Chatbot development for mid-to-large businesses whose buyers need a person at the right moment. Answer the easy questions fast, then hand over.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A chatbot should answer the easy questions and then get out of the way. PromotEdge is a marketing and growth agency, not an IT company.
It builds website, WhatsApp and Instagram chatbots for mid-to-large businesses in India, so more chats turn into leads, bookings and orders.
There are two kinds. A rule-based bot follows buttons and menus, so it never makes things up, but it gets stuck. An AI bot reads a question in the customer's own words and writes a reply, but it can sound sure while wrong.
Most businesses need a mix: fixed answers for prices and bookings, AI for open questions from approved content, and a person one tap away. It suits healthcare teams handling appointment questions and industrial and manufacturing firms sorting dealer enquiries.
A bot answers a question. An AI agent goes further: it reads a request, checks your CRM and drafts the next step for a person to approve. That is on AI agents. Help for customers who have already bought is on AI customer support.
| Part | What you receive |
|---|---|
| Use-case plan | Three to five first jobs, such as collecting a lead's name and need |
| Channels | Bots live on WhatsApp, a website chat box, Instagram, or all three, in your company's name |
| Conversation design | A chat map you approve: every message, button and fallback; AI answers only from approved content |
| Human handover | Rules for when a person takes over, who gets the chat and how fast |
| Links to your systems | The bot connected to your CRM, calendar or order system through an API |
| Consent and records | Opt-in wording, a privacy-notice link, an easy stop and dated consent records |
| Testing and monthly review | Tricky questions tried on phones before launch; failed chats read and fixed monthly |
CRM (customer relationship management) software keeps all leads in one place. An API lets two pieces of software share data. Our WhatsApp marketing covers messages you send out; a chatbot handles what follows.
“Our team types the same reply fifty times a day.”
A bot answers the ten common questions in seconds. Your team talks to people ready to buy.
“Night enquiries are gone by morning.”
The bot replies at once, asks two or three questions and books a call-back, so the lead is warm.
“We tried a bot and customers got stuck in a loop.”
That bot had no way out. Ours always offer "talk to a person", with a rule for who picks up and how fast.
“Half our chats are "Where is my order?"”
We connect the bot to your order system. It shares status and passes real problems to support.
“We fear an AI bot will promise what we don't offer.”
Fair worry. Prices and policies stay on fixed answers, AI uses only approved content, and we test with tricky questions.
Send us your ten most repeated customer questions and we will tell you which a bot can answer. Book a 30-minute AI check
We confirm the timeline in the quote. The first step is a 30-minute AI check: a call with a strategist and a one-page plan on where AI would help your business first. It is for projects we think we can help. We take on a limited number and say honestly if it is a fit.
We read about 200 recent chats and call notes and sort the questions people really ask.
The bot has to impress your customers, not you. You approve the chat map and policy answers first.
Flows, AI answers where they help, and your systems. Then your team and ours try to break it.
One channel first. We watch every chat for the first few days, then read and fix the misses every month.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
A D2C brand points the bot at order status and returns. A clinic or real-estate team points it at bookings and site visits. A dealer-led B2B firm uses it to qualify enquiries before a salesperson calls.
Meta says its AI agent replies in WhatsApp chats around the clock, answers product questions and escalates complex cases to a person. You flag topics it should avoid. It is available to eligible businesses in select markets.

Our view: AI will answer more kinds of questions. Prices, policies and promises will still need fixed answers and a person who can take over.
Worried a bot will upset your customers? Talk to us before you build anything. Talk to us
We don't publish a price list. Meta's message charges, chatbot software and AI usage fees are third-party costs, billed at actuals and shown before you approve.
Compare quotes: is human handover included, is there a test round, and who owns the number, bot and content if you leave?
We know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Rahul MishraAssistant Manager Digital Marketing & Ecommerce at Magik LightingWe won't claim to be the best; nobody can honestly say that. Ask each company four things. Can a person take over the chat? Is the bot tested with tricky questions? Who owns the number, bot and content if you leave? How are leads reported? Ask us the same four.
Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India and stays in touch daily. We meet you at least once every three months, or sit at your site if a project asks. Chatbots are built online, in your customers' languages.
Yes. AI can misread a question or invent an answer that sounds right. We cut the risk: AI answers only from your approved content, fixed facts stay fixed, and we read failed chats monthly. No one can promise never wrong, so a person stays one tap away.
General guidance, not legal advice: Meta's policy lets you message people only after they opt in. When a customer writes, a 24-hour window opens for free replies; outside it, only Meta-approved templates. A bot must offer a way to reach a human, and you must stop when asked. Meta's terms bar services whose main product is a general AI assistant.
Yes, through Meta's messaging tools for Instagram business accounts. As general guidance, the bot can reply within 24 hours after a person messages you, and Meta's Human Agent tag lets a real person reply by hand within seven days. So it works best for fast replies and collecting details.
If the bot collects a name or phone number, plan for consent. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 says consent must be free, specific, informed and clear, and withdrawing must be as easy as giving it. Our bots ask first, link your privacy notice and accept "stop". Not legal advice.
We plan, manage and deliver the bot, with one point of contact. Our in-house team of 65+ people does the work, with industry consultants and partner agencies where needed. Number, accounts and bot content are set up in your company's name.
Yes. Our group brand Desi Machines has a chatbot and a WhatsApp chat path we built, though we share no figures for it. We will share more relevant work on a call, and explain what each bot did and changed.
