Festive and trade kits
Puja, Poila Boishakh and Diwali kits in one style: greeting cards, calendars, shop posters and WhatsApp images.
Design earns its fee when it makes a viewer do one clear thing: call, visit or order. PromotEdge designs ads, social media posts, Puja campaigns, print collateral and brand identities in Kolkata, for traders, manufacturers, institutes and consumer brands across the city.
A handsome design that nobody acts on is decoration. So every brief starts with two questions: what should the viewer do next, and where will they see it? A Bengali newspaper page, an EM Bypass hoarding and a Burrabazar counter card each need a different format, language and phone-number size.
Our job is to impress your customers, not you. Our designers work in the same Sector V office as our strategists and media planners. Signage and outdoor production are arranged through the PromotEdge group. Printing is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy.
Need a new logo first? Start with branding. For ideas that run across several media, see creative campaigns.
Posts, carousels and reel covers in one look, planned a month ahead and re-dressed for Puja and sale weeks.
02Ads sized for each Kolkata daily, with a separate layout for each language you run.
03Hoardings, bus shelters and Puja gates, designed to be read in three seconds from a moving car.
04Logo, colours, typefaces and a short rulebook, so every printer and vendor uses your brand the same way.
Puja, Poila Boishakh and Diwali kits in one style: greeting cards, calendars, shop posters and WhatsApp images.
Company profiles, catalogues and sales decks that buyers keep on the desk.
What can't be measured can't be achieved.

Creative that works in Mumbai can fall flat here. Languages, festivals and outdoor rules change the brief.
Three scripts in one city. Census 2011 found Bengali to be the mother tongue of 61.45% of people in Kolkata district, Hindi 22.84% and Urdu 13.04%. Bengali script needs more line height than English, and its joined letters only display properly in fonts built for them. So we lay out each language version on its own.
Puja is the creative peak. Puja ad spend rose 10-15% in 2025, led by everyday consumer goods, auto, e-commerce, jewellery and electronics (Storyboard18). In 2026, Mahalaya is on 10 October and Dashami on 21 October. Every brand wants its artwork in the same few weeks, so studios and printers fill up fast.
Puja hoardings carry fixed details. For Puja 2026, KMC (Kolkata Municipal Corporation) required every approved roadside hoarding to show its permission ID, the puja committee's name and the advertiser's name and phone number. That is space on the artwork you plan for from the first sketch.
| Where | Kolkata specifics | What the design must handle |
|---|---|---|
| Dailies | The Audit Bureau of Circulations lists Kolkata editions of Anandabazar Patrika, Sangbad Pratidin, Ei Samay, The Telegraph, The Times of India, Sanmarg and Prabhat Khabar. | Each paper has its own ad sizes; phone numbers must stay sharp on newsprint |
| Puja hoardings | KMC rules for 2026: up no earlier than 3 October, down by 29 October. Bamboo structures go up to 22 ft. | A clear band for the required details, and a design that earns its place in four weeks |
| Metro and airport | Metro Railway sells station advertising by tender. AAI awarded one exclusive airport concession in 2021. | Many surface sizes, each proofed separately; static and screen versions of one idea |
| Festival dates and phones | 2026: Poila Boishakh 15 April, Durga Puja 18-21 October, Kali Puja 8 November. TRAI counted 21.01 million internet subscribers in the Kolkata service area (March 2026). | A kit ready four weeks before each date, checked at phone size first |

What the design must make people do, where it will appear, in which languages, and the date it has to be live.
Rough ideas shown in place: on a newspaper page, a phone screen or a hoarding mock-up. Think creative, then pick the route on your numbers.
Up to two rounds of changes. Prices, dates and phone numbers are checked twice, because one wrong digit wastes the whole spend.
The approved master is adapted to each size, from a wide hoarding to a WhatsApp image.
Print-ready PDFs and screen files. For ads, we compare enquiries by creative, so the next round builds on the version that sold.
A Burrabazar trader needs counter cards and WhatsApp offer images. A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) maker needs catalogues and a clear logo on every vendor's file. A consumer brand needs a Puja kit that runs on hoardings, print and phones.
Adobe says Firefly makes images, vector graphics and video clips from text, and that its outputs carry Content Credentials showing AI was used. Google lists Bengali, Hindi and Urdu among the languages of the Gemini web app. We use both for rough drafts only, and a native reader checks every Bengali line.

Our view: first sketches will get faster. Brand rules, Puja permissions and the final proof stay with people. Want us to look at where AI could save you time? Ask us.

We do not publish a price list: a single social post and a full Puja kit are very different jobs. Printing and media are billed separately.
Whichever studio you choose, settle in writing who owns the open design files once you have paid.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
Brands and people are named only as public examples. They are not PromotEdge clients or endorsers unless stated.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.
Yes. Our office and design team are in Sector V, Salt Lake. You can sit with the designer working on your brand, go through drafts on a big screen, and settle changes in one meeting instead of ten emails. Visitors are welcome.
Yes. Our language partners write the Bengali and Hindi copy and our designers lay it out. Each language gets its own layout, because Bengali needs more line height than English and its joined letters only display correctly in fonts that support them.
By July or early August if the campaign includes hoardings, print or radio. KMC's 2026 window for Puja hoarding permission ran from 20 to 25 September, and boards were barred before 3 October. Artwork has to be final before media is booked.
It depends on the number of pieces, sizes and languages, and on whether you need illustration or photography. We quote against a written scope, with printing and media at actuals. Compare quotes on the same scope, and check whether resizes and changes are included.
Whoever you hire, ask this before work starts. Our written quote lists the final files you receive, so another designer can edit them later. Also agree in writing who owns any illustration or photography made for you, and who may reuse it.
Yes. Printing, signage, outdoor and retail branding are all arranged for you. The designers check colour proofs and sizes before anything goes to press, so the hoarding on the road matches the file you approved. You deal with one team from design to installation.
