/ 01 Conversion rate optimisation services

Fix the leakbefore you buy more traffic.

Before you buy more traffic, look at what visitors do after the click. PromotEdge runs conversion rate optimisation (CRO) services for companies, so your paid traffic brings more leads and sales.

We find where visitors drop off on your pages, forms and checkout, then fix or test the pages behind it.

Conversion rate is how many visitors out of 100 enquire, book or buy. Lift a landing page from 2 to 3, and the same ad budget brings 50% more leads, each costing a third less. That is often cheaper than finding new traffic.

We run CRO alone or inside performance marketing, tracking lead quality and revenue from day one. We start with your numbers, not ideas we like. Good UX (user experience) design helps, but every idea must prove itself in leads.

/ 02 What's included

The leverswe work on.

For corporate groups, listed companies and startups selling B2B, B2C or D2C, CRO pays off fastest with steady traffic and a clear action: real estate enquiries, diagnostic centre bookings, D2C stores and industrial quote requests. With only a few hundred visits a month, fix the obvious and build traffic through SEO or paid media first.

01

Conversion audit

A page-by-page review of your key journeys, with every problem ranked by likely impact and effort.

02

Tracking set-up

GA4 (Google Analytics 4) and Tag Manager events for forms, calls, WhatsApp clicks and purchases, checked against what reaches your CRM (the software that holds your leads).

03

Landing pages

Message match with the ad, a clear offer, proof near the button and a layout that works with one thumb.

04

Forms

Fewer, smarter fields, a phone number before an email, a WhatsApp option, and a thank-you step that says what happens next.

05

Checkout

UPI and cash on delivery, pin-code steps, delivery charges shown early, fewer steps to pay. No false urgency, late charges or slipped-in add-ons, which the CCPA's 2023 dark-pattern guidelines list.

06

Speed

Images, scripts, fonts and third-party tags that slow pages down, fixed against Google's Core Web Vitals. Slow pages are fixed, then measured.

07

A/B testing

For busy pages with a clear goal: a sample size set first, full weeks, the whole funnel judged. Broken things are fixed, not tested. Big changes are tested against the current version.

08

Offline conversion feedback

Qualified leads and sales sent back to Google Ads and Meta, so the ad platforms chase buyers instead of form fills.

/ 03 Sound familiar?

Where visitorsslip away.

“We spend lakhs on ads, and the landing page barely converts.”

Then the page, not the ad, is the first fix. We check message match, the offer, the form and the load time on an ordinary phone.

“Our form gets plenty of entries, but sales says they're junk.”

We add the right qualifying questions, track which leads become customers and judge every change on cost per qualified lead.

“Shoppers add to cart and drop off at checkout.”

We look at each step: delivery charges shown late, forced sign-up, missing UPI or cash on delivery, pin-code checks and slow payment pages.

“Our designer and our sales head disagree about the homepage.”

Opinions are cheap to test. On pages with enough traffic, an A/B test settles it with real visitor behaviour.

“We redesigned the site and enquiries went down.”

We compare the old and new journeys step by step, find what was lost (often a form, a phone number or proof) and bring it back.

“We tried a testing tool once, and every result was 'inconclusive'.”

Usually the tests were too small or stopped too early. We work out the sample size first and only test changes big enough to matter.

“Most of our visitors are on phones, and they leave before the page loads.”

Then speed is the first test. We cut heavy images, fonts and tags, and check the page on a mid-range Android phone over mobile data.

/ 04 How we work

From trackingto rolled-out winners.

Quick fixes, like a broken form or a slow page, can show results within days. A/B tests on busy pages need a few weeks each. On quiet pages we fix from research instead of waiting months for a test.

  1. 01

    Set up measurement

Tracking that counts real outcomes: forms, calls and WhatsApp chats and, where possible, which became qualified leads or sales.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Funnel reports in GA4, heatmaps, session recordings and short surveys show where people drop off. Talking to sales shows why leads don't close.

  3. 03

    Prioritise

Every idea is scored on likely impact, confidence and effort, so the first changes go where the money is.

  4. 04

    Test or fix

Busy pages get A/B tests run to a reliable result. Quiet pages get research-led fixes, measured before and after.

  5. 05

    Roll out

Winners are built permanently into the site. Wins and losses go into one test log, so nobody tests them again.

