Sell more online, keep more of it.

More sales can still mean less money. PromotEdge is an ecommerce marketing agency that runs listings, ads and ratings for brands on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart, and grows their own D2C (direct-to-customer) websites, so each product sells at a profit.

Marketplaces bring ready buyers but take fees and keep much of the customer data. Your own store gives you margin and data, but you bring every visitor. Many brands run both, and we plan them together so prices and offers don't fight.

Quick commerce, the 10-minute delivery apps, is closer to modern trade. Being in stock in the right dark stores (small warehouses that each serve a few neighbourhoods) decides most of the result before any ad runs. Unlike a marketplace listing, ranking and availability are local.

/ 02 What's included

Every platform,one plan.

We work with D2C brands and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) makers, from startups to listed groups, whose products already sell somewhere. Makers of industrial parts, healthcare products and real estate fittings can sell on marketplaces too. Platform rules, ad formats and seller fees change often, so we read each platform's current policies at the start of every engagement.

01

Amazon account management

Seller Central, Brand Registry, listings, A+ content, Brand Store and Sponsored Products, Brands and Display. We watch for ad spend that buys sales you would get anyway.

02

Flipkart account management

Seller Hub listings, Flipkart Ads, F-Assured readiness and sale-event plans. Strong beyond the metros; deep discounts can leave no margin after fees and returns.

03

Quick-commerce marketing

Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart Minutes and BigBasket (BB Now): catalogue, pack sizes, dark-store availability checks, in-app ads and launch offers. Listing runs through each platform's category team, so your sales head joins the talk.

04

Listing and catalogue content

Titles, bullets, images, infographics, A+ content and catalogue attributes, written for each platform's search and for small screens.

05

Marketplace ads

Brand defence, category and competitor campaigns, with budgets by SKU and weekly bid reviews. Myntra, Nykaa and Meesho only where your range, price band and margins fit.

06

Ratings and brand protection

Honest review requests within platform rules, replies to buyers, and action against hijackers. No fake reviews, fake countdowns or hidden charges: rule-breakers can lose the Buy Box or be suspended.

07

D2C store growth

Checkout fixes, Google Shopping and Performance Max through Google Ads, Meta Ads, and email and WhatsApp for repeat orders.

08

SKU-level reporting

Sales, ad spend, ACoS, TACoS, returns, ratings and contribution margin for each SKU (stock-keeping unit, one product in one size or pack), per platform, every month.

/ 03 Sound familiar?

Where online salesleak money.

“Our Amazon sales are up, but we're losing money.”

Gross sales hide commission, fees, returns and ad spend. We report contribution margin (what a product earns after every cost) per SKU, then cut spend on products that lose money. If margin is already thin, we suggest price, pack-size or channel changes first.

“Our ads spend a lot and sell very little.”

Budgets are usually spread across every product and keyword. We start with hero SKUs (the few products that sell, or should), keep brand terms apart from category and competitor terms, and add negative keywords.

“We're listed on Blinkit, but shoppers never see us.”

On quick-commerce apps, a product out of stock in the nearest dark store isn't shown at all. We check availability city by city before spending on ads.

“Our product page looks weak next to competitors.”

Titles, images, bullets and A+ content (the richer description section a registered brand can add on Amazon) are rewritten for search and for a buyer on a phone.

“Someone is selling our product cheaper, and it may be fake.”

We use Brand Registry, listing controls and each platform's complaint tools to report hijackers and counterfeits, with evidence.

“Every sale event, we scramble at the last minute.”

We plan Prime Day, The Big Billion Days, Diwali and other peaks with your operations team well ahead. Stock and prices come first, then offers and budgets.

“Returns are eating whatever margin we have left.”

We read return reasons SKU by SKU. In fashion, wrong size charts are common; misleading photos and weak packaging are others. Fixing the listing or the pack often beats more ad spend.

“Our own website only sells when we give discounts.”

We fix speed and checkout first, then build repeat orders through email and WhatsApp, so the site is more than a coupon page.

We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

/ 05 How we work

From auditto margin report.

Listing fixes on products with traffic can lift conversion within weeks; ads sell from the first days; rankings and reviews take months. No marketplace case study is published yet, so we show no ecommerce results here. What you can check is how we report.

  1. 01

    Audit every platform

Listings, catalogue, ads, ratings, stock and pricing wherever you sell, compared with the sellers who win your category searches.

  2. 02

    Choose the hero SKUs

We start with products that sell, or should: the best margins, the clearest demand and strong reviews. The long tail comes later.

  3. 03

    Fix the listings

Titles, bullets, images, A+ content and catalogue attributes rewritten for search and for a buyer on a phone.

  4. 04

    Switch on the ads

Brand, category and competitor campaigns, with negative keywords and budgets set SKU by SKU.

  5. 05

    Run the calendar

Sale events, launches, festive peaks and stock plans agreed with your operations team weeks ahead.

