A state capital, a steel belt and a planned new city.Who is your buyer?

A plan copied from another city rarely fits Raipur, where a state capital, a steel belt and the new town of Nava Raipur pull buyers in different directions. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites and social media, and books Hindi dailies and radio, for Raipur's steel and rice-mill firms, colleges, clinics and shops.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online in hybrid mode, we talk every day and visit Raipur at least once every three months.

Raipur's buyers range from firms in the district's five state-listed industrial areas to students weighing IIM Raipur. Others are families choosing a clinic. We start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like. So before we suggest a channel, we ask who enquired last quarter, how they found you and who paid. One team then plans strategy, advertising, digital marketing and BTL (below the line: stalls, events and shop branding) around that answer.

/ 03 The Raipur market

Mills, a planned capital and a home language: what shapes a Raipur plan.

Five local facts decide what we would test first in Raipur.

1. Mining and manufacturing drive the state's economy. PRS analyses state budgets. It puts Chhattisgarh's GSDP at Rs 6,31,290 crore in its 2025-26 revised estimates and expects 8.1% growth at constant prices. GSDP is the value of all goods and services the state makes in a year. PRS says agriculture, manufacturing and services are estimated to give 21%, 46% and 33% of the state's economy. These shares are at current prices. Mining is estimated to bring the state Rs 19,000 crore in 2026-27, which is 76% of its own non-tax revenue (income other than taxes). IBEF is the Commerce Ministry's trade-promotion body. It puts the state's goods exports in 2025-26 at Rs 16,510 crore and names rice, engineering goods, electronic goods and spices. Wikipedia's Raipur entry counts hundreds of steel rolling mills and rice mills, with no year given. CSIDC is the state industrial body. It lists five industrial areas in Raipur district: Urla, Siltara, Bhanpuri, Sarora and Tilda.

More on the planned capital, the campuses, the languages and the November date, with sources.

The Raipur market in depth

The district website says Raipur became the state capital because of its central position in Chhattisgarh. It gives Raipur district 21,60,876 people at Census 2011. The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC, the city council) runs the city through 10 zones and 70 wards.

2. A new, planned capital. Nava Raipur Atal Nagar is the planned new capital city, about 17 km south-east of Raipur, says Wikipedia. Its development authority says it spreads over close to 250 sq km and took in 41 villages. The plan was homes for 4,50,000 people first and up to 6,00,000 by 2031. That is a plan, not a head count. Before you pay for a board or a shop there, find out how many people live and work in your sector today.

3. Campuses that draw students and patients. IIM Raipur was set up by the Government of India in 2010 and offers MBA, Executive MBA and PhD programmes. AIIMS Raipur is one of six AIIMS set up by the Union Health Ministry. A private college or clinic competes with them for the same students and patients. Our education and healthcare pages explain how.

4. Chhattisgarhi at home, Hindi in the paper. Wikipedia lists the Census 2011 mother tongues in Raipur district. They are Chhattisgarhi 61.77%, Hindi 25.16%, Odia 3.21%, Sindhi 1.94%, Marathi 1.33%, Bengali 1.28% and Urdu 1.01%. Hindi and Chhattisgarhi both have official status in the state. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) audits newspaper sales. Its list shows Raipur editions of Dainik Bhaskar, Patrika and Hari Bhoomi in Hindi. It also shows The Hitavada and The Times of India in English. The government's list of 30 March 2026 shows three private FM stations in Raipur, on 94.3, 95.0 and 98.3 MHz.

5. A November date and a monsoon calendar. Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava, the state's foundation day, falls on 1 November every year. The state was formed on 1 November 2000. By our count, the 2026 one is the 26th. The district's culture page lists Hareli (monsoon greenery, when farmers worship their tools and cattle). It also lists Pola (a festival of bulls) and Teeja (a women's festival). The district site gives an average highest temperature of 44.3 degrees C and 1370 mm of rain a year. Wikipedia says the monsoon runs from about mid-June to early October. So an open-air stall needs a roof then and shade in the heat.

What each service meansin Raipur.

Raipur has two Akashvani radio channels and five industrial areas in the district. Run one Hindi daily and one FM station for a month. Give each its own phone number, then count the calls.