  6. 06

    Report

A monthly report on conversion rate, cost per qualified lead or revenue per visitor, and what we will test next.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C store looks at product pages, cart and checkout. A dealer-led maker looks at the quote form and what happens after it. A services firm looks at the call and booking buttons. The method is the same; the first page we open is different.

  1. Count real outcomes first. A test is only as honest as the number it is judged on, and form fills can mislead. Qualified leads or sales in your reports.
  2. Watch real visitors. Recordings and heatmaps show where people stall, so we test causes, not guesses. A short list of the steps where visitors leave.
  3. Repair plain faults before testing. A broken form or slow page needs a fix, not a test, and fixes pay sooner. Quick wins, often within days.
  4. Test big changes against the current page. Small tweaks on a quiet page rarely give a result you can trust. A test plan with sample size and run time.
  5. Log every result, losers too. A loser shows what buyers dislike, and the log stops the same idea being tested twice. One test log that you own.

Go deeper: the rules of honest design

Dark patterns are now a rule in India

India's Central Consumer Protection Authority notified its dark-pattern guidelines on 30 November 2023. They apply to platforms, advertisers and sellers, and name tricks such as false urgency, basket sneaking and drip pricing. We keep checkout clear of them, because a trick can lift one month's sales and cost you trust.

Who sets the rules

ASCI, the advertising self-regulator, lists on its site an influencer-led awareness campaign on greenwashing and dark patterns, dated 26 February 2026. Advertising and page design are watched together now.

AI in CRO: today and next

Today: summaries of what visitors did

Microsoft's Clarity tool has Copilot features. They write plain-language summaries of session recordings and heatmaps and answer questions about your data. Microsoft warns that generative AI can misread or invent, so we check each summary against the recording itself.

Next

Our view: AI will draft test ideas and page variants faster. Judging them stays with a person and your own numbers, because a quick idea still needs enough visitors to prove itself. Want us to read your pages? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of CRO.

We don't publish a price list. Most engagements start with a one-off conversion audit, quoted on its own. Testing and fixes then run monthly, or sit inside a performance marketing engagement. We send the quote within 2 working days.

What affects the cost

  • Traffic volume, which sets how many tests can run
  • Number of pages and journeys in scope
  • Whether we build the test versions, or your team does
  • Tracking and CRM work needed before testing starts

How we quote

  1. We ask what a good lead or order is worth to you, and where visitors drop off today
  2. We check your traffic, your tracking and your top pages and journeys
  3. We write a scope: pages in the audit, tests we can run and who builds each version
  4. You get a quote that prices the audit first and the monthly testing separately

What you get in the quote

  • The conversion audit and the ranked list of fixes
  • Tracking and CRM checks, and any set-up before testing
  • The pages and journeys covered, and the number of tests planned
  • Test versions, if we build them, and the monthly report

Testing-tool subscriptions, where needed, are billed by the tool provider.

Straight answers.

  • It raises the share of your visitors who enquire, book or buy: tracking first, then fixes for plain faults, tests of bigger changes and rollout of winners. If a page is beyond repair, our web team rebuilds it. To choose one, ask how it measures success and to see a test log, losers included.

  • It depends on the category, offer, traffic source and price. A B2B demo request and a ₹499 impulse buy are not comparable. We benchmark against your own history and traffic sources, and set a realistic target for each key page.

  • Long enough to reach a reliable result and cover full weeks, usually a few weeks on a page with healthy traffic. On quiet pages we don't A/B test; we use analytics, recordings and short surveys to fix the biggest problems, then compare before and after. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • If your pages convert poorly, more traffic just means paying more for the same leak. If they convert well and volume is the limit, more traffic wins. Most growing businesses need both, and we will tell you which to do first.

  • You get monthly conversion rate by page and source, and cost per qualified lead: what each serious enquiry cost you. For stores, revenue per visitor. Every test is logged with its result, including losers, so you see what changed and why.

  • Typically GA4 and Google Tag Manager for measurement and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings. Google Optimize shut down in September 2023, so A/B tests now need a separate testing tool, chosen to suit your platform and traffic. We list every tool in the plan, and the accounts stay yours.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India and talks to you daily. We meet you at least every three months and place a team member at your office when needed. CRO runs online, checked on your buyers' phones and networks.

  • It depends on your traffic, the pages and tests in scope, and whether we build the test versions. Engagements start with an audit of your funnel and tracking; testing then runs monthly. We don't publish a price list; we quote after a first conversation, against a written scope.
