A plan that stops at one town misses part of the Tricity, because the market runs across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, Hindi and Punjabi papers and radio for all three. You see what each rupee brought back.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
An offer in the Tricity meets readers of English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu papers, across three towns and two states. As a digital marketing agency for Chandigarh, PromotEdge plans search, ads, websites, social media, newspapers, radio and events for businesses selling across the Tricity: Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
Then we judge the work by the enquiries and sales it brings.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We speak every day. The Chandigarh tourism site names Chandigarh Junction station, with trains to Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Jaipur and Lucknow among others. So a visit needs no flight.
We open with three questions: how many enquiries you get in a month, where they come from and how many become sales. A showroom in Sector 17, a software firm at the IT Park and a clinic in Mohali will each answer differently. So we test a small plan, read the results and scale only what works. We can plan strategy, advertising, digital marketing and BTL (below the line: stalls, events and shop branding) as one. Every part then carries the same offer.
People search by sector or by town, and Mohali is a different search from Panchkula.
02A purchase manager elsewhere checks if your unit can make a part to a drawing.
03The posting calendar fills from October, with Unity Day first and the Carnival later.
04Papers here print in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, so language picks the reader.
05In a city where addresses are sector numbers, your name must be what people remember.
06Newsrooms print in four languages here, and each desk wants its own version of the story.
Three facts that move money from one line of your budget to another. The first is here; two more are in the fold below.
1. Hindi, Punjabi and English buyers, and heavy internet use. English and Hindi are the official languages. At the 2011 Census, 67.8% of people gave Hindi as their mother tongue and 22.0% gave Punjabi, Wikipedia reports. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), which checks newspaper sales, lists Chandigarh editions in four languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 120.35 internet subscribers per 100 people in the Union Territory in March 2026, against 76.59 for India. It passes 100 because many people hold more than one connection.
Who this fits. IT services companies near the IT Park. Retail and fashion brands in Sector 17 and Sector 22. Travel and tourism firms near the Rock Garden. Event companies working to the festival list. And real estate sellers across the Tricity.
Our beliefWe'd rather show you results than a nice presentation.
Why Chandigarh is one market in three towns, the city built on design, and the festival calendar that fills up from October.
Chandigarh is not one state's city. Wikipedia calls it the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. It is also a Union Territory, a region run directly by the Central Government. The Capitol Complex in Sector 1 holds the Assembly, the Secretariat and the High Court. Beside it sit Mohali, in Punjab, and Panchkula, in Haryana. Together the three are the Tricity. Even the airport is across the line, at Mohali. A plan that forgets those two towns misses part of your market.
2. A planned city that sells itself on design. Wikipedia gives 7 October 1953 as the day the new capital was inaugurated, so the city turned 73 on 7 October 2026. Le Corbusier, a Swiss-French architect, drew the master plan, with 30 sectors in the first phase and 17 in the second. The tourism department calls Chandigarh “The City Beautiful”. A brand here is judged against that look, so a messy shop board or a slow website shows.
3. A festival calendar that fills up from October. The tourism department lists the Craft Mela for the first or second week of October each year. National Unity Day is on 31 October. The Carnival comes on the last weekend of November. The Chrysanthemum Show is in December. The New Year Extravaganza is in the last week of December. The Rose Festival runs every February at the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden. Cafes, jewellers and showrooms can hang offers on these dates.
Selling across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula? Tell us where your buyers live, and we will show you which town to test first. Plan the Tricity
Chandigarh has four private FM stations and papers in four languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. The radio list does not show reach into Mohali or Panchkula, so ask each station. Before you pay for an outdoor site, ask the city's Municipal Corporation in writing.
