/ 01 Digital marketing agency in Mangalore

Colleges, temples, beaches and a bank born here.Plan for each kind of buyer.

About three in ten passengers at Mangaluru airport fly abroad, so a Mangalore firm's website may be read first by someone far from the city. PromotEdge plans search, websites, social media, papers and radio for colleges, shops, stays and trade firms in Mangalore (Mangaluru).

Every month we report which rupees brought enquiries.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so most of the work runs online in hybrid mode. We talk every day and visit at least once every three months, in the city or along the coast.

Before any plan we ask where your last ten enquiries came from: a family in town, a visitor from Bengaluru or a buyer abroad? Think creative. Act on numbers. Then we test one idea small and scale only what pays, as our digital marketing and advertising pages show.

/ 03 The Mangalore market

A trading past, a student present, and a calendar full of festivals.

Three facts about this coast should shape your first budget. Two are here; one more is in the fold below.

1. An airport where about three in ten passengers fly abroad. Mangaluru airport handled 25,48,088 passengers in 2025-26 (April to March), up 8.8%. Of these, 7,71,426 were on international flights, up 25.4%. Give buyers abroad clear English, a phone number with +91 and a WhatsApp button.

2. A rule for boards and a calendar of festivals. The state wants Kannada on 60 per cent of a business signboard. The district lists Yakshagana (a costumed dance drama) among its traditions. It also lists Kambala (buffalo racing by farmers) and Bootha Kola (spirit worship).

Where Mangaluru sits, and one more public fact: old trade, a bank born here and many classrooms.

The Mangalore market in depth

Mangaluru is the district headquarters of Dakshina Kannada. Its official website calls the district the southern coastal district of Karnataka. The Arabian Sea is on the west. The Western Ghats, a hill range, are on the east. Udupi district is on the north and Kerala on the south. The district had 20,89,649 people in the 2011 Census. One plan must reach a student at the National Institute of Technology near Surathkal. It must also reach a shopkeeper in town and a family on a temple day trip. The district site puts Mangaluru 347 km from Bengaluru. So a buyer from there will check you online before that trip.

3. Old trade, a bank born here and many classrooms. The district website says the Alupa rulers made Mangaluru their capital from the early Christian era to the 14th century. In 1763 Haider Ali took the town and made it Mysore's chief port. Canara Bank says it was founded at Mangalore in July 1906 by Shri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai. The district site calls Mangaluru an education hub. Colleges and coaching centres here compete for the same students, so each needs a page that answers a parent's questions first. See our education and banking and finance pages.

Our beliefWe know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business.

Media, rules and placesthat shape a Mangalore plan.

Mangalore has three private FM channels, and its dailies are in Kannada and English. A 2024 Karnataka law puts Kannada on 60 per cent of a business signboard. Draw every shop board Kannada first, and check the current rule before each print.

WhatIn MangaloreWhat it means for your plan
Private FM radioThe government's list of 30 March 2026 names 3 private FM channels for Mangaluru: 92.7, 93.5 and 98.3 MHz.With only 3 channels, one test is easy to read: pick one, give it its own phone number and run it for four weeks.
AkashvaniThe Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) rate card is in force from 1 June 2017. It gives the Udipi/Mangalore primary channel (1089 kHz) Rs 330 and Rs 220 per 10 seconds. That is the station's 2017 price, not ours.Ask for the present card before you budget.
Kannada and English dailiesThe Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) checks paper sales. It lists these papers with Mangalore editions. In Kannada: Prajavani, Vijay Karnataka, Vijayavani and Kannada Prabha. In English: Deccan Herald, The Hindu and The Times of India. A paper absent from the list may still be sold here.Kannada suits families and shops; English suits applicants from other states and company buyers.
Kannada on signboardsIn February 2024 the Karnataka Assembly passed a law on signboards. It puts Kannada on 60 per cent of a business signboard, in the upper half. It names commercial units, hotels, hospitals and laboratories among others.Draw every shop board, clinic sign and hoarding Kannada-first, and we check the layout before print. Change is the only constant. A rule like this can change again, so check the current rule before each print.
InternetTRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 101.72 internet subscribers for every 100 people in Karnataka in March 2026. The figure for India is 76.59. It is a state number, not a city one. Some people hold two connections, so the number can pass 100. Build every page for a phone first.
BeachesPanambur Beach, 12 km north, offers jet skiing, boating and dolphin viewing. Tannirbavi, 12 km away, is known for sunsets. Ullal's Summer Sands, 10 km south, has 14 acres of casuarina trees.A boat, jet-ski or dolphin-trip operator at Panambur needs a page and a one-thumb booking button for each trip. See our travel and tourism page.
Temples, a chapel and day tripsMangala Devi, Kadri Manjunatha and Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara temples are each 2 km from the centre. St Aloysius Chapel, 1 km from the centre, was built in 1899-1900. Pilikula Nisargadhama, 13 km away, covers 370 acres with a biological park and a lake.Hotels and tour operators can write "how to reach" pages with these distances, and ads near temples should stay respectful.
Kambala, Dasara and UrusKambala races generally run from November to March. Mangaluru Dasara falls in the Navaratri window, October in most years. The Urus at Ullal Dargah is held once in every 5 years, says the district site.Plan offers about two months ahead, and confirm each year's date before you book.
Service: SEOColleges, coaching centres and clinics compete on Google for the same students and patients. Visitors from other cities search for stays near Panambur and Ullal.SEO (search engine optimisation) means earning a place on Google's results without paying per click. Here it begins with a page for every course, clinic or stay.
Service: Website design and developmentAdmission pages for colleges, booking pages for stays and quote pages for trade firms, in Kannada and English, as the state pushes Kannada on boards.Fast pages on a phone, with call and WhatsApp buttons that we tap-test every month.

