Goa,one state, two kinds of buyer

Since 201565+ in-house team6 cities

Goa's year runs on festivals, and its buyers use Konkani, Marathi and English, so a plan built for one season or one language misses people. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, English and Marathi papers, radio and festival work for hotels, homestays, traders and makers. Each month you see what your money brought back.

A strategist calls you in one working day.

/ 01 Digital marketing agency in Goa

Goa is not only beaches.Who is your buyer?

A Goa hotel hunts for guests, while an ore trader or a factory supplier hunts for buyers, and the two search in different ways. As a digital marketing agency for Goa, PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, social media, papers, radio and festival work for the state's hotels, homestays, traders and makers.

Each month we show you which channel brought the enquiries.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We speak every day, and we put IFFI week and Carnaval visits in the diary early.

The guest is easy to picture. The Department of Tourism lists registered hotels and travel agents, dated 2 July 2025, and publishes homestay and caravan tourism policies. Every name wants the same traveller. The other buyer is quieter: an ore trader or a factory supplier, who searches for a grade or a part, not a beach.

/ 02 Services in Goa

Five jobs we would start with, each tied to a Goa fact.

01

Advertising

Panaji has two private FM stations, Akashvani and two ABC-listed papers. We found no published hoarding rule, so we ask the local body before booking a site.

02

Branding

A hotel or homestay sells a place as much as a room. Wikipedia says UNESCO listed the churches of Old Goa in 1986, and Konkani gives the state its own voice.

03

Events and exhibitions

IFFI 2026 runs for nine days in November, with Panaji as its venue city. Beach promotions should start with the state's shack and water-sports policies.

04

SEO

SEO (search engine optimisation) means being found on Google without paying per click. Registered hotels, homestays and travel agents chase the same guest searches.

05

Social media marketing

Carnaval, Shigmo and Tripurari Poornima give a year of content. The state groups its sights into 12 types, from beaches to waterfalls.

What we believe

We'd rather show you results than a nice presentation.

/ 03 The Goa market

A busy economy, three languages and a festival year.

Each of these three facts changes what we would test first.

1. A fast-growing state with high output per person. PRS estimates that Goa's output grew 12% in 2024-25, after taking out price rises. It puts output per person (an average, not what every family earns) at ₹7,09,045, up 14%. Mining is part of the story too. The state's Directorate of Mines and Geology says iron ore exports grew from 4,36,400 tonnes in 1951 to 35 million tonnes in 2008-09. Our pages on hospitality, travel firms and industrial makers show how those buyers decide.

More on the languages, the festival year and how the state's economy is built, with sources.

The Goa market in depth

PRS Legislative Research is an independent group that studies state budgets. It estimates that services, which include tourism, made up 48% of Goa's economy in 2024-25 and manufacturing 46%. Agriculture made up 6%. So a hotel owner and a factory buyer both matter here, and they find suppliers in different ways.

2. Konkani, Marathi and English, with phones everywhere. Konkani is Goa's official language, and a 1987 law lets Marathi be used for official work. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 150.44 internet subscribers per 100 people in Goa in March 2026, against 76.59 for India. That is a state figure, and one person can hold several connections. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) lists The Navhind Times in English and Gomantak in Marathi, both with a Panaji edition. It lists no Konkani daily, which does not mean none exists. Ask each Konkani paper for its own figures.

3. A festival year, with IFFI in November. The 57th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) runs from 20 to 28 November 2026, with Panaji as the venue city. The IFFI site lists 15 October as the 2026 press-pass deadline. The state's tourism calendar marks these as tentative. It lists Deepotsav in October, Tripurari Poornima in November, Carnaval in February 2027 and Shigmo in March 2027. Sao Joao on 24 June and Chikhal Kalo in July came earlier in the 2026 calendar.

All of Goa, not only Panaji. The state covers 3,702 sq km, and its two airports serve different audiences: Dabolim, and Mopa in Pernem taluka in the north. Each area gets its own media check.

/ 04 Goa at a glance

What Goa offers:media, rules and venues.

Goa has two private FM stations in Panaji and two airports, and Dabolim's traffic fell while Mopa's rose. Find out where your visitors arrive before you plan where to advertise. Then run both stations for a month and ask callers which one they heard.