| What | In Chandigarh | What it means for your plan |
|---|---|---|
| Private FM radio | Four stations on the government's 30 March 2026 list, at 92.7, 93.5, 94.3 and 98.3 MHz. The list does not show their reach into Mohali or Panchkula. | Short spots in Carnival week, once each station confirms its reach into Mohali and Panchkula. |
| Akashvani (All India Radio) | FM Rainbow at 103.1 MHz and Vividh Bharati at 107.1 MHz. The government's June 2017 card lists FM Rainbow Chandigarh at ₹440 gross for a 10-second spot in category I. That band is 7 to 11 am and 5 to 11 pm. Vividh Bharati is ₹390 in its category I. Those are the government's rates, not ours. | A public benchmark; we ask for the current card before you plan. |
| Newspapers | English: The Tribune, The Economic Times and The Savera Times. Hindi: Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Punjab Kesari and Dainik Tribune. Punjabi: Ajit, Jag Bani and Punjabi Tribune. Urdu: Hind Samachar. The Hindu prints from Mohali. | Choose by language and ask each paper for its own reach figures. One missing from ABC's list may still print here. |
| Malls, cinemas and markets | The tourism site calls Elante Mall the largest mall in the region. It also names City Centre DLF, Centra, TDI Mall and Fun Republic, and lists five multiplexes. It calls Sector 17 Plaza the city's iconic shopping and entertainment hub. Shastri Market (Sector 22) sells fashion and crafts. | Room for mall activations and cinema ads, with Sector 17 as the main place to show a brand. |
| Outdoor rules | On 4 October 2026 the Municipal Corporation's site showed no advertisement or hoarding bye-law. Its tender list does carry an EoI (expression of interest, an invitation to firms) to maintain ad displays on roundabouts and green islands. We did not see its date or terms. | We won't quote a rule we cannot source, so we ask the Corporation in writing before you pay for a site. Change is the only constant, and rules change too. |
| Service: Advertising | Papers in four languages, six radio frequencies (four private, two Akashvani) and malls with multiplexes. | We match each paper to its language, English, Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu, and each station to the week of a sale. |
| Service: Branding | A city that is itself a design brand: Le Corbusier's plan and “The City Beautiful”, with Sector 17 and Elante as its shop windows. | Identity work that holds up next to the city's look, tested on a shop board and a mall stand. |
| Service: Public relations | Newsrooms such as The Tribune, Punjabi Tribune and Dainik Tribune. The Capitol Complex is the seat of two state governments and the High Court. | Public relations (PR) here means news pitched in each newsroom's language, timed to the Carnival or the Rose Festival. |
| Service: SEO | Tricity firms competing for the same searches, the IT Park, and searches in Hindi, Punjabi and English. | SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up on Google without paying per click) starts with a page for each side of the Tricity. |
| Service: Social media | The Rose Festival, Carnival and Craft Mela, with Nek Chand's Rock Garden (35 acres, 14 chambers, built from waste) and Sukhna Lake as backdrops. | A content calendar hung on the Rose Festival and Carnival dates. |
| Service: Website design and development | IT Park firms and Tricity businesses selling into Punjab and Haryana from one base. | Fast pages on phones, a Hindi and English switch, and call and WhatsApp buttons. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Wikipedia is the source for the mother-tongue, population, inauguration and IT Park lines. The service rows are our plan, not a promise of results.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so distance does not decide who can work with you in the Tricity.
Meeting you. The first talk is a video call, so nothing waits for a trip. After that we come to you in the Tricity at least once every three months. That holds whether you are in Sector 17 or in Mohali. For some clients, one of our people works from the client's office or plant.
Online work, papers and radio, stalls and signs, and languages.
Online, papers and radio. Our team runs your SEO, ads, website and social pages online, with the ad accounts in your company's name. We book the English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu papers your Tricity buyers read, the four private FM stations and Akashvani. You see every rate before you say yes.
Stalls, events and signs. A stand at a mall such as Elante, or a stall at the Craft Mela, is planned with you. It is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. Printing is handled through the same partner.
Languages. Through our language partners we create content in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and more, and our team checks it. Punjabi is the city's second mother tongue but is not on that confirmed list. If your buyers need it, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ people backs your account. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode, and we speak every day. We meet you in the Tricity at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
We can't answer that honestly, and no agency can. Ask each one for a sample monthly report with the client's name hidden. Ask who will write your Hindi and Punjabi copy and how they will reach Mohali and Panchkula. Ask whose name the ad accounts are in. Then pick the one whose answers you understand.
Yes, from the same team. Mohali is in Punjab and Panchkula is in Haryana. The government's FM list shows four stations for Chandigarh and none for the other two towns. So we ask each station how far it reaches. A 30-minute strategist call can map which town to test first.
Hindi is the larger mother tongue in the city and Punjabi the second, so many plans use both. Our language partners write Hindi and English versions, and our team checks them. Punjabi is not on the languages we have confirmed. If your buyers need it, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on.
Start about two months before each date. The Carnival falls on the last weekend of November. The New Year Extravaganza follows in the last week of December. The tourism site gives months, not exact days, so confirm each date before you book.
Possibly, but we could not find the rules. On 4 October 2026 the Municipal Corporation's site showed no advertisement bye-law, fee list or ban. Its tender list does carry an EoI for roundabout and green-island displays. So we ask the Corporation in writing before you pay for any site. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
