed, speed, rankings, enquiries.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business changes the plan

An online store mostly fights duplicate filter addresses. A machine maker often keeps specifications in PDFs that Google reads badly. A developer needs sold-out project pages retired without losing the live ones.

  1. Start with the pages that earn enquiries. A crawler can flag thousands of issues and most do not matter. A short, ranked fix list.
  2. Fix one template first. A fix that works on one template is safe to repeat everywhere. Before and after numbers.
  3. Write tickets your developers can ship. A fix counts only once it goes live. What to change, why, how to test.
  4. Check after every release. A site update can quietly undo old fixes. A monthly note.

AI in technical SEO: today and next

Today: Google's AI answers

Google says there are no extra requirements or special optimisations to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. The basics still apply: allow crawling, keep key content in text, and keep structured data matching what the page shows. Visits from these features are counted in Search Console under the Web search type.

Next

Our view: AI answers will keep changing, but a page Google cannot crawl or read is out of all of them. So the base work stays the same, and your developers' fixes keep paying off.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of technical SEO.

We quote against a written scope, with developer time, yours or ours, on its own line.

What affects the cost

  • Size of the site: pages, products, languages
  • The platform: custom builds need more digging than WordPress, Shopify or Magento
  • How much the site relies on JavaScript
  • Who ships the fixes: your developers, our web team, or both
  • The site's history: past migrations, old redirects, piles of plugins

How we quote

  1. A call about your site, your developers and the pages that bring enquiries
  2. If it is a fit, the free 12-point audit shows what we found
  3. One quote within 2 working days, each part on its own line, approved by you before work starts

What you get in the quote

  • The areas we fix, in order of business impact
  • The templates we start with, and why
  • Who writes the tickets and who ships them

When you compare quotes, ask who ships the fixes and how each is tested. A long list of tool warnings is not technical SEO.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

SEO usually shows results in 3 to 6 months. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • It makes sure Google can find, read and load your pages quickly. It fixes indexing problems, duplicate addresses, slow templates and hidden content. A good one writes clear tickets for your developers and checks each fix after it goes live, instead of only sending a report.

  • It depends on the size of your site, the platform, how much it relies on JavaScript and who ships the fixes. We quote after a first conversation, against a written scope, with developer time on its own line, so you can compare it fairly.

  • An audit finds the problems. Technical SEO fixes them and keeps them fixed. Our SEO audit ends in a ranked list of problems, and technical SEO turns that list into tested fixes that your developers or our web team ship.

  • Usually weeks, not days, because Google has to revisit the fixed pages. Speed fixes show in real visitor data within about a month. Rankings usually move in 3 to 6 months, if the content is good. These are planning ranges, not promises.

  • Ask to see a sample fix ticket, not just a sample report, and how they test a fix. Be careful with anyone who promises a perfect speed score or guaranteed rankings. Nobody controls Google, so a good company talks about checks, not guarantees.

  • Through numbers we agree before we start, read from your own Search Console and analytics: pages indexed, real-visitor speed, rankings and organic enquiries, before and after each batch of fixes. You can open the same reports and check them yourself.

  • Yes. Technical SEO is done online, so your city does not change the work. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We work through calls and shared screens, and meet you in your city at least once every three months.

  • Your developers can ship the fixes from our tickets, or our web team can. Some sites need both, and we agree who does what before work starts. One named person answers for your monthly report, backed by our in-house team of 65+ people.
