Desi Machines:a brand built from zero

An online marketplace must answer what a buyer would ask a dealer in person. This one was built to do that, from the name up.

/ 01 A PromotEdge group company

From a nameto a working marketplace.

A buyer of construction equipment will trust an online marketplace only when it answers what a dealer would. PromotEdge built Desi Machines, a PromotEdge group company, as that marketplace for equipment, building materials, spare parts, attachments and tyres.

It covers everything from the name and logo to the website, search, social media, chatbot, email and WhatsApp marketing.

Because it is our own group company, this case shows everything we do for a new brand in one place. It covers the brand, the website, search and AI search, social media and the follow-up by chatbot, email and WhatsApp. We are open about that link, and we don't share business figures for it here. We built every part to impress the contractor in a small town, not us.

/ 03 The challenge

A new name in an old way of buying.

Older platforms already sold machines online, and many buyers still bought the traditional way, through people they knew.

A contractor in a small town wants to compare machines, prices and loans before spending lakhs. Few places let them do that in one go, in plain words.

A new brand also starts with no search ranking, no followers and no trust. Everything had to be built at once. So we looked at how these buyers buy before we thought about marketing.

The buyers are spread across the country, far from the big dealer showrooms. So the brand had to work on a phone screen, in simple words. It also had to answer what a buyer would usually ask a dealer in person: which machine, at what price, with which loan and which insurance.

/ 04 What we did

Step by step,as one team.

  1. 01

    Research and the name

We studied how contractors buy machines, then built a name and look with a desi touch that they would trust.

  2. 02

    The website

A marketplace with compare, finance, insurance, used machines, rentals and spare parts, easy to use on a phone.

  3. 03

    Search, including AI search

Model pages, buying guides and blogs aimed at real buyer questions, plus trade-press outreach.

  4. 04

    Social and video

Explainers, use cases and comparisons for tier 2 to tier 5 towns, with paid posts on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

  5. 05

    Follow-up

A WhatsApp chat path, a chatbot and email sign-up, so interested buyers can come back.

/ 05 Where it stands

Honest progress.

Search impressions have been building steadily, and some product pages already appear on Google's first page. Clicks are still low, so the work goes on.

We share this as proof of what we can build, not as a results story. For what clients say about working with us, read the clients page.
