Industries · Electricals & appliances
For makers of fans, lights, wires, switches, appliances and consumer electronics. We help you get picked by the electrician, at the counter and on the marketplace.
In electricals, the product decides who picks the brand: the electrician picks what hides in the wall, and the family picks what stays on show. PromotEdge plans digital marketing for electrical appliances, gadgets and accessories, and runs it together with the dealer and electrician work behind your sales.
The aim is that more buyers ask for your brand at the counter, and more of them order it online.
Some products vanish into the wall: wires, switches, MCBs (miniature circuit breakers) and pump sets. The electrician or dealer usually picks the brand. The family picks fans, lights, home and small appliances, after comparing stars, prices and reviews.
Consumer electronics sell on Amazon, Flipkart and the sites of chains like Croma and Reliance Digital. Most brands sell more than one kind, so we sort your range first. Electrical SEO (search engine optimisation) means pages for model and size searches, and answers AI assistants can quote. We have been at this since 2015, and we never copy a competitor's plan.
Wires for new buildings: see building materials. Factory switchgear and motors: industrial and manufacturing. Selling direct: D2C (direct to consumer) and ecommerce.

“We are thoroughly impressed with the extensive knowledge and professionalism demonstrated by PromotEdge. Their adept management of our digital and creative requirements has significantly contributed to our satisfaction with their digital marketing services and expertise.”
Rahul MishraAssistant Manager Digital Marketing & Ecommerce, Magik Lighting| Step | What we do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Strategy | Sort the range by who picks it, then give each line one reason to choose you. | Everyone claims safety. Buyers need a reason they can check. |
| 2. Electrician and counter | Training and dealer-shop meets, with rewards for verified purchases. These are trade influencers, not social media creators. | Inside the wall, the electrician's word settles the sale. |
| 3. Marketplaces and apps | Listings that show the star label and BIS details, plus demo videos. Small items also sell on 10-minute apps: see quick commerce. | Many buyers compare and buy without visiting a shop. |
| 4. Search and ads | SEO (search engine optimisation) for model and size searches, AI answers, then Google Shopping, Meta and YouTube ads judged on cost per order. | Buyers search a model or size, rarely a brand. |
| 5. Measurement | Sell-out by dealer and district, marketplace rating and cost per order. | It shows which spend moved stock. |
We don't publish a price list. We quote against a written scope, with media, ad spend and rewards each on its own line.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | Digital and marketplace work with a report; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Campaign or programme | A festive campaign or an electrician programme; timeline confirmed in the quote |
We can't do magic alone: the more involved you are, the faster you see results. Printing goes through the same partner.
Every client and project is different. The cost depends on the effort it takes, so we price after the first call.
We start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.

Real business problems, from sales to back office, each with a plain AI fix. A person stays in charge of every step.
Consumer durables and electronics draw many customer complaints, so service teams need a quick way to log each one and reply.
The AI fix A WhatsApp helper reads the invoice photo, checks warranty, logs the complaint and offers a technician slot. The service manager decides visits, replacements and refunds.
Electricians are the main influencer on which brand gets chosen, so brands must keep many of them engaged. Architects and designers need a different approach.
The AI fix A local-language WhatsApp flow checks QR scans, adds reward points and sends scheme updates to electricians. Field staff keep the relationship; a person checks odd claims.

The India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) puts India's major home appliances market at about Rs 1.86 lakh crore in 2025. It expects all consumer durables to reach Rs 3 lakh crore by FY29, growing about 11% a year. Firms count differently, so read these as rough sizes.

Our view: for wires, switches and pumps, the owner asks the electrician or dealer and takes the brand named. For fans, lights and appliances, the family asks relatives, then compares price, stars and reviews online. Buyers drop out when the warranty, the service centre or the price does not add up.
In their words: "Is it genuine? Is it safe? Who repairs it, and how fast?" Few say the rest aloud. They expect a star label that shows running cost, a warranty card they can read, and a price that holds beside the rival's. Electricians expect rewards paid on time.
Dealer and electrician-led: win the counter and the electrician. Building materials share this problem.
Modern trade: chains like Croma and Reliance Digital pick your shelf, so bring sell-out proof.
Marketplace: the listing and reviews do the selling. Quick commerce suits chargers and small appliances only.
D2C (direct to consumer): you own the customer but pay for every click. See our business models guide.
IBEF says growth is driven by premium, smart and energy-saving products. AI today answers enquiries, books repairs and sends warranty reminders. AI next may name brands in its replies, so clear model pages matter. AI cannot win an electrician's trust. See our AI systems.