Each row gives its source, checked on 4 October 2026. The Akashvani figures are from 2017. The last two rows describe our plan and promise no result.

/ 05 Cost

What decides the costof a Mangalore plan.

There is no price list on this site. After a first talk, we write down what we would do for Mangalore and price each part on its own line. Kannada and English papers, the city's 3 FM channels, Akashvani, permissions and printing cost what the owner or the authority charges.

What affects the cost

  • Who buys from you. Students and parents, patients, beach visitors and buyers abroad need different pages.
  • Where you sell. The city, the district's 9 taluks, or the wider coast.
  • Language and boards. Kannada-first boards follow the state rule. Each extra language, permitted site, printing and mounting is its own line.

How we quote

  1. A first call about your buyers, their taluks, and what one enquiry cost you last quarter.
  2. A written quote within 2 working days of that first call, with one cost to a line. Nothing is booked until you approve.

What you get in the quote

  • What we will do in Mangalore, and what we will not
  • Kannada-first layouts for every board
  • Media rates exactly as the owner quotes them

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerSteady work with a monthly review. Minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
Fixed projectA new website, or one Dasara-season push. A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and we confirm other timelines in the quote

Share your last ten enquiries. We will read them with you and say plainly what is worth testing first on this coast. Get a growth plan

/ 06 How we serve Mangalore

Worked online. Met in Mangalore every quarter.

We have worked with clients since 2015. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.

Visits. First a video call, then daily contact. At least once every three months we come to Mangalore. We visit your campus, clinic, hotel or shop, from Surathkal to Ullal. For some clients, a team member sits at their office or plant.

Online work and papers, boards and stalls, and languages including Tulu and Konkani.

How we work in Mangalore

Online work and papers. The servicing team runs your search, ads, website and social pages online, and the ad accounts stay in your company's name. We book Kannada and English papers, FM and Akashvani time, and share each rate before you approve.

Boards, stalls and events. These are delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. Partner agencies help where a job needs them. In Karnataka we draw every board Kannada-first and ask for written permission before a site is booked. Printing is handled through the same partner.

Languages. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. If your buyers need Tulu or Konkani, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on. For guests and buyers from abroad, the partners can also write French, Japanese and more.

Selling in Mangalore?

Tell us who your buyers are and which taluk they live in.We will name the first test.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ people runs your account. We speak to you every day, mostly online in hybrid mode. We meet you in Mangalore at least once every three months, and for some clients a team member sits at their office or plant.

  • No agency can fairly judge itself, so we will not claim the title. Ask each agency to show work for a business like yours: a college, a clinic or a beach stay. Check who owns the ad accounts, who picks up the phone during the week, and whether they know the Kannada signboard rule. Ask us the same questions.

  • As of 4 October 2026 we found no published Mangaluru City Corporation hoarding rule. Get written permission from the corporation for every site. The state's Kannada rule does apply: Kannada must take 60 per cent of a business signboard, in the upper half. Use the rest for English or another language. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • Choose by buyer: Kannada for local families and shops, English for students from other states and for buyers abroad. If your buyers need Tulu or Konkani, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on. A 30-minute strategist call can settle the language mix.

  • Kambala races generally run from November to March. Mangaluru Dasara falls in the Navaratri window, which is October in most years. Dasara follows the lunar calendar, so its dates shift each year. Start about two months before, and keep the tone respectful, as it is a temple festival.

  • The district site calls Mangaluru an education hub. So you compete with many institutions for the same students. Make one page for each course, with eligibility, last date, fees and an enquiry form. Add your Google listing with photos, and a WhatsApp button for parents. See our coaching institutes page.
