Search, ads, websites, Tamil papers, radio and trade-fair work for pump makers, mills, jewellers and shops. You see which rupee brought which enquiry.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A pump maker and a jeweller in the same city sell in very different ways, so one marketing plan rarely fits both. PromotEdge helps the city's makers, exporters, jewellers and shops win more enquiries, through search, ads, websites, Tamil papers, radio and trade fairs.
Each month we show you which enquiries became orders.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ runs your work, mostly online in hybrid mode. We meet you in Coimbatore at least once every three months, and when a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
Coimbatore has two buyer types. A pump or textile machine maker sells to dealers and mills across India and abroad, and they compare spec sheets online before they call. A jeweller or a builder sells to Kovai families. They decide in Tamil, often just before Deepavali or Pongal.
We start with your last three months of enquiries, not a menu of services, and never copy a rival's plan.
One team handles digital marketing, advertising, strategy and BTL (below the line: meeting buyers face to face, at fairs, dealer meets and malls). Your INTEC stall, Dinamalar ad and Google listing carry one offer.
A buyer in another state searches for a size and a rating, not for your name.
02A buyer in another state leaves if your range is buried in PDFs.
03A feed that skips Deepavali, Pongal and weekend trips reads like another city's.
04Buying here runs through dealers, fair weeks and Tamil-first shopfronts.
05A very good pump can still lose the deal on price if buyers never learned the name.
06Pumps are judged on the test bench, so a factory film has to prove, not praise.

A maker economy, two languages and a calendar from Ayudha Pooja to Mahashivratri.
1. A city of makers, with an IT park beside the mills. The district administration calls Coimbatore "the Manchester of the South India". Its first textile mill opened in 1888. The same office says the city supplies "over 40% of India's requirements" of pumps and motors, and calls it "the pump city of Asia". It counts 700+ wet grinder makers, and names gold jewellery and auto parts among the big trades. The Coimbatore Wet Grinder and Kovai Cora Cotton carry GI tags. A GI (geographical indication) is a legal label tying a product to its place. In all, the district lists "more than 25,000" industries. TIDEL Park adds 9.14 lakh sq ft of IT space, with room for 13,500 people. And the city is one of five nodes of the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor. So many of your buyers are other firms, and they shop online first.
More on the maker economy, the two languages and the festival and fair calendar, with sources.
2. Tamil at home, English in the factory office. Locals call the city Kovai. Many speak Kongu Tamil, the region's dialect, says Wikipedia. Daily Thanthi, Dinamalar and The Hindu have Coimbatore editions on the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) list. ABC audits paper sales. Dinakaran, not a member, runs a "Coimbatore Main" edition. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 67.73 million internet subscribers in Tamil Nadu, Chennai included, in March 2026. A shop owner may read Dinamalar at breakfast and search in Tamil at night. A buyer abroad sees only your English website.
3. Pujas, fairs and one very long night. Tamil Nadu's 2026 holiday list puts Ayudha Pooja on 19 October and Deepavali on 8 November. Pongal comes every January. Isha's all-night Mahashivratri at its Coimbatore centre falls on 6 March 2027. For machine makers, the date that matters is INTEC, the machine tools fair run by CODISSIA. It is listed again for 1 to 5 June 2028. Shops plan around festivals; makers plan around fairs. The table below shows where to reach each.