Your product quality, price, dealer margins and service centres are yours. BIS licences, BEE registration and test reports come from your compliance team or a lab, and a lawyer reads the rules. Chain and distributor deals stay with your sales team. We take the programmes, listings, search and reports.
First a brand strategy that sorts your range by who picks it, so each line has one reason to choose it. Then electrician and counter work, because inside the wall the electrician settles the sale. Then Amazon and Flipkart listings that show stars and BIS details. Search runs beside, and sell-out reports show what moved stock. Saurav Agarwal, our Founder and CEO, takes the strategy call, the business review and the budget and return-on-investment logic. Shivanand Mishra, our Digital Marketing Lead, runs the SEO audits, the B2B (business-to-business) lead generation and the reporting.

Marks and stars in ads are legal claims.
BIS orders. Quality Control Orders make standards compulsory for switches, PVC cables, plugs, ceiling fans, mixers, water heaters, air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines. A 2024 order adds more.
Registration. LED lamps and luminaires, power banks and smart watches fall under BIS's Compulsory Registration Scheme.
BIS Act, 2016, section 17. No ad may say a product meets an Indian Standard without a valid BIS licence or certificate. Show the ISI mark only on covered models.
Star labels. BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) rules apply from 1 January 2026. Labels are mandatory for refrigerators, air conditioners, ceiling fans, water heaters, washing machines, televisions and LED lamps.
Labels online. The label must be easily visible online and in stores. BEE can direct a marketplace to de-register a model that breaks this online.
Listings. Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 make online stores show mandatory pack declarations. E-Commerce Rules, 2020 need total price, country of origin and any warranty, and bar fake reviews.
Misleading ads, 2022. The Central Consumer Protection Authority bars a 'free' gift when the buyer pays for packing or the price went up. Bait ads need enough stock. Claims must be provable.
General guidance, not legal advice.
One number. BEE's 2025 dashboard lists 3,662 registered brands across 38 appliances, so stars alone rarely win. Source: BEE Standards and Labelling dashboard (2025), read on 4 October 2026.

The AI fix Weekly dealer stock and sales come in by WhatsApp. A forecast using past seasons and weather suggests production and dispatch plans. The planning head decides.
Copper, aluminium and PVC prices have risen sharply, so cable and wire makers must pass on higher costs and old price lists go stale.
The AI fix A tool updates cost sheets from daily metal rates, drafts a new price list and flags open quotes with old prices. Finance and sales heads approve every change.

Well-known Indian brands, each with one plain lesson for an owner in your line of work. Names only, as public examples.
Start with the product your trade knows you for, such as wires. Add nearby lines like switches or fans only once that base is solid.
What they did Polycab's history page says the family formed a firm in 1975 to make cables and wires. It entered switches in 2013, then fans and LED lighting in 2014.
Start with one small product you can make well. Add related products as customers come to trust you.
What they did V-Guard's own founder profile says it began as a small stabilizer unit with borrowed money and two workers. Its range now includes water heaters, cables, pumps and fans.
Do excellent work for your first customer. Use that record to win more customers and add products later.
What they did EY's 2021 profile says Sunil Vachani set up Dixon in Noida in 1993 with one customer, Goldstar, now LG Electronics. Dixon now makes home appliances, lighting, smartphones and LED bulbs.
When you change your look, show it again and again in the places your buyers pass every day, so people begin to recognise it.

Know who really decides the sale, such as the electrician, and also build your name with the end buyer so they ask for you.

Everything a buyer sees online before buying: Amazon and Flipkart listings, search, product videos, social media, reviews and ads. We tie it to dealer locators and the counter, because many electrical sales still close there. Our digital marketing page lists each service.
Yes, when it follows how buyers search. People look up model numbers, sizes or a problem such as a quiet ceiling fan, more than brand names. We build pages for those searches, list dealers with addresses and check how AI assistants describe you.
Electricians recommend brands to homeowners and builders. This programme gives them training, meets, certificates and rewards when a purchase they caused is verified. It is not about social media influencers. Our dealer and electrician programmes show how we stop fake claims.
For star-labelled products, BEE's 2026 regulations want the label online and in stores, so your listings too. The BIS Act, 2016 bars ads from claiming a product meets an Indian Standard without a valid BIS licence or certificate. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
No agency fits every brand. Ask each one, including us: can they run electrician and dealer work as well as online ads? Will they check every BIS and star claim? Will they measure sell-out and orders? Will the people in the first meeting do your work?
It depends on your range and channels, and on how many regions and languages you need. A big electrician programme adds to it. We don't publish a price list. After a 30-minute conversation we send a written scope and quote within 2 working days.
Listing fixes can lift marketplace sales within weeks. Search work usually takes three to six months. Judge an electrician programme after at least two quarters, against similar districts. Festive planning starts in mid-year. For other work, we confirm the timeline in the quote.
