AI automation for mid-to-large businesses whose sales and marketing work still runs by hand. A tool cannot fix a process nobody has written down. Map the work first, then automate what repeats.

Fix the process,then automate it.

Many companies buy an AI tool first and write the process later. PromotEdge is a marketing and growth agency, not an IT company.

We build and run the AI systems behind your marketing and sales, with one named owner for each and a person checking what a customer sees.

We grow your business through marketing, sales and the AI systems behind them. AI implementation here means the lead reply, the reminder, the report and the quotation, set up and then run. It suits mid-to-large businesses with several sales people, dealers or branches and a CRM or accounts system in use.

Rules first, AI second. A fixed rule is cheaper and never wrong. AI reads messy text, and a person takes the price talk, the complaint and the hiring decision. To decide what to build first, start with AI strategy consulting and its AI process audit.

The work is done by our in-house team of 65+ people, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so we set this up online and meet your people where they work.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

Where company work quietly leaks, and the way through.

“Leads come in from five places, and one person copies them into a sheet.”

Every source feeds one list, with the source marked. No lost rows, and no lead waits because one person was busy.

“Follow-up depends on one person remembering. When she is on leave, enquiries wait.”

The rule moves into a system. A reminder goes to the owner, and if nobody acts in the time you set, to someone else. See sales automation.

“Every Monday someone builds the weekly report by hand from three tools.”

We connect the tools that hold the numbers, so the report builds itself and a person reads it. We check it against your records.

“We bought a CRM (customer relationship management software) and two AI tools last year. Nobody uses them.”

Usually the tool came before the process. We start from the work, keep what you own if it can do the job, and drop what nobody needs.

“Quotations take a day because someone retypes the same details.”

Enquiry details fill a template, and a person checks the price and sends it. The person owns the number. The machine does the typing.

“We tried a chatbot and customers got stuck.”

That bot had no way out. We design the exit first: when it stops, who takes over, and how fast. See the chatbots page.

“Each branch and dealer works in its own way, so nothing joins up.”

We write one standard flow with room for local rules, try it in one branch, then roll it out.

Systems we builtfor ourselves first.

Desi Machines is a PromotEdge group company, so this is our own work: its chatbots, its email and WhatsApp marketing, and its SEO and AEO (showing up in AI answers). We have no measured results from this build yet, so take it as proof of what we can build, not of results.

/ 05 Beyond sales and marketing

Tools, back officeand forecasts.

AreaWhat we set upWhere a person stays
RPA and workflow toolsRPA (robotic process automation) is software that clicks and types in screens when tools have no ready link. We work with Power Automate, Zapier, Make and n8n. You hold the accounts. Each flow has a named owner and an alert when it fails.
Operations and financeInvoices, purchase orders and quotations read into your accounts or ERP system, plus payment reminders and month-end reports. See document processing.A person approves payments and checks the exceptions. Your accountant owns the numbers.
Demand forecastingA forecast of next month's orders or stock, read from past sales, seasons and campaigns. It gives a range, not one number.Your team decides what to buy or stock. If your sales records are not clean, we fix that first.

Our beliefWe start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.

/ 06 How we work

One process at a time, each with an owner.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. The first step is a 30-minute AI check: a call with a strategist and a one-page plan on where AI would help your business first. It is for projects we think we can help. We take on a limited number and say honestly if it is not a fit.

  1. 01

    Pick one process

After the check, you choose the one that hurts most. We start with one, not ten.

  2. 02

    Map it as it is

We sit with the person who does it and write down every wait, retype and workaround.

  3. 03

    Decide what stays human

Each step is a rule, an AI helper or a person. Prices, promises and complaints stay with a person.

  4. 04

    Build the smallest version

One working flow, using tools you own where they can do the job.

  5. 05

    Test with dummy data

Odd, rude and incomplete entries go through first. Nothing reaches a real customer until it passes.

  6. 06

    Hand over with an owner

A one-page note: what it does, who owns it, what to do when it fails. Accounts are in your company's name.

  7. 07

    Review every month

What failed, what nobody uses, what to add. Dead automations are switched off.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

Raju Barui, our backend developer, builds the flows and the links between your tools. Rima Shaw, our senior account manager, is your day-to-day contact while it is built.

