Amazon, Flipkart and category marketplaces, run product by product. Sales that leave a profit, and a brand that still owns its customers.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A marketplace sale is only worth having if the order still leaves a profit after every fee. PromotEdge manages your listings, sponsored ads, ratings, stock plans and reports on Amazon and Flipkart, and on category marketplaces such as Myntra and Nykaa, for D2C (direct to consumer) brands.
The aim is for every product to sell at a profit while your own website keeps growing.
For a D2C brand, a marketplace is a rented shelf in the busiest mall in the country. Shoppers who never type your web address find you there. But the marketplace owns the shopper.
Our Amazon and Flipkart marketing for brands starts with margin per SKU (stock-keeping unit: one product in one pack size). That is what an order leaves after cost, fees, shipping, returns and ads. See our D2C marketing agency and ecommerce marketing pages for the rest. Naming a marketplace here means no tie-up.

“Another seller holds the Buy Box on our product, cheaper.”
Trace the stock and set one price policy with your sales team. Amazon says order defects and service quality decide who holds it.
“Ads bring sales, but finance says the channel loses money.”
Work out margin per SKU after fees, returns and ads, and set an ad ceiling for each. Pause ads when stock runs low.
“One bad batch dragged our rating down.”
Read reviews and return reasons weekly, and send the patterns to your product team. We never fake reviews.
“A former agency or employee holds our seller login.”
Move seller and ad accounts into your company's name, with the agency added as a user.
“Three marketplaces, three reports, rebuilt by hand monthly.”
Set up one report by SKU. AI tools and simple automation flag a rating drop, low stock or overspend.

Amazon lists referral, closing, weight handling and programme fees. We add cost, returns and ads to find margin per SKU, and go-to-market work sets the order.
One sheet holds the true facts for each SKU. Each listing comes from it, with product photography. Amazon's free Brand Registry, for a trademark owner, adds A+ content and a Brand Store.
Marketplaces must explain ranking in plain language. From 1 January 2027 the main parameters come in descending order. We read it, then change one thing at a time for two to four weeks.
Ads start on a few hero SKUs (your main sellers), each with a ceiling, set by our performance marketing team. From 1 January 2027, an announced price cut must show the prior price, the lowest in the 30 days before. General guidance, not legal advice.
We plan stock with your operations team, and pick Fulfilled by Amazon, self ship or Easy Ship per SKU. Reputation management handles replies. A monthly SKU sheet joins your tracking and cost sheet.
New e-commerce rules start on 1 January 2027. Here is what they change, how shoppers decide, and who does what.
The amended E-Commerce Rules start on 1 January 2027. The rules say sponsored listings must be clearly marked, and a price cut must show the prior price, the lowest in the 30 days before. In 2025, about 29% of grievances to the National Consumer Helpline were about e-commerce.

Our view: shoppers type what the product is into the marketplace search, compare the first few results, then check the rating, the main photo and the delivery date. They drop out when the pack size is unclear, the rating looks weak or the page says out of stock.
You can keep your seller accounts in your company's name, name one person to own the master catalogue sheet, and file your trademark through your own lawyer. Marketplace fees, ranking and who wins the Buy Box are not yours or ours to set. We work with them, not around them.
We start with margin per SKU, because fees differ by product. We fix the master catalogue next, because wrong facts bring returns. Ads come after, with a ceiling per SKU, because spend without margin leaks. We open one marketplace at a time, so each gets a fair test.

We don't publish a price list. Ten SKUs on one marketplace and two hundred on three are different jobs.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| One-marketplace pilot | A few hero SKUs first; we confirm the timeline in the quote |
| Monthly management | Listings, ads, stock and reports; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice |
| Catalogue clean-up | A one-time rebuild of listings; we confirm the timeline in the quote |
You pay marketplace fees and ad spend to each platform.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

It covers what decides your sales on a marketplace: listings, images, A+ content, sponsored ads, prices, stock, reviews and returns. It also covers the link with your own website, so the two don't undercut each other. You get a report by SKU every month.
We won't claim to be right for every brand. Ask any agency, us included: Will you report margin per SKU after fees, returns and ads? Will our accounts stay in our company's name? We meet clients in their city at least once every three months.
We don't publish a price list. The cost depends on the marketplaces and SKUs, the catalogue work and the sale events in your year. Marketplace fees and ad spend are separate, paid by you to the platforms. The written quote follows within 2 working days of the first call.
Better titles, images and correct facts can lift sales early. Sponsored ads can bring orders quickly, but finding the searches that pay takes testing. A stronger rating takes longer. We can't honestly promise a sales figure. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
It can, if nobody plans it. We use marketplaces for reach and first orders. Your site gets the full range, bundles and subscriptions, and repeat orders come through email and WhatsApp. Our guide on what D2C means sets out the trade-offs.
The E-Commerce Rules, 2020 stop a seller posing as a shopper to post reviews, and ask for the total price, return terms and country of origin. From 1 January 2027, sponsored listings must be clearly marked, and an announced price cut must show the prior price. The regulator CCPA bans false urgency about stock.
