Visakhapatnam, where ships, steel and sea-front meet
A plant purchase manager and a beach-stay guest never read the same ad. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, papers and radio for port suppliers, plant vendors, hotels and tour operators. Each month you see which rupee brought an enquiry.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A port, a naval base and the Bhogapuram airport. One city, many kinds of buyer.
Visakhapatnam (Vizag) has company buyers on one side and visitors on the other, and each needs its own ads and its own website. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, social media, papers and radio for port suppliers, plant vendors, hotels and tour operators.
Each month it shows you which spend brought enquiries.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We speak every day and meet you in the city at least once every three months.
Our digital marketing and advertising pages explain how we work: last quarter's numbers first, then one small test, then more money behind what worked. Below we start from the port, the airports and the beaches.
- 2015working with Indian brands since
- 65+in-house team: strategy, creative, media and tech
- 4pillars under one roof: strategy, advertising, digital, on-ground activation (BTL)
- 6cities: head office in Kolkata, teams in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar
Visakhapatnam:what we do.
Cargo and steel on one side, visitors and beaches on the other.
Three local facts shape a sensible first budget. The first is below, and two more are in the fold.
1. Cargo, steel and ships bring company buyers. Visakhapatnam Port handled 82.62 million tonnes of cargo in FY 2024-25 (financial year, April to March). Its home page shows a record single shipment of 1,02,010 tonnes of iron ore pellets in February 2026. The modern harbour was built between 1927 and 1933 by the Bengal Nagpur Railway, to ship manganese ore from central India. The district counted 1,132 registered factories in 2019-20, with about 1,33,625 people working in them. That count is old, so we ask for the current one when we size a plan. Most of these buyers are companies, so start with our logistics and industrial manufacturing pages.
The district, the port and its factories, the two airports, and the state, with sources.
The Visakhapatnam market in depth
The district's own website puts its people at 19.6 lakh in Census 2011, in a district of 11 mandals (sub-district blocks) and one municipal corporation. It also says the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy is based in Visakhapatnam. Its economy page names big units such as the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Hindustan Shipyard, Hindustan Petroleum and Coromandal Fertilizers. Its tourism page says the city has the oldest shipyard in all of India. That is the district's claim, not ours. So your buyer may be a plant purchase manager, a port supplier or the owner of a beach guest house.
2. Visitors arrive by air, and the Bhogapuram airport opened in August 2026. The Visakhapatnam airport handled 29,67,744 passengers in 2025-26 (April to March), up 0.4% from 29,55,089. Of these, 1,03,236 flew international routes. A second one, Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, was inaugurated on 1 August 2026. It opened for commercial flights on 17 August 2026, with international flights from day one, to Abu Dhabi and Singapore. A trade report says it starts with room for 6 million passengers a year. It opened in August 2026, so we treat what it brings as a test. Hotels and tour firms can start with our travel and tourism page.
3. A growing state, with room online. PRS Legislative Research, which studies state budgets, says Andhra Pradesh grew 8% in 2024-25 after removing price rises, against 6.5% for India. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 73.50 internet subscribers per 100 people in the state in March 2026, against 76.59 for all India. These are state figures, not the city alone, but they show room for more people to come online. For shops, clinics and stays, plan Telugu first. For company buyers, plan English first and add Telugu where it helps.

How people hear about you here, and where to ask first.
Visakhapatnam has a port with a cruise terminal, and the Eastern Naval Command is based here. Company buyers look for suppliers by name, and visitors search for beaches and Araku trips before they travel. Give each stay or trip its own page, with a one-tap booking button.

