A Gandhi house, craft workshops and a big fair.Which buyer are you after?

Rajkot's buyers sit in workshops, jewellery shops, college offices and fair crowds, so a plan that picks one channel for all of them misses most of the city. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites and social media, and books Gujarati dailies and radio, for Rajkot's engineering workshops, jewellers, textile printers and colleges.

Each month you see which channel brought the orders.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online in hybrid mode. We talk every day and come to Rajkot at least once every three months.

The district's own website gives Rajkot district 38,04,558 people, but prints no Census year. Wikipedia counts 13,90,640 people in the city itself at Census 2011. It calls Rajkot Gujarat's fourth-largest city, in the Saurashtra region.

A silver jeweller, a parts maker and a college chasing admissions need three different plans. We look at your business first. Marketing comes second. So we start with last quarter's enquiries: who called, through which channel, and who paid. One team then plans around that answer. It covers strategy, advertising, digital marketing and BTL (below the line: stalls, events and shop branding).

  • 2015working with Indian brands since
  • 65+in-house team: strategy, creative, media and tech
  • 4pillars under one roof: strategy, advertising, digital, on-ground activation (BTL)
  • 6cities: head office in Kolkata, teams in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar

/ 03 The Rajkot market

Craft, language and calendar: three things that shape a Rajkot plan.

Read these before you set a budget. They decide which channel earns its place first. The first is below, and two more are in the fold.

1. Craft workshops, engineering and a new airport. The district website says Rajkot is well known for textile printing. It lists embroidery, block printing, metal crafts, silver jewellery, stone work and wood carving. It adds that silver craftsmen and goldsmiths of the Soni community have long worked on fine jewellery patterns. The new airport at Hirasar opened in 2023, says Wikipedia. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) counted 12,46,996 passengers there in 2025-26, up 14.6%. Rajkot's engine and parts makers can see how buyers decide on our manufacturing and auto-parts pages. Its silversmiths can see the same on our jewellery page.

The language, the papers and phones, and the Gandhi house, the fair and the festivals, with sources.

The Rajkot market in depth

2. Gujarati first, with papers you can check. The district website names Gujarati as the main language. It says Gujarati, English, Urdu and Sindhi are the most common. Gujarat Samachar's e-paper site says it publishes from Rajkot. Sandesh's e-paper page lists Rajkot among its city editions. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) checks newspaper sales and lists no member edition for Rajkot. So ask each paper for its own figures in writing. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 62.78 million internet subscribers in Gujarat in March 2026. That is 84.67 for every 100 people, against 76.59 for India. It is a state figure, not Rajkot alone.

3. A Gandhi house, a fair and nine nights. The district says Karamchand Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi's father, was Diwan (chief minister) of Rajkot State. He lived where Kaba Gandhi no Delo stands. Wikipedia says that house is a museum. It says Alfred High School became the Mahatma Gandhi Museum in 2018. The district names three big festivals. Uttarayan, the kite festival, falls in mid-January every year. Navratri is nine days of Garba. The third is Janmashtami. It says the Janmashtami fair, five days at the race course with over 150 stores, draws over ten lakh people every year. That is the district's claim, not a count, and the 2026 fair fell in August or September. In 2026, Navratri starts on 11 October, says a Hindu calendar site. Gujarat's 2026 holiday list puts Dussehra on 20 October.

/ 04 Rajkot at a glance

What each service meansin Rajkot.

Rajkot has four private FM stations. The city council has no published hoarding rules that we could find. Test one FM station against a newspaper ad for a month, then ask callers which one they heard.

See the numbers and sources
ServiceWhat is true in RajkotHow we would use it
AdvertisingThe government's list of 30 March 2026 shows four private FM stations, on 92.7, 93.5, 94.3 and 98.3 MHz. Akashvani has a Primary Channel on 810 kHz and Vividh Bharati on 95.8 MHz. Its 2017 card lists the Primary Channel at ₹500 gross for a 10-second spot in film and music slots, and ₹300 in spoken-word ones. That is the government's rate, not ours. We found no published hoarding rules from the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC, the city council).Test one of the four FM stations against a Gujarat Samachar or Sandesh ad for a month, then ask callers which one they heard. For a board, we ask the site owner and the RMC zone office what permit it needs before you pay.
BrandingThe district calls Rajkot famous for Dayro, its own folk music, and names chania choli and kedia as festival dress. If you make parts for other firms, put your own name, product and proof first, so a buyer remembers you. Use Dayro or festival dress only where a Gujarati family is the buyer.
SEOWikipedia lists three private universities (RK, Atmiya and Marwadi) and 12 engineering colleges. Saurashtra University says it was set up on 23 May 1967.SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up on Google without paying per click) means a page for each part a workshop makes. For a college, it means a page for each course.
Social media marketingThe district describes a mostly vegetarian table. It is a thali of dal, rice, roti, vegetables, farsan (savoury snacks), a sweet and chaas (buttermilk). Wikipedia says Niranjan Shah Stadium at Khandheri seats 28,000.Post thali shots for food brands, Garba clips for the nine nights and kite days for January. Ask the Saurashtra Cricket Association what branding a match day allows.
Website design and developmentThe RMC's site offers online tax payment, complaints, Fire NOC (fire-safety clearance) and a mobile app. Many residents already fill in forms online.A workshop selling to other cities needs a catalogue site with part names, photos and an enquiry button. Rajkot's block-print makers and silver jewellers selling online need clear photos and a plain returns line. A tour firm can link the Gandhi museums, once their hours and tickets are checked.