See the numbers and sources
WhatIn GoaWhat it means for your plan
Private FM radioTwo stations in Panaji on the government's list of 30 March 2026: 91.9 and 92.7 MHz.Only two, so run both for a month and ask callers which one they heard.
Akashvani (All India Radio)Primary Channel on 1287 kHz, FM Rainbow on 105.4 MHz, Vividh Bharati on 828 kHz. The government's June 2017 card lists FM Rainbow Panaji at ₹440 gross for a 10-second spot in category I. That is the station's rate, not ours.A published rate to measure any quote against.
DailiesThe Navhind Times (English) and Gomantak (Marathi) are ABC members with a Panaji edition. No Konkani daily is on ABC's list.English for visitors and firms, Marathi for families. Konkani papers need their own proof.
Two airportsDabolim had 61,26,944 passengers in 2025-26, down 15.4%. Mopa had 53,76,516, up 15.8%, says the Airports Authority of India. Wikipedia says Mopa opened for domestic flights on 5 January 2023.Dabolim's traffic fell while Mopa's rose, so plan where visitors arrive before you plan where to advertise.
IFFI venuesThe list headed 2024 names the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, INOX Panjim, Maquinez Palace, Magic Movies Ponda and Kala Academy. It also names open-air screenings at Miramar, Anjuna and Vagator beaches.Sites run from Panaji to Ponda. Check the 2026 list before you plan a stall or a sign.
Beach shacks and water sportsThe Department of Tourism publishes a Goa State Shack Policy 2023-2026 and a policy to regulate water sports.Read both before a branded beach stall, and check whether a newer shack policy has replaced the 2023 one.
Panaji hoardingsThe Corporation of the City of Panaji runs a Trade and Occupation Licence service. We found no hoarding or advertisement page on its home page.We have no rule to quote, so we ask the corporation before booking a site. This is not legal advice.

Checked 4 October 2026. Rows citing Wikipedia are leads to confirm. The IFFI venue list is headed 2024, so the 2026 venues may differ.

/ 05 Cost

What moves the costof marketing in Goa.

There is no price list on this site. After a talk, we write down the Goa work and quote against it. Media, beach and venue permits, and travel, are billed at cost, and each line waits for your yes.

How we quote

  1. A video call on your guests or buyers, your margins and last season's enquiries.
  2. We check your website, your Google listing and what your rivals in Goa run.
  3. A written quote follows within 2 working days of that first call, with each cost on its own line. Nothing is booked until you sign off.

What you get in the quote

  • The Goa work we will do, and what we leave out
  • Permit and venue steps for any beach or festival job
  • A monthly report with enquiries by source

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerOngoing work, reviewed with you each month. Minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
Fixed projectA website, a launch or one festival push. A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and we confirm other timelines in the quote

Ask for a free growth plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number and tell you honestly if yours is a fit.

/ 06 How we serve Goa

Worked online, with visits timed to your season.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and we have worked with clients since 2015.

Meeting you. The first talk is a video call. After that we meet you in Goa at least once every three months, and for some clients a team member works from their office or plant.

How we plan and test, the media we book, stalls and signs, languages, and what changes the cost.

How we work in Goa

Online work and media. SEO, ads, website and social media run online, with the ad accounts in your name. We book the Panaji papers, the two FM stations and Akashvani.

Stalls, stages and signs. A festival-week stall or a beach promotion is planned with you and delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. We read the shack and water-sports policies with you first. Printing is handled through the same partner.

Languages. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more. Konkani is not on our confirmed list. If your buyers need it, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on. For guests from abroad, the partners also write French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese and Korean.

We start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like. That means last quarter's enquiries first. Then we test small, say a month on Google search against a month in The Navhind Times, and scale what works. One team handles digital marketing, advertising and BTL (below the line: stalls, events and shop fronts, where buyers meet you in person). So your Gomantak ad and your Google listing make the same offer.

What changes the cost:

Who buys. Guests from outside Goa need a different plan from local traders and factory buyers.

Season. Papers, radio and event space near IFFI or Carnaval can fill early.

Beach and event work. Shack and water-sports rules, venue hire and permits are added at cost.

Language. English and Marathi versions are listed apart, and Konkani is checked with a partner first.

We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

Selling in Goa?

Bring last season's numbers. We'll tell you what they say.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ backs your account. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We talk every day and are in Goa at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

  • We can't name one honestly, and a ranking tells you little. Ask every marketing agency in Goa, us included, three things. Who writes your Marathi copy? Who checks beach and venue rules? Do the ad accounts sit in your name?

  • It depends on who buys. Guests from other states and countries mostly need English. Goan families may read Marathi or Konkani, and the state portal names all three as principal languages. Our language partners write Marathi and English. Konkani is not on our confirmed list, so tell us early.

  • IFFI runs from 20 to 28 November 2026. Search and social ads can start closer to the dates, but papers and radio near a festival may fill early. Carnaval (February 2027) and Shigmo (March 2027) are tentative months on the state calendar, so confirm the dates. For each later year, start planning by July.

  • Possibly, within the rules. The Department of Tourism publishes a Goa State Shack Policy 2023-2026 and a water-sports policy, and both should be read first. We found no published hoarding rules for Panaji, so we ask the local body. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • Manufacturing was 46% of Goa's economy in 2024-25, by PRS's estimate. The state's mining directorate runs online e-auctions of ore dug out between 2007 and 2012. Several people sign off such a sale, and it can take months. They search for a product term and judge your website, not a beach picture. A LinkedIn plan for B2B (business-to-business) leads helps.