| What | In Visakhapatnam | What it means for your plan |
|---|---|---|
| Private FM radio | The government's list of 30 March 2026 shows three private FM channels for the city, at 91.1, 93.5 and 98.3 MHz. | What can't be measured can't be achieved, so test one channel for a month, with its own phone number, and compare the calls with the airtime bill. |
| Akashvani | The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) card of 1 June 2017 lists the primary channel at 927 kHz. A 10-second spot is Rs 500 or Rs 300, by programme type. FM Rainbow, 102 MHz, has three rates, from Rs 440 down to Rs 220, by time of day. That is the station's 2017 price list, not a PromotEdge fee. | Treat 2017 as a rough guide and ask for the current card first. |
| Telugu and English dailies | The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) lists Eenadu and Andhra Jyoti in Telugu, and The Hindu in English, with Visakhapatnam editions. A paper that is not on the list can still be printed in the city. | Pick the paper by your buyer's language, then ask for the Visakhapatnam edition's rate. |
| Outdoor boards | The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), the city's civic body, lists a "Special Advertisement Registration" service on its website. | Ask GVMC for the steps in writing before any site is booked. The FAQ below has more. |
| Port and cruise terminal | The port's home page lists a cruise terminal as operational. It also lists a single point mooring for oil exports, which is an offshore buoy where ships load or unload oil. | Port suppliers need a quote page with a phone number. Shops near the terminal need a correct Google listing. |
| Naval base | The district's website says the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy is based in the city. | Ask your sales team which buyers tie back to the Navy, the port or a plant. That shows us where to spend first. |
| Beaches | AP Tourism says Rushikonda Beach is 8 km from the port, known for surfing and jet-skiing, with October to March as the season to visit. The district calls Yarada the most famous beach. AP Tourism lists a Visakhapatnam-Bhogapuram beach corridor as an upcoming project. On 4 October 2026 that was a plan, not a finished thing. | Give each stay, water sport or tour its own page with a one-tap booking button. The season starts in October, so go live before then. |
| Araku day trips | Araku Valley is about 910 m above sea level and sits in Alluri Sitarama Raju district. The Visakhapatnam tourism page also lists it, with the Borra Caves, which it calls the biggest in India. That is its own claim. | Sell Araku as a day trip from the city, and name the stops on the page. |
| Service: SEO | Company buyers look for a port or plant supplier by name. Visitors search for beaches and Araku trips before they travel, and some search in Telugu. | SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up on Google without paying for each click) starts with one page for each product, stay or trip. |
Every row is sourced as shown and was checked on 4 October 2026. The SEO row describes our plan and promises no results.
What decides the cost ofa digital marketing agency in Visakhapatnam.
There is no price list: we talk first. Then you get a written plan for Visakhapatnam with a price on every line. Media, permissions and printing are passed on at what they cost.
What affects the cost
- Who you sell to. Port and plant buyers, city families and beach visitors need different pages and media.
- How far you sell. The city, the wider district, or more of Andhra Pradesh.
How we quote
- A first call about your buyers, your area and what one enquiry cost you last quarter.
- We read your website and Google listing, and see how your Visakhapatnam rivals show up to the same buyers.
- A written quote within 2 working days of the first call, one cost per line. Nothing is booked until you agree.
What you get in the quote
- The Visakhapatnam work we propose, and what we leave out
- Which Telugu and English pages, ads or scripts are in the plan
- GVMC's steps for any board or stall site
- Paper, FM and Akashvani rates at the media owner's figure
How it is billed
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | Steady work, with a review every month; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Fixed project | A new website (usually 4 to 6 weeks), or one season's campaign; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Ask for the free plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number, so we'll tell you whether it's a fit.

Worked online. Met in Visakhapatnam every quarter.
We have worked with clients since 2015. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode.
Meeting you. After a first 30-minute video call with one of our strategists, we are in touch daily. We are in Visakhapatnam at least once every three months, wherever your work happens: a factory, a hotel or a shop. For some clients, a team member sits in the client's office or plant.
How we run each kind of work in Visakhapatnam, and what else can change your quote.
How we work in Visakhapatnam
Online work and media. Search, ads, websites and social pages run online, in ad accounts opened in your company's name. We book Telugu and English papers, FM and Akashvani, and you see each rate before you agree.
Boards, stalls and events. These are delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with partner agencies where a job needs them. For a board in this city, GVMC's written steps come first. Printing is handled through the same partner.
Languages. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. A Telugu radio script, paper ad or web page is therefore a normal request.
What else changes the cost. Language and timing: Telugu and English versions are separate lines. A beach stay gains from going live early in the October to March season.
Media and boards. Each paper, FM channel and Akashvani channel sets its own price. A permitted site, the printing and the mounting are billed separately.

No agency should rank itself first. We're professionals. We'd rather be blunt than pleasing. Ask every agency you meet, us too, to show work for a business like yours: a port supplier, a plant vendor or a beach stay. Then ask who owns the ad accounts and which report you will receive each month.

On 4 October 2026 we found no published hoarding rules, fees or permit steps for the city. The GVMC website lists a "Special Advertisement Registration" service, but its link only opened through a script. So ask GVMC in writing for the steps and fees for each site, and keep its reply. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

A page that only says "industrial supplier" tells a port or plant buyer nothing, so write one page for each product, with a quote form and a phone number. Show your machines, approvals and past jobs on each page. Then add LinkedIn lead generation to reach company buyers.

AP Tourism gives October to March as the time to visit Rushikonda Beach, so have your listing ready before October. Start with your Google listing, then add a page for each stay, water sport or Araku day trip, with a WhatsApp button. Read the enquiries after a month and move money to what worked.

No one can promise that. The Bhogapuram airport opened for commercial flights on 17 August 2026, with international flights from day one. The Visakhapatnam airport's international passengers were 1,03,236 of 29,67,744 in 2025-26, about 3.5%. Treat it as a test: add one page on reaching you from the airport, track enquiries for three months, then decide on more spend.
