/ 01 Blinkit ads and quick commerce marketing

Every ad rupee on the appshould bring an order you'd have missed.

Quick commerce ads can grow sales and still lose money when nobody checks stock, city and margin. PromotEdge plans and runs ads on Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart for brands, and plans your listings on the other quick-delivery apps too.

Each rupee of ads should bring an order at a profit.

Quick commerce means delivery in minutes from small local warehouses called dark stores. Stock sits near the shopper, so ranking and availability are local. A listing on Amazon or Flipkart works differently.

Choose this page over our wider ecommerce marketing service when the apps are your main question. It suits D2C (direct-to-customer) brands and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) makers on these apps. Sellers of health products, industrial goods and home fittings sometimes list too.

We start from your margin per order, test small, then scale what works. If the ads won't pay, we will say so to your face.

How you'll know it worked. We have no quick commerce results to show yet. Each week you see spend, orders, ROAS (rupees of sales per rupee of ads) and margin after ads.

Ad accounts stay in your company's name. We work as added users, and you pay ad spend straight to each app.

/ 03 Sound familiar?

Signs your quick commerce adsaren't paying back.

“We spend on Blinkit ads every month. Nobody can tell us what they returned.”

The app credits some sales to ads. We add your margin and the app's share, so you see each city's earnings.

“Our ads keep running where we're sold out.”

We check stock before each budget change and pause spend until the refill.

“Search our brand name on the app, and a rival's product shows first.”

Rivals can bid on your name. A small brand-name campaign keeps your shoppers, cheaply.

“ROAS looks great. But most of those orders would have come anyway.”

Ads on your own name often buy orders you already had. We split brand, category and rival searches.

“We're a D2C brand. Our Meta ads work, but the apps feel like a black box.”

The apps work like a shop shelf, not a social feed. We start small, then point your Meta ads to cities with steady stock.

“Every month the app's team suggests a bigger budget.”

A bigger budget is not a plan. We set the lowest ROAS each product can carry, and grow spend above it.

/ 04 How we work

From the first auditto ads that pay.

Set-up takes one to two weeks, then a city pilot needs four to six weeks of data. Planning guidance, not a promise.

  1. 01

    1. Read your numbers

Margin per order, the app's share, discounts you fund and current ad results.

  2. 02

    2. Audit the ad accounts

Where spend goes, and how often ads run where you're sold out.

  3. 03

    3. Pick hero SKUs and pilot cities

A few products with steady stock, in one or two cities. We can't do magic alone: the more your team tells us, the faster you see results.

  4. 04

    4. Build the campaigns

Brand, category and rival searches, each with a lowest ROAS. You approve every budget.

  5. 05

    5. Run, check stock, adjust

Weekly bids, paused spend where stock runs out, and cuts to searches that bring no orders.

  6. 06

    6. Scale what works

Cities and products that beat their ROAS floor get more budget. The rest are fixed or paused.

How we deliver it, and why

Catalogue and quick-commerce operations

Each product has small details on every app: title, pack size, price, images and stock by city. A wrong one wastes ad money. Each week we compare your master sheet with the listing details and stock lists you share, and flag what differs. Software can do the comparing and draft the fix. A person on your team approves each change before it goes live. The idea is on AI agents, and the wider line is on AI automation.

  1. Start from margin per order. The app's share, discounts you fund and ads all come out of each sale. A margin sheet by SKU.
  2. Check stock before any budget change. Each dark store serves one area, so ads where you are sold out buy nothing. Spend paused until the refill.
  3. Split brand, category and rival searches. Ads on your own name often buy orders you already had. ROAS for each type.
  4. Set a lowest ROAS for each product. More budget pays only where the product can carry it. Avi Saraf, our Performance Marketing Lead for quick commerce and D2C, leads the quick commerce ad work. A floor for each SKU.
  5. Begin with one app and a few cities. Tools and terms differ by app, and a small pilot teaches you cheaply. A city pilot.

Blinkit

Brands can list through Seller Hub, a self-serve portal, and advertise with Blinkit Ads, a sign-in tool.

Zepto

Its own ad service for brands and sellers is called Jarvis.

Swiggy Instamart

Brands use a sign-in Brand Portal. Swiggy reported 1,136 dark stores in 131 cities on 31 December 2025.

Flipkart Minutes, BB Now and Amazon Now

Flipkart says Minutes has 1,000 micro-fulfilment centres in 130+ cities and works with close to 500 D2C brands. BB Now listing pages show 10-minute delivery on selected locations. Amazon says Amazon Now covers more than 120 cities. We found no public ad page for these three.

AI in quick commerce marketing: today and next

Today: an honest gap

Our search on 10 October 2026 found no official page from Blinkit, Zepto or Swiggy Instamart describing AI tools in their ads. The Zepto Jarvis report does not mention AI. If someone sells you "AI bidding" on these apps, ask to see the app's own page.

Next

Our view: the apps will add smarter tools, and stock and margin will still decide who earns. Want us to read your numbers? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart ads.

No price list. These things move the number.

We don't publish a price list. We quote after a first conversation, against a written scope, within 2 working days. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to each app.

What affects the cost

  • Apps. Each has its own ad tool and reports.
  • Cities. More cities mean more budgets and stock checks.
  • SKUs. Each hero product needs its own campaigns.
  • Creative and reports. New banners add design time. Joining app reports with sales data takes set-up.

How we quote

  1. We talk about your products and cities
  2. We look at your ad accounts and listings
  3. We write the scope
  4. You approve a quote with each part on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • The apps, cities and SKUs covered
  • The stock check and reports. Ad spend and studio costs at actuals

Ask each agency how it will show margin after ads, city by city.

Straight answers.

  • Quick commerce is shopping delivered in minutes. Orders are packed at dark stores: small warehouses near shoppers, closed to walk-in customers. Flipkart and Amazon call theirs micro-fulfilment centres. Each store serves one area, so what a shopper sees depends on where they live.

  • Your product must be listed and in stock first. Blinkit then has an ad tool for brands, Blinkit Ads, where you sign in, create a campaign and choose an ad format. Start with a few hero products, and judge them on margin after ads.

  • Each app runs its own ad tools. Zepto's is called Jarvis, and Swiggy Instamart has a sign-in brand portal. We found no public ad page for Flipkart Minutes or BB Now. Terms change, so we read each app's current terms before we spend.

  • Brands list through Blinkit's Seller Hub, a self-serve portal (Inc42, October 2024). A vendor guide from September 2026 lists GST, PAN, bank and, for food, FSSAI papers, and says a Blinkit category manager approves products before go-live. Check the portal for current steps.

  • No app is best for every brand, so choose by fit. Check where your shoppers live, where each app delivers, whether your stock reaches its stores, and your margin after its share and ads. Start with one app and a few cities.

  • It depends on your margin, not the app's sales. Count the app's share, discounts you fund, ad cost and sales lost to empty shelves. We start with a small test budget and grow spend only where ROAS stays above each product's floor. No one can guarantee ROAS.

  • India's E-Commerce Rules, 2020 bar a seller from posting reviews while pretending to be a shopper, so we never post or buy fake reviews. Amended rules notified on 9 September 2026 say apps must mark sponsored listings clearly, once in force. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • One contact runs your campaigns. Our in-house team of 65+ people works online, in any city, and meets you at least once every three months. For projects we think we can help, we audit your current app ads free first. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.