See the numbers and sources
ServiceWhat is true in RaipurHow we would use it
Advertising: papers and radioAkashvani (public radio) lists the Primary Channel (981 kHz) at Rs 500 or Rs 300 gross per 10-second spot, by programme type. The card is dated 1 June 2017. It lists Vividh Bharati (101.6 MHz) at Rs 390, Rs 330 or Rs 280, by category. Those are the government's rates, not ours.Run one Hindi daily and one FM station for a month, each with its own phone number. Count the calls, then move money to the winner.
Outdoor and signageThe RMC publishes an Advertisement Policy (page last updated 21 June 2023) and a guidelines page. Nava Raipur's authority names places where crowds and traffic gather. They are the stadium in Sector 3, the business district in Sector 21, Nandanvan Jungle Safari and Purkhauti Muktangan.Get the current rules and the owner's permit in writing before you pay. Start with one hoarding at one crowd point.
Events and stallsThe tourism site calls Purkhauti Muktangan an open-air museum of the state's resources, industries and attractions. It also lists Vivekananda Sarovar, a lake with a 37-foot statue.A dealer meet or stall is planned with you and delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy.
SEOCSIDC lists Urla, Siltara, Bhanpuri, Sarora and Tilda as industrial areas in the district.SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up on Google without paying per click) needs a page for each mill product, college course and clinic service.
Social media marketingThe district names folk forms: Raut Nacha, Devar Nacha, Panthi, Sowa, Padki and Pandwani. Pandwani is singing the Mahabharata in local style.Short Hindi clips and festival greetings can borrow from these, once the performers agree.
Website design and developmentTRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 66.37 internet subscribers per 100 people in Chhattisgarh in March 2026. The figure for India is 76.59. That is a state figure, not Raipur alone.A mill selling to other states needs a catalogue site with grades, sizes, photos and an enquiry button. A college needs course pages, and a clinic needs its services and timings.

/ 05 Cost

What decides the costof a Raipur plan.

We do not publish prices. Once we have talked, we write down the Raipur work you need and quote for that scope. Media, print, permits and travel are billed at actuals, with your approval first.

How we quote

  1. A first call about who buys from you and what came in last quarter.
  2. A written quote within 2 working days of that first call, showing our fee apart from media, print and permit costs.
  3. Work begins when you sign off, with a first report after one month.

What you get in the quote

  • Which buyers we aim at: Raipur, Nava Raipur or other states
  • Channels and language versions, line by line
  • A calendar around Rajyotsava, Diwali and the rains
  • Media, print and permit costs at actuals

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerOngoing work, reviewed with you each month. Minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
Fixed projectA catalogue site, a launch or one Rajyotsava push. A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and we confirm other timelines in the quote

Ask for a free growth plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number, and tell you honestly if yours is a fit. We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

/ 06 How Raipur work runs

Worked online. Seen in person every quarter.

We have served Indian brands since 2015. Your Raipur account is worked online in hybrid mode by a servicing team based in cities across India, and you see us in person.

Meeting you. The first call is by video, then we talk every day and come to Raipur at least once every three months, to your mill, office or campus. Raipur Junction is on the Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line, says Wikipedia. The Airports Authority of India counted 27,63,498 passengers at Raipur's airport in 2025-26, up 7.4%. When a job needs it, a team member works from the client's own office or plant.

Stalls and signs, languages, and what decides the cost.

How we work in Raipur

Stalls and signs. A Rajyotsava stall, a dealer meet, signage or an LED screen is planned with you and delivered through the same partner. Printing of mill and college catalogues is handled through the same partner too.

Hindi, Chhattisgarhi and more. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. If your buyers need Chhattisgarhi, Odia, Sindhi or Urdu, tell us early. We confirm whether a partner can take it on.

What decides the cost:

Buyer. A mill selling to dealers needs catalogue pages. A college needs course pages and Hindi ads.

Channels. Search and social only, or Hindi dailies, FM and Akashvani as well.

Season. Rajyotsava and the rains each need their own plan.

Outdoor. Each site's owner, permit and the RMC's policy are checked one by one.

Selling in Raipur?

Show us last quarter's enquiries. We will say what we would test first.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and our in-house team of 65+ plans Raipur accounts. Most of the work runs online in hybrid mode, and we stay in touch every day. We visit at least once every three months, and when a job needs it, a team member works from the client's own office or plant.

  • No agency can honestly claim that title, and we won't try. Ask each one for a real monthly report with the client's name hidden. Ask who writes the Hindi copy and who reads the RMC's advertisement policy before a board goes up.

  • Census 2011 puts Chhattisgarhi first in the district at 61.77%, with Hindi at 25.16%, says Wikipedia. The Raipur dailies on the ABC list are in Hindi or English. So start with Hindi, which our language partners cover. If your buyers need Chhattisgarhi, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on.

  • It depends on the site. The RMC publishes an Advertisement Policy on its website (page last updated 21 June 2023). It also has a separate guidelines page. Read the current policy, and get the owner's permit in writing, before you pay for any board. Nava Raipur has its own development authority, so ask there. General information, not legal advice.

  • Rajyotsava falls on 1 November every year. So ask Hindi dailies and the three FM stations about slots near it a month ahead. Hareli, Pola and Teeja are on the district's festival list, but their dates change each year, so we fix them before any booking.

  • Wikipedia's Raipur entry counts hundreds of steel rolling mills and rice mills. So a buyer sees many look-alike listings. A page for each product, with grade, size, packing and an enquiry button, gives a buyer something to compare. Write it in English for other states and in Hindi for local dealers.
