/ 01 Corporate gifting company

A gift that fits the personis a gift they keep.

Most corporate gifts are picked from a catalogue in a hurry, and most end up in a drawer. PromotEdge plans and delivers corporate gifts and branded merchandise for companies across India.

We design in-store displays too. What you give is chosen for the person, and it reaches them in time.

Corporate gifting means giving gifts in the name of a business, to a client, employee, dealer, vendor or event guest. Branded merchandise (also called promotional products) is anything useful that carries your name, made in numbers for many: a diary, a bottle, a bag, a power bank.

What decides if a gift is remembered is rarely the price. It is whether the item is useful to that person, whether it is well made, whether it arrives before the festival, and whether your name on it is tasteful. We start from those four, in that order. A gift with no clear receiver or date is only a cost.

Who needs this. Any company that gives gifts more than once a year: a sales head thanking top clients, an HR team welcoming joiners, a manufacturer rewarding dealers (see trade and channel marketing). It suits healthcare firms thanking partner labs, industrial makers, real estate developers welcoming new owners, and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) brands running trade schemes.

In-store displays are part of this too. To sell more from a shop shelf, read our visual merchandising page. For small printed pieces at the counter, see POSM (point-of-sale material).

How we would start with you. Many gifting companies start with a catalogue. We don't. We ask who is receiving the gifts, what they care about and what you can spend on each person. Then we suggest a few options, send a sample of each, and agree one before the full order is placed.

The work is done by our in-house team of 65+ people, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them. Gifts and merchandise are delivered within the PromotEdge group. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so we can pack and send to many addresses at once.

Your logo, colours and rules come from branding. The whole group sits on our below-the-line (BTL) and activation page.

/ 02 What we run

Gifts, merchandiseand displays in one plan.

01

Client and festive gifts

Diwali gifts, New Year hampers, boxes and single gifts for other occasions, chosen for the person and packed with a personal card.

02

Employee and welcome kits

Joining kits, work-anniversary gifts and event kits for teams, with sizes and choices collected from each person where it matters.

03

Dealer and channel gifts

Gifts that sit alongside a dealer scheme or a loyalty programme, ordered in numbers and sent to each territory.

04

Branded merchandise

Promotional products made in numbers, such as diaries, bottles, bags and desk items, with your branding placed on a sample first.

05

Event and conference kits

Delegate kits and giveaways for conferences, dealer meets and exhibitions, packed and sent to the venue.

06

In-store displays

Shelf plans, fixtures and windows for brands sold in shops. This is a separate page, because the goal is to sell, not to give.

/ 03 Sound familiar?

What usually goes wrongwith corporate gifts.

“We chose the gift in a rush and it looks like everyone else's.”

We begin with the receiver, not the catalogue. Two or three options come with samples, so you hold the thing before you order a thousand.

“The gifts reached our clients after the festival.”

We work back from the date: sample, approval, making, packing, courier. The plan shows each date and a buffer for delays.

“Our logo is so big that the gift feels like an advertisement.”

A gift is a gesture, so the branding is quiet: a small mark in a good place, or a card in your name. We show the placement on the sample.

“Half the parcels went to old addresses.”

We check the address list with you first and flag missing pin codes and phone numbers. You get a sheet of what was delivered and what came back.

“The quality was nothing like the sample.”

We keep the approved sample and check the finished lot against it. Anything that fails is reworked, not sent.

“We give gifts every year but cannot tell if it did anything.”

We keep a simple record of who got what, and what followed: a repeat order, a meeting or a referral. Gifts rarely show up as sales on their own, so we say so.

/ 04 How we work

Brief, sample, approve,make, pack, deliver.

From brief to delivery usually takes four to eight weeks for made-to-order items, and less for items ready to buy. That is a planning range, not a promise. For festival gifts, start earlier.

  1. 01

    Brief

Who receives the gifts, how many, the date, the budget for each person, and anything to avoid. We can't do magic alone, so a quick brief and a quick sample approval from you keep the dates safe.

  2. 02

    Options

Two or three ideas, each with a reason. We say which one we would pick and why.

  3. 03

    Samples

You hold the real item, with the branding placed on it. Nothing is made in numbers before you approve a sample.

  4. 04

    Approve and order

The sample, quantity, delivery list and dates go into one written scope. You approve it before the order is placed.

  5. 05

    Make and check

The lot is checked against the approved sample before it leaves. Anything that fails is reworked.

  6. 06

    Pack and deliver

Each gift is packed with a card and sent to each address. You get a sheet of what was delivered and what came back.