Coimbatore has four private FM stations and Akashvani, plus Tamil and English dailies. Shop boards may be checked for Tamil, as a May 2025 report said. Test two stations for a month and keep the one that brings calls. Ask for a board's licence before you pay.
| What | In Coimbatore | What it means for your plan |
|---|---|---|
| Private FM radio | Four stations on the government's list of 30 March 2026: 91.1, 93.5, 98.3 and 106.4 MHz. | Test two stations for a month, then keep the one that brings calls. |
| Akashvani (All India Radio) | Primary Channel on 999 kHz and FM Rainbow on 103 MHz. The government's 2017 card lists FM Rainbow at ₹440 gross per 10-second prime-time spot. That is the station's rate, not ours. | A small, published cost for a first radio test. |
| Tamil dailies | Daily Thanthi and Dinamalar have Coimbatore editions on the ABC list. Dinakaran's e-paper adds local pages for Pollachi, Nilgiri, Erode and Tirupur. | Buy print town by town. |
| English dailies | The Hindu is on the ABC list. The Times of India set its Coimbatore launch for 14 February 2011, joining The New Indian Express and Deccan Chronicle. | For owners, plant heads and hiring notices. |
| Hoarding rules, 2023 | Tamil Nadu's 2023 rules, as reported: licences for three years and boards no higher than 10 m. No "double-decker" boards, and none near water bodies or places of worship. | Ask for the site's licence before you pay. |
| The 2017 court order | In November 2017 a 32-year-old engineer died on a Coimbatore road after his motorcycle hit an illegal hoarding. The Madras High Court then ordered all illegal hoardings in the district removed. | Event banners need permission too. We check first. |
| Tamil on shop boards | A May 2025 report said every district had formed a committee to check that shop boards carry Tamil. Chennai's rule is Tamil first and largest, in a 5:3:2 letter size. | Plan showroom and dealer boards with Tamil first. |
| CODISSIA and INTEC | CODISSIA is the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association. INTEC 2026, its machine tools fair, drew 625+ exhibitors from 20 countries. INTEC is listed again for 1 to 5 June 2028. | Plan the stall, pre-fair ads and follow-up calls together. |
| Malls | Brookefields on Krishnaswamy Road (May 2009, says Wikipedia) and Prozone (19 July 2017, over 5 lakh sq ft). | Weekend crowds for sampling, launches and festival stalls. |
| Airport and metro | 34,20,745 passengers in 2025-26, up 5.2%, with international passengers up 13.1%. AAI (Airports Authority of India) has accepted land for a longer runway. The metro is only a proposal; the Centre returned its report in July 2026. | Out-of-town visitors meet your website first. Skip metro media. |
Sources as cited, checked 4 October 2026. The 2023 rules come from a trade report of the state gazette, hence "as reported". The radio rate is the government's 2017 card. General guidance, not legal advice.

We have worked with Indian brands since 2015. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so most of the work for Coimbatore runs online, in hybrid mode.
The first step. We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck. So we begin with a 30-minute call with one of our strategists on your buyers and recent enquiries. Then you get a one-page plan and a written quote within 2 working days of that call. Nothing starts until you approve.
The steps, the media we book and what changes the cost.
Ground truth. We talk to your sales team and dealers, not just your marketing desk. For some jobs we bring in industry consultants or a partner agency, and we tell you who.
Online work. SEO (search engine optimisation: being found on Google without paying per click), ads, websites and social media are run by our servicing team, mostly online. The accounts stay in your company's name.
Papers, radio and outdoor. We book Tamil and English dailies, FM, Akashvani and licensed hoardings, and show you each rate first.
Fairs and launches. An INTEC stall or a Prozone activation is planned with you and delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. Catalogues are printed through the same partner.
Tamil and English. We write the English. Where buyers read Tamil, our language partners write that version. For buyers abroad, they also write French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese or Korean.
One service first. Clients usually start with one service and add more once the numbers hold up. Desi Machines is a PromotEdge group company we built end to end.
Choosing an agency. Meet two or three, us included, and ask who writes the Tamil copy. What moves the cost is listed below.
More that changes the cost:
How far you sell. Coimbatore alone, or Tiruppur, Erode, Pollachi and the Nilgiris too.
Fairs. An INTEC stall adds design, build, travel and follow-up.
Timing. Slots before Ayudha Pooja, Deepavali and Pongal fill first.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. You hear from us every working day. We come to Coimbatore to sit with you at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from the client's own office or plant.
Nobody can answer that honestly, us included. Ask each agency three things. Have they sold to buyers like yours, such as dealers or exporters? Can they show results in numbers? Who runs your account every week? Pick the plainest answers.
Yes, with the same servicing team. The city corporation calls Coimbatore "the largest city in the Kongunadu region", which includes Tiruppur, Erode and Salem. Dinakaran prints local editions for Pollachi, Erode, Tirupur and the Nilgiris, so print can follow dealers. TIDCO, the state's industrial body, leads the planned Kochi–Coimbatore–Bengaluru industrial corridor. For its two ends, see Kochi and Bangalore.
It depends on who buys from you. Kovai families and shop customers usually respond to Tamil. Dealers in other states and buyers abroad read English. Most makers need both. Our language partners write the Tamil; our team checks it. Tell us who buys from you and we will suggest the mix.
For Deepavali, as early as you can. Ayudha Pooja is on 19 October and Deepavali on 8 November 2026, and paper and radio slots fill as these dates near. Search and social ads can go live within days. Pongal comes every January, so book its media in November. For Isha's Mahashivratri night on 6 March 2027, start in January.
We found no hoarding rule for Coimbatore alone. Tamil Nadu's 2023 rules cover every city and town body. Reportedly, a licence lasts three years and a board can be up to 10 m high. In 2017, after a death on a Coimbatore road, the Madras High Court ordered all illegal hoardings in the district removed. General guidance, not legal advice.