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C brand starts with order and delivery questions. A dealer-led B2B maker starts with quotes and dealer enquiries. A franchise starts with onboarding and one reporting format. A services firm starts with the monthly client report.

  1. Start with one process, not ten. One finished flow teaches the team more than ten half-built ones. A named process and its owner.
  2. Write the steps as they are today. You cannot automate what nobody has written down. A one-page map with every wait.
  3. Use a rule where a rule works. Rules are cheaper and never wrong. A short list: rule, AI helper or person.
  4. Test with odd and rude inputs. Real customers type things nobody planned for. A test sheet before launch.
  5. Hand over with accounts in your name. You should be able to change agencies without losing your system. A one-page note per automation.
  6. Review every month. Tools change, and forms get renamed. A short list of what broke or went unused.

AI in automation: today and next

Today

Microsoft says Copilot in Power Automate can create a flow from a plain-language description, calls itself new technology that is still being developed, and tells you to test the flow. Zapier says its agents can perform tasks across 9,000+ apps and draft customer replies from your knowledge base. Neither page mentions a person approving the result. That part is ours to build.

Next

Our view: tools will get easier to connect, and mistakes will get easier to miss. Owners, alerts and a person checking what customers see will matter more. Want us to look at where AI could help in your company? Book a 30-minute AI check.

/ 08 Cost

What affects the cost of automation.

Tidying one lead path and rebuilding how a whole company runs are different jobs, so the scope is written first. Software licences, AI usage fees and Meta's message charges are paid to their providers.

What affects the cost

  • How many processes, teams and branches are involved
  • How many tools must share data, and whether they have a ready link
  • How much old data must be cleaned or moved
  • How many people need training, and where
  • Whether AI helpers are needed, and how much checking
  • Monthly care after launch

How we quote

  1. You tell us which process hurts most, and who does it today
  2. We map it with the people involved and list the tools it touches
  3. We write the scope: flows, tools, an owner for each, and how success is judged
  4. The quote lists set-up and monthly care on separate lines, software fees shown as the provider's cost

What you get in the quote

  • The process map, and what to automate, remove or leave
  • The flows, built and tested
  • Links between your tools, where they can be linked
  • Training, and a one-page note per automation
  • A monthly review, if you choose it

When you compare quotes, ask who owns the accounts, who is told when a flow fails, and what happens to the flows if you leave.

/ 09 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • It finds the routine steps in your sales, marketing and back-office work, then builds and runs software and AI tools that do them, with a person in charge where it matters. A new enquiry is logged, assigned and followed up without anyone typing. We map the process first, because automating a bad process repeats the error.

  • Process automation means software does a routine step by a fixed rule. AI automation adds a tool that reads or writes ordinary text, and no-code means the flow is built from joined blocks. AI implementation fits any of these to a real process: who uses it, what a person checks and who owns it.

  • The task done most often by hand, where a delay or a mistake costs you money. For many companies that is lead follow-up. For others it is invoices or the weekly report. AI strategy consulting and its process audit decide the order. This service then builds and runs it.

  • Usually, yes. We work with the CRM and accounts or ERP system you already use, or help you choose one. Whether two tools can share data depends on what each allows, so we check before we promise anything. If a tool cannot be linked, we say so and suggest a way round it.

  • Yes, an AI tool can misread a message or invent a detail while sounding sure, so prices and promises stay with a person and drafts are checked first. As general guidance, not legal advice: WhatsApp needs opt-in and approved templates, commercial SMS needs DLT registration, and India's DPDP Act, 2023 asks for clear consent.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We work hybrid and remotely, visit regularly, and when a job needs it, our team works at your site. Most automation is built online, so distance rarely slows the work, and we agree the meeting plan up front.

  • We agree the measure before we build, such as how long a lead waits for its first call. We note the figure before and after, from your own records. We have no measured results from our own builds yet, so we quote none. If a flow makes no difference, we say so.

  • You do. Accounts, licences and flows are set up in your company's name, and our team works inside them as invited users. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum. After that you can stop with 30 days' notice, and everything stays with you.
