“Someone copies details from an email into the CRM, then checks status in another tool.”
An agent reads the request, looks it up in the CRM or sheet, and drafts the entry. A person checks it before it is saved.

AI agent development for mid-to-large businesses with repeat work across many systems. The agent reads, checks and drafts. A person approves.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
An AI agent is useful when it can act inside your systems, and safe when a person approves the steps that matter. PromotEdge, a marketing and growth agency, builds agents that read a request, check your CRM, draft or do one step, and ask a person to approve.
In plain words, a fixed rule always does the same thing. An agent gets a goal and a few allowed tools, and works out the next step itself. That is why it needs limits. It suits businesses with several teams, a CRM or ERP and many requests a week.
We are not an IT company. We use agents where they help sales, service and operations. They do not fit a decision about price, pay or people. A person takes those.
| Part | What we set up | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| One task | A repeat task chosen and its steps written down | A one-page task sheet |
| Allowed actions | A list of what the agent may read, draft and do. The rest is blocked | A permission list you approve |
| Connections | Links to the CRM, inbox or sheets, read-only first | Accounts in your company's name |
| Approval points | Steps where a person must approve before anything happens | Alerts to a named owner |
| Log and stop switch | Every step recorded, and a way to pause the agent | A log your team can read |
| Testing | Odd, rude and half-filled requests before launch | A test sheet |
| Voice or receptionist | On request, a phone or chat agent that takes details and hands over | A small test and a call log |
AI usage fees, CRM licences and call charges are paid to their providers and shown on separate lines.
“Someone copies details from an email into the CRM, then checks status in another tool.”
An agent reads the request, looks it up in the CRM or sheet, and drafts the entry. A person checks it before it is saved.
“Staff answer the same status questions all day: where is my order, what is my quote.”
An agent finds the status in your systems and drafts the reply. A person sends it.
“We tried a chatbot. It could talk but could not do anything.”
An agent connects to the systems behind the chat, with only the actions you allow. We begin read-only.
“We fear an AI tool will promise a price, a refund or a date.”
Those steps are off its list. It can only draft them, and a named person approves.
“Nobody can say what the AI did last Tuesday.”
Every step is logged: the request, what it checked, what it drafted and who approved. A stop switch pauses it.
“Calls go unanswered after hours.”
A voice agent or AI receptionist can answer, take details and pass a summary to a person. We start with a small test.
Have a task your team repeats all day? Tell us what it is and we will say if an agent suits it. Book a 30-minute AI check
We confirm the timeline in the quote. It starts with a 30-minute AI check: a call with a strategist and a one-page plan on where AI would help first. It is for projects we think we can help, and we take on a limited number.
You choose the repeat task that costs most time. We write down its steps.
We list what the agent may read, draft and do, and where a person must approve.
Read-only first, linked to your tools with accounts in your company's name.
Rude and half-filled requests go through first. Nothing reaches a customer before it passes.
A person approves each step. The log shows what the agent did.
We read the log, fix errors, and widen its job only if the drafts have been right.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
How it works, in plain words: the agent gets your instructions, the tools it may use and the records it may read. It suggests a step. The system checks it against the permission list. A person approves where you say so. Raju Barui, our backend developer, handles the links to your tools. Rima Shaw, our senior account manager, is your day-to-day contact.
Meta's terms for the WhatsApp Business Platform say you may not allow its data to be used to create, train or improve AI systems. Fine-tuning a model for your exclusive use is allowed. We read an AI provider's data terms first.

TRAI's explanatory note of 12 February 2025 says promotional auto-dialer or robo calls should go through 140-series numbers only, and service or transactional ones through the 1600 series. Check which applies before any voice agent calls out.

Anthropic's guide to agents, published 19 December 2024, says an agent decides its own steps and tool use. It suits open-ended problems, but brings higher cost and errors that add up. An agent can pause for human feedback at checkpoints, and the guide advises sandbox testing with guardrails.

Our view: agents will get easier to build and easier to over-trust. The permission list, the log and the approval step matter more. Want us to look at which task suits an agent first? Ask us.

The scope is written first. Set-up is a project, and monthly care is optional, with a 3-month minimum and then 30 days' notice. AI usage fees and software licences are third-party costs, billed at actuals.
Comparing quotes? Ask who owns the accounts and the log, and what happens to the agent if you leave.
We start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Rahul MishraAssistant Manager Digital Marketing & Ecommerce at Magik LightingIt designs, builds and tests software agents that work inside your tools. An agent reads a request, checks your CRM or other records, then drafts or does one step. PromotEdge also sets the guard rails: what it may do, who approves, and a log of every step.
A fixed rule always does the same thing. A chatbot mostly talks. An agent works out the next step itself, such as looking up an order and drafting a reply. Because it decides, a person approves the steps that matter. Website chat is on our chatbots page.
Quote or change prices, give discounts, promise dates, issue refunds, delete records, move money, message a whole list or decide on hiring. It can read and draft these. A named person approves. Anything else is allowed only after it has been tested.
Each agent gets a permission list, starts read-only, and asks a person before any step that changes money, records or what a customer sees. Every step is logged with who approved it. A stop switch pauses the agent. We test with odd and rude requests before launch.
Often, when the system has a way to connect. We work with tools such as HubSpot, Zoho or Salesforce, and we check what each one allows before we promise anything. If a link is not possible, we say so. Accounts stay in your name. See CRM integration.
It can answer, take the caller's details, book a slot or pass the call to a person. We treat it as a small test first, with a call log you can read. Outbound calls follow calling rules, so check them with your lawyer before launch.
We keep data in your accounts, collect only what the task needs, and record consent. The DPDP Act, 2023 asks for clear, specific consent that a person can withdraw. This is general guidance, not legal advice. Also check what your AI provider does with the data.
