/ 01 Social media for local businesses

Your customers live nearby.Your posts should reach them.

For a salon or a gym, a like from another city does nothing, because most customers live or work within a few kilometres. PromotEdge does social media marketing for small businesses.

We plan Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp for salons, gyms, studios or home services, and help you make Reels on a phone. We judge it by one result: more people near you booking a visit, a class or a call.

A few thousand people nearby, who know your work and find it easy to book, will fill your diary. Reach across India will not. So tag your location on every post, and keep every paid ad inside a circle around your shop.

Find your trade under marketing for local businesses. Google and Maps are a separate job, covered in SEO (search engine optimisation) for small business. A bigger brand will suit our social media marketing service.

/ 04 What usually gets in the way

What gets in the wayand the way through.

“Our posts get likes, but from people in other cities.”

Name your area in every caption and tag your location. Keep every paid ad inside a circle around your shop.

“I don't have time to make Reels between customers.”

A phone is enough. We send a shot list each week, you film three or four clips in under 30 minutes, and we edit them.

“People message 'price?' and then disappear.”

Answer fast with a price range and a booking link, saved as WhatsApp quick replies. A CRM (customer relationship management: one place for every enquiry) reminds you to follow up.

“The person who ran our page has left, and nobody has the password.”

Put the page under your own owner login and add others as limited users. We keep every account in your name.

“We paid to promote a post and got strangers' likes, but no bookings.”

Promote only posts that already earned saves or messages, set the goal to messages, and keep the circle tight around your area.

/ 05 How we work

From your streetto a booked slot.

  1. 01

    1. Draw your circle

We start with where your customers really come from, using your bookings and your staff. That circle sets the areas in captions and the radius of each paid ad.

  2. 02

    2. Set up your three profiles

Instagram and Facebook get your area, hours and real photos. WhatsApp Business gets a greeting, quick replies and a catalogue. Broadcasts go only to customers who agreed, as WhatsApp's policy asks.

  3. 03

    3. Plan, film and post

Each month mixes your work, your people, customer proof and free slots. You film on a phone, and we edit. Ask customers before showing their face.

  4. 04

    4. Reply fast, in public and in private

Comments, DMs (direct messages) and reviews get an answer every day. You take bookings and complaints.

  5. 05

    5. Run small ads, and team up with creators

Meta can aim an ad at a circle as small as 1 km around an address. We promote only posts that earned saves or messages. A creator who gets a free service or money must label the post as an ad.

  6. 06

    6. Count bookings, not likes

What can't be measured can't be achieved. One page a month shows messages, bookings by platform, reviews and repeat customers.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

A free gift to a creator makes the post an ad. WhatsApp messages need the customer's yes first.

Social media for small business in depth

The rules that matter

ASCI's influencer guidelines treat a free product or service as a material connection. The post needs a label such as Ad, Collaboration or Free gift, upfront and not buried in hashtags. Health and nutrition creators must state their qualifications. WhatsApp's policy lets you message only people who opted in.

How buyers decide

Our view: a neighbour sees a Reel, opens your profile, looks at your photos and your last few posts, then sends a WhatsApp message. They drop out when the last post is months old, the area is unclear or nobody answers.

What you can do, and what is not ours

You can film with your phone, answer messages and keep every account under your own login. We cannot make a post spread, or make someone who wants a cheaper price book. Meta and WhatsApp can also change their tools, so we keep the plan simple.

How we would deliver, and why each step

We draw your circle first, because captions and ads both need it. We set up the profiles next, because every post sends people there. We run small ads only on posts that earned messages, because paid reach alone books nobody. Then we count bookings.

Body to know

Run a salon, gym, studio or home service?

Tell us what's not working. We'll show you where the bookings are.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Yes, if your customers live nearby and your work looks good on camera. Salons, gyms, studios, cafés and home services all fit. It does less for a business that sells through tenders or to a few large buyers. It also fails if nobody answers messages, because the next profile wins the booking.

  • Most need three. Instagram shows your work. Facebook reaches older customers and local groups. WhatsApp handles bookings and keeps regulars close. YouTube suits a trade where people search for how-to videos. LinkedIn and X rarely bring walk-in customers, so two platforms done well beat five done badly.

  • If you do it yourself, plan for two to three hours a week. That covers one filming session of about 30 minutes, editing, posting and daily replies. If we run it, you need about 30 minutes a week for approvals and a few clips filmed at work.

  • It depends on the platforms, the number of Reels and posts, who films them, and whether we answer messages. Ad money is separate and goes to Meta. After a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, a written quote follows within 2 working days, with each part on its own line.

  • A small ad aimed at your area shows early whether people respond. Unpaid posts take longer, so give a steady rhythm time before you judge it. Anyone promising a flood of bookings in a week is selling followers, not customers. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Yes. ASCI's influencer guidelines treat a free service as a material connection. The post needs a label, such as Ad or Free gift, upfront and not hidden in hashtags. The CCPA (Central Consumer Protection Authority) can fine the maker or endorser of a misleading ad up to ₹10 lakh, or ₹50 lakh for repeats. General guidance, not legal advice.