  7. 07

    Review

We note what came back, what people said, and what to change next season.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

  1. Start from the receiver. A gift fits one person's life. A catalogue pick fits nobody in particular. Two or three options, each with a reason.
  2. Send a real sample before any order. Photos hide quality, colour and where the logo sits. The real item, with your branding on it.
  3. Work back from the date. Festival weeks are busy for every maker and courier, so a late sample means a late gift. A dated plan with a buffer.
  4. Check the lot against the sample. Quality can drift between sample and bulk. A pass-or-rework check.
  5. Clean the address list first. Old addresses are the commonest waste in a gifting round. Flagged pin codes and phone numbers.

Go deeper: gift types, dates and receivers

Who gets what, and what we check first

Client and festive gifts (hampers, sweets, quality diaries): dietary and cultural fit, the date, and whether the client's company allows gifts.

Employee and welcome kits (bags, bottles, tech accessories): sizes, your brand rules, one kit for every location.

Dealer and channel gifts (counter items, scheme rewards): your scheme rules and delivery to each territory.

Event and conference kits (bags, notebooks, lanyards): head count, the venue's delivery rules and the on-site date.

Branded merchandise in numbers (caps, T-shirts, drinkware): the sample, the logo placement and the maker's minimum order.

Dates to work back from

The central government's 2026 holiday order lists Dussehra on 20 October 2026 and Diwali on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Some states observe Diwali a day early. Count back from the day a parcel must reach the person, not the festival.

Gifts to government officers

Rule 13 of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964 sets reporting and prior-sanction conditions for gifts a government servant may accept. Ask a government receiver's office about its rules before you send.

AI in corporate gifting: today and next

Today: words and pictures

Gemini in Google Docs can draft a note from a prompt and rewrite it shorter or more formal. Google says to review the changes. Adobe lists detailed product mockups among Firefly's uses and calls its own models commercially safe. A mockup shows where a logo could sit. Only a real sample shows the quality.

Our view: drafts and pictures will get faster for everyone. The sample in your hand and the delivery date still decide whether a gift lands. Want us to plan yours? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of corporate gifts.

We do not publish a price list, because a single hamper and ten thousand branded bags are very different jobs. The quote comes after we talk, and the scope is written down first.

What affects the cost

  • The item, its quality and how many you need
  • How much branding it carries, and how it is applied
  • Packaging, such as a plain box, a printed box or a hamper
  • Personal cards, or a different gift for different people
  • The number of addresses, and how far the parcels travel
  • Rush orders and festival weeks, and the minimum order a maker asks for

How we quote

  1. You tell us who receives the gifts, how many, the date and the budget for each person
  2. We suggest options and send samples, and you pick one
  3. The item, branding, packing and delivery list go into one written scope
  4. We send the quote within 2 working days, with items, branding, packing and delivery on separate lines

What you get in the quote

  • A short plan with options and a reason for each
  • Samples with your branding placed on them, and a check of the finished lot against the sample
  • Packing, cards, dispatch and a delivery sheet
  • Anything a maker or courier charges, shown at cost on its own line

Before you pick a quote, ask each supplier to send a real sample, show the delivery dates, and say what happens if a gift arrives damaged. A cheap gift that arrives late is not cheap. Ask your accountant how gifts are treated for tax and GST before you set the budget.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

Straight answers.

  • It means giving gifts in the name of a business: to clients, employees, dealers, vendors or guests. Business runs on relationships, and a useful, well-timed gift shows someone was remembered. It will not win a deal alone, but a rushed, generic one does the opposite.

  • A corporate gift is chosen for one person or a small group, such as a hamper for a top client. Branded merchandise is made in numbers for many people, such as bags for a conference. The same item can be either. The difference is how personal it is.

  • Yes. We check the address list with you, pack each gift with a card, and send to every address. You get a sheet showing what was delivered and what came back. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so we can plan and follow up from where you are.

  • Gifts rarely show up as sales on their own, so we do not pretend they do. We keep a record of who got what, and what followed, such as a thank-you, a meeting, a repeat order or a referral. After a season, we look at it with you and decide what to repeat and what to change.

  • It depends on the item. Ready-to-buy items can be ordered in small numbers. Made-to-order items usually have a minimum that the maker sets, and we tell you what it is before you decide. A hamper for fifty clients and a bag for five thousand delegates are planned differently.

  • As early as you can. Festival weeks are busy for every supplier and every courier. For made-to-order items we usually suggest starting two months ahead, and sooner for large lots. Ready-to-buy items can be planned later. That is a planning range. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We work hybrid and remotely, so calls, samples and approvals move fast wherever you are. We visit regularly, and when a job needs it, our team works at your site. The work is done by our in-house team of 65+ people.

  • Yes. In-store displays, shelves, windows and fixtures are covered on a separate visual merchandising page, because they are for brands that sell from shops, not for gifts. We can plan both together if you need them, with one contact and one timeline for the gifts and the displays.
