Hindi dailies, Urdu papers, FM and Google all work in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, and each needs its own test. PromotEdge plans search, ads, newspapers, radio and outdoor together. Each rupee is checked against the enquiries it brings.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Lucknow buys in two ways at once: old Awadh families through Hindi and Urdu papers, and company buyers through Google search. As a digital marketing agency for Lucknow, PromotEdge plans Google search, ads, websites, social media, Hindi and Urdu papers, radio and outdoor for firms that sell in Uttar Pradesh (UP).
Every part is judged by the enquiries and sales it brings back.
First, how we work. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and your account is run by our in-house team of 65+ people, mostly online in hybrid mode. We travel to Lucknow when a meeting, a shoot or a launch needs us.
We look at your business first. Marketing comes second. We open with your sales record: last quarter's enquiries, where each one came from and how many became orders. Then we can say which rupee is working. Sometimes the honest advice is to spend less.
When the plan needs several kinds of work, one team plans them together: strategy, advertising, digital marketing and on-ground marketing such as stalls and events. The Hindi press ad, the search listing and the mall stall then repeat one offer and send people to one phone number.
Hindi, Urdu and English use three scripts, so one page rarely answers every searcher.
02On weak signal in a nearby district, a heavy page can lose the sale before it opens.
03A short Reel can show fine chikankari skill in seconds, where a still photo goes flat.
04A dealer meet that ends at dinner, with no order booked, only costs a hall and a night.
05A capital's papers are full of government news, so your story must show what changes.
Our beliefWe start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.
Three things decide where we would put your budget in the state capital.
1. A very large state, run from this city. PRS Legislative Research expects UP's GSDP (the value of everything the state produces in a year) to reach Rs 39.8 lakh crore in 2026-27. That is a budget projection, 28% above the revised figure for 2025-26. Invest UP, the state's investment agency, calls UP the "Largest Consumer Market in India". That is its own claim. Lucknow hosted the UP Global Investors Summit, with about Rs 33 lakh crore of investment promises (February 2023). UP also had 21,960+ startups recognised by DPIIT (the central department that certifies startups) on 31 March 2026, third after Maharashtra and Karnataka. And the BrahMos missile unit opened in Lucknow in May 2025. A promise to invest is not money spent. But new projects need suppliers, and their buyers search online before they call.
More on the languages, the food and craft trade, the winter festival and the two markets in one city, with sources.
Lucknow is two markets in one city. Nawab Asaf-ud-Daulah moved the capital of Awadh here in 1775, and the district's website calls it "The City of Nawabs". Today it is also the state capital. Census 2011 counted 45,89,838 people in the district. That is why a chikankari seller in Chowk and a startup selling software to other firms should not buy the same media. One may need a Hindi daily and Instagram. The other may need Google search and LinkedIn.
2. Three languages on the same street. Hindi is UP's official language, and a 1989 change to the state's language law made Urdu the second. The district lists both as spoken in Lucknow. The papers follow suit. ABC (the Audit Bureau of Circulations, which checks newspaper sales) lists Hindi and English dailies with Lucknow editions. The Urdu daily Inquilab has printed here since 2011. Online, TRAI (the telecom regulator) counted 152.67 million internet subscribers in UP in March 2026. That is 62.82 connections per 100 people, and one person can hold several.
3. Food, craft and a winter festival. UNESCO named Lucknow a Creative City of Gastronomy in 2025, for its Awadhi food. Lucknow chikankari, the city's hand embroidery, has had a GI tag since 2008. A GI (Geographical Indication) tag ties a product to its home town by law. That gives restaurants and clothing labels stories the city already loves. The Lucknow Mahotsav, an art and culture festival, comes every year in late November–December, right after the Diwali rush. Ekana stadium, home ground of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, adds match-day crowds.
Selling to old Awadh families, to company buyers, or both? Tell us who buys, and we'll say where we would start. Tell us who buys
Lucknow has six private FM stations and several Hindi dailies. The city also has rules for hoardings, and some roads allow no ads at all. Start with one radio station or one paper. Before you pay for a board, ask to see the site's permission.