/ 05 Cost

What decides the costof a Rajkot plan.

We do not publish a price list. After we talk, we write the Rajkot work you need into a scope and quote against it. Media, printing, permits and travel are charged at actuals, with your approval.

What affects the cost

  • Buyer. Dealers need catalogue pages. Families need Gujarati offers.
  • Channels. Search and social only, or the four FM stations, Akashvani and Gujarati dailies too.

How we quote

  1. A call about your buyers and last quarter's enquiries.
  2. A written quote within 2 working days of that first call, with our fee shown apart from media, print and permit costs.
  3. Work starts once you sign, and the first report follows a month later. What can't be measured can't be achieved, so each report shows which channel brought the enquiries.

What you get in the quote

  • Who we aim at: Rajkot, Saurashtra or other states
  • Channels and language versions, line by line
  • A calendar around Navratri, Diwali and Uttarayan
  • Media, print and permit costs at actuals

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerOngoing work, reviewed with you each month. Minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
Fixed projectA catalogue site, a launch or one festival push. A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and we confirm other timelines in the quote

Ask for a free growth plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number, and tell you honestly if yours is a fit.

Our beliefWe believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 06 How Rajkot work runs

Worked online. Met in Rajkot every quarter.

Rajkot clients are served by a team that has worked with Indian brands since 2015. Most work runs online in hybrid mode, and we travel to meet you.

Meeting you. A video call comes first, then daily contact. We visit your workshop, counter or campus in Rajkot at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from the client's office or plant.

How we run each kind of work in Rajkot, and what else can change your quote.

How we work in Rajkot

Dailies, radio and boards. We book Gujarati dailies, the four FM stations and Akashvani. We confirm each hoarding site's owner and permit before you pay. Search, ad and social accounts stay in your firm's name.

Stalls and the fair. A Navratri stall or a dealer meet is planned with you and delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. We found no published organiser or dates for the Janmashtami fair. So we would ask the RMC before planning a stall there. Printing of catalogues is handled through the same partner.

Gujarati and more. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. Our team checks every version.

What else changes the cost. Language: Gujarati alone, or Gujarati, Hindi and English together.

Season. Slots from Navratri to Bestu Varsh book early. Uttarayan in January needs its own plan.

Outdoor. With no published RMC hoarding rules, each site's permit is checked one by one.

Reach. The city alone, or other Saurashtra towns too, each with its own media check.

Selling in Rajkot?

Show us last quarter's enquiries. We will say what we would test first.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Our in-house team of 65+ plans Rajkot accounts, in daily contact with you. Most of the work runs online in hybrid mode. We come to Rajkot at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from the client's own office or plant.

  • No agency can honestly claim that title, and we won't try. Ask each one for a real monthly report with the client's name covered. Then ask who writes the Gujarati copy and who applies to the RMC for hoarding permits. Pick the clearest answers.

  • Wikipedia says Gujarati is the mother tongue of 94.6% of the city at Census 2011, and Hindi of 2.71%. For families, start in Gujarati. A firm selling parts to other states can keep its catalogue in English and Hindi. The district lists Urdu and Sindhi too. If your buyers need either, tell us early and we check a partner.

  • In 2026, Navratri starts on 11 October, Diwali falls on 8 November and Bestu Varsh on 10 November, so paper and radio slots fill early. Search and social ads can start closer to the dates. Plan Uttarayan each November. The Janmashtami fair falls in August or September; for 2027, ask the RMC for dates and stall terms by May.

  • Probably, through the site's owner and with a permit, but we cannot point you to a rulebook. We found no published RMC hoarding rules. The RMC works through three zones, Central, West and East, and 18 wards. So we ask the zone office and the owner before you pay. This is general information, not legal advice.

  • Wikipedia lists castings, forgings, bearings and diesel engines among Rajkot's products, so a buyer comparing suppliers may see several Rajkot names side by side. One page per product, with drawings, material and an enquiry button, helps yours stand out. English suits buyers in other states, and Gujarati suits local dealers.