  6. 06

    Report on margin

Weekly ad changes and a monthly report on sales, TACoS, returns and contribution per SKU, per channel.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C brand uses marketplaces for reach and its own site for margin and repeat orders. A packaged-goods maker adds quick commerce, where stock sits in local dark stores. A maker of parts or equipment may list on marketplaces and still win on enquiries.

  1. Audit every platform side by side. Prices and offers fight each other when each channel is planned alone. One sheet of listings, prices and stock.
  2. Start with hero SKUs. Ad money works hardest on products that already sell. A short list with margin per SKU.
  3. Check quick-commerce stock city by city. A product not in the nearest dark store is not shown at all. Availability by city before ads start.
  4. Rewrite listings for search and for phones. Conversion can lift before you spend more on ads. Before-and-after listing pages.
  5. Plan sale peaks with your operations team. Stock and price come first; offers and ads follow. A calendar with an owner for each date.
  6. Report margin per SKU. Gross sales hide fees, returns and ad spend. Monthly contribution per SKU, per channel.

Go deeper: the rules and our own marketplace

Rules for honest listings: ASCI

ASCI's online guidelines say quoted prices must include non-optional taxes and fees. This stops drip pricing. They also call it bait and switch to show a product and then say it is out of stock. So we check stock before ads.

A marketplace we run ourselves

Desi Machines is a PromotEdge group brand: an online marketplace for heavy machines. Running it keeps us close to a seller's daily questions on catalogue, trust and enquiries.

AI in ecommerce marketing: today and next

Today: Amazon's listing tools

Amazon says its AI tools can draft listing details from a photo, a web page or a spreadsheet. They can also fill missing details and make A+ Content. The seller stays responsible for accuracy. Check which tools your India account shows.

Today: Google Merchant Center

Google says Merchant Center needs AI-generated product images to carry IPTC DigitalSourceType metadata, and AI-generated product data to be labelled as AI-generated.

/ 07 Cost

What affects the cost of ecommerce marketing.

We don't publish a price list. Management is a monthly fee set by the platforms and SKUs we handle, or a one-off listing project. Platform commissions and ad spend are separate, paid to the platforms at actuals. We send the quote within 2 working days. Our cost guides explain how ad media is priced.

What affects the cost

  • Platforms: Amazon, Flipkart, quick commerce, other marketplaces and your own site
  • Number of SKUs, and how many need new listing content
  • Ad budgets and the number of ad accounts
  • Catalogue design work: images, infographics and A+ content
  • Sale-event support and brand-protection work

How we quote

  1. We ask which platforms you sell on, your top SKUs and your margin per sale
  2. We audit your listings, ratings, ad accounts and catalogue images
  3. We write a scope by platform: account work, listing rewrites, ads and sale events
  4. You get a quote with our fee, catalogue work and platform charges on separate lines

What you get in the quote

  • The platforms and the number of SKUs covered
  • Listing rewrites and A+ content, and for how many SKUs
  • Ad account management, with the ad budget shown as your spend
  • Sale-event plans, brand-protection checks and the monthly report, if you want them

Ask any agency to show every platform charge line by line. We do.

Straight answers.

  • Ecommerce marketing is the work of selling more online, at a profit. It covers marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart, quick-commerce apps and your own website: listings, ads, ratings, sale-event plans and Google and Meta traffic. A good agency reports profit per product, not just sales.

  • Most consumer brands need both. Marketplaces bring shoppers who are already searching; your own site brings margin, customer data and repeat orders. The right split depends on your category, price point and margins, and we model it with your numbers before recommending one.

  • Yes. We manage listings, A+ content, Brand Store, advertising, reviews and brand protection inside your Seller Central account. We work through user access, so the account stays in your company's name. We don't claim official partner status with Amazon, Flipkart or Blinkit. You keep full control and see every change.

  • Yes. We plan catalogue content, availability checks and in-app ads for quick-commerce platforms, because stock sits in local dark stores. The apps sell sponsored listings in search results and category shelves, plus banners. You buy them through each platform's ad tools or account team. They work only on SKUs that are reliably in stock in your target cities.

  • Yes. We work remotely, with a servicing team in cities across India. We talk daily, visit at least once every three months, and sit at your warehouse or office when a job needs it. Accounts run through user access you control, and we check quick-commerce stock in each city.

  • Enough to learn which keywords convert for your hero SKUs, then more where margin supports it. ACoS (advertising cost of sales) is ad spend divided by the sales the ads claim. TACoS is ad spend divided by all your sales, including organic. We set a TACoS your unit economics can carry.

  • You get a monthly report leading with contribution margin per SKU, then sales, ad spend, TACoS and returns. Listing fixes can lift conversion within weeks; category rankings take months. Nobody can honestly guarantee marketplace revenue or ROAS (sales for every rupee of ads), and we don't.

  • Fees depend on how many platforms and SKUs we handle, how many ad accounts there are, and whether catalogue content and creative are included. Platform commissions and ad spend are separate. We don't publish a price list; we quote after a first conversation.