| What | In Lucknow | What it means for your plan |
|---|---|---|
| Private FM radio | Six stations on the government's March 2026 list: 91.1, 93.5, 94.3, 98.3, 104.0 and 107.2 MHz. | Short spots, repeated in the week before a sale. |
| Akashvani (All India Radio) | 747 kHz, FM Rainbow 100.7 MHz and Vividh Bharati 101.6 MHz. The government's 2017 card lists FM Rainbow Lucknow at Rs 550 gross for a 10-second prime-time spot. That rate is the government's, not ours. | A cheap test of whether radio brings calls. |
| Hindi dailies | Dainik Jagran, Hindustan and Amar Ujala, all listed with ABC. Navbharat Times added a Lucknow edition on 4 August 2013. | The main print route to families. Ask each paper for its reach, area by area. |
| English and Urdu papers | Hindustan Times, The Times of India, The Hindu and The Economic Times (ABC). Inquilab, in Urdu, since 27 May 2011. | English for officials and company buyers. Urdu for readers who prefer it, with copy from our language partners. |
| Hoarding sites (Lucknow Municipal Corporation, LMC) | Under LMC's advertising bylaw, gazetted on 23 January 2021, sites go by auction or tender. Only advertisers registered in category A may bid. | Book through an owner who holds the site's permission, and ask to see it. |
| LMC's yearly rates | Per sq m per year, bus shelters and police booths are Rs 5,000 in A zones, Rs 4,000 in B and Rs 3,000 in C. LED ads pay 100% extra. Ads on private land pay 65% of the rate. | The city's rates, not ours. Your quote should list them on their own line. |
| Roads with no ads | No ads at all on Mahatma Gandhi Marg or Vidhan Sabha Marg. No hoardings within 20 m of a main crossing or 10 m of a highway. | Some of the busiest roads are closed to outdoor. Check each site before you pay. |
| Event banners and illegal posters | Event cloth banners: 10 sq m at most, down within 14 days. In January 2025 the Mayor ordered strict action on unauthorised posters and hoardings. | Offenders are fined and must repaint walls at their own cost. |
| Ekana stadium and Janeshwar Mishra Park | Ekana seats 50,000, and the ICC calls it "the fifth largest international cricket stadium of India". Janeshwar Mishra Park covers about 376 acres and opened in 2014. | Big crowds for match-day promotions and outdoor events, with permission. |
| Lulu Mall and Hazratganj | Lulu Mall opened on 10 July 2022 with 2.2 million sq ft. The Lucknow Development Authority calls Hazratganj "over 200 years old" and describes a heritage upgrade for it. | A new mall and an old high street draw different shoppers. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. LMC rates are from its bylaw as gazetted on 23 January 2021; ask LMC for the current figures before you book. The Akashvani rate is from the government's 2017 card.

We don't publish a price list. After a first call with one of our strategists, we write the scope and quote against it. Media, printing, venues and travel are billed at actual cost, and you see each one before you approve it.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of your work runs online, in hybrid mode, and we meet you in Lucknow to plan and review.
Calls first, visits when they count. We start with a 30-minute call with one of our strategists, then send a one-page plan and a written quote within 2 working days of the call. Nothing starts until you approve. Our people come to Lucknow for the planning workshop, shoots and launch days. When a job needs it, one of our team works from your office or plant.
The online work, the media we book, stalls and events, language, and what changes the cost.
Online work. Online, we run your SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up on Google without paying for each click), Google and Meta ads, website and social pages. Ad accounts open in your company's name. What can't be measured can't be achieved, so every enquiry is counted and traced to its source.
Papers, radio and hoardings. We book Hindi, English and Urdu dailies, FM and Akashvani. For outdoor, we check each site against LMC's closed roads and its permission. You approve every rate first.
Stalls and events. Mall promotions and match-day events are delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with industry consultants and partner agencies added where a job needs them. Printing is handled through the same partner.
Language. We pick Hindi, Urdu, English or a mix by who buys from you. Our language partners write each version fresh, and our team checks it. They also create content in Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more.
Choosing an agency in Lucknow. Ask every agency, us included. Who writes your Hindi and Urdu copy? Are the ad accounts in your name? Can you see a real monthly report? Is media shown apart from the fee?
What changes the cost:

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online in hybrid mode. We stay in touch with you every day. We meet you in Lucknow at least once every three months, and come again for shoots and launches. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
No agency can answer that honestly about itself, so we won't claim it. Test agencies with hard questions instead. Who will run your account? Who writes the Hindi copy? What would they stop doing in your current plan? Pick the one that answers most clearly.
Yes, with the same team. Outside the big cities, the plan changes. TRAI counted 136.50 internet subscriptions per 100 people in urban UP in March 2026, against 38.96 in rural UP. So small-town plans lean more on Hindi papers and radio.
Choose by buyer, not by habit. Hindi is the state's main language, so it suits most family buyers. Urdu reaches readers who prefer it. Officials and company buyers often respond to English. Many plans run two versions, each written fresh by our language partners.
Start early. Diwali comes first, and paper and radio slots before it fill early. The Lucknow Mahotsav follows every year in late November–December, and we found no official 2026 dates. We confirm its dates before booking. Search and social ads can go live within days.
Yes, within LMC's advertising bylaw. Hoarding and bus shelter sites go by auction or tender, and only category A advertisers can bid. Roads such as Mahatma Gandhi Marg allow no ads at all. Event banners can be up to 10 sq m, for 14 days. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
