/ 01 In short

In short

Construction equipment makers hear that marketing leads are junk, and they watch sales fall every monsoon. New brands must also win over contractors who know the old names.

PromotEdge, an integrated marketing agency in India, has worked on these problems for equipment and engine makers. This page shows how, with client names kept private and results shared 1-to-1 under NDA.

/ 02 Major challenges

Major challenges in construction equipment marketing

Four problems hold back most equipment brands. They come from our construction equipment industry page and from trade reports. Under each we say what the work did about it.

Dealers say the marketing leads are junk.

A lead with no machine, site or time is hard to follow up, so the dealer stops trying. How we worked on it: Lead generation and WhatsApp marketing, with QR codes that tie each enquiry to the place it came from.

The team came back from the show with only a box of visiting cards.

Without a follow-up plan, a show's contacts go cold in a fortnight. How we worked on it: Event branding for the stall, catalogues to take away, and email to carry on the talk afterwards.

Contractors still see the brand as the new, foreign one.

A contractor who has not seen the machine at work falls back on the name they know. How we worked on it: Branding work and brand campaigns that made every piece look like one company, with digital films and CGI content that show the machine.

Sales drop every monsoon, so all marketing is switched off.

Rented machines sit idle in a long monsoon, and owners delay buying. When marketing stops with the season, the brand has to start again. How we worked on it: Search work, blogs and social media, which can keep going while site work slows.

/ 03 Who it was for

Who this work was for

Construction equipment and engine makers that sell through dealers to contractors, rental firms and project teams. We have worked with 3 construction equipment and engine brands, and we do not name them.

Our beliefWe believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 04 What we did

What we did for construction equipment brands

We ran brand, digital and print as one plan, built around the dealer and the contractor.

  1. 01

    Fix the brand first

Branding work, so every piece looks like it comes from one company.

  2. 02

Build the website and keep it running

We built it, then kept it and its server running.

  3. 03

    Be found and followed up

Search work and blogs, lead generation, WhatsApp marketing and QR codes that tie each enquiry to its source.

  4. 04

    Run the brand campaigns

Advertising and brand campaigns, with performance marketing judged on enquiries.

  5. 05

Show up at events and in print

Event branding and creatives, brochures, catalogues, diary and calendar design.

  6. 06

    Show the machine

Social media, influencer work, CGI content, photoshoots and digital films.

/ 05 The work

The work, as a list

  • Branding, logo design and presentations
  • Website design, development and maintenance, and web server management
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO) and blogs
  • Email marketing
  • Performance marketing and lead generation
  • WhatsApp marketing and QR codes
  • Social media and influencer work
  • Brand campaigns and creative design
  • Event branding and event creatives
  • Brochures, catalogues, diaries and calendars
  • CGI content, photoshoots and digital films
/ 06 One team

How it worked together

All of it sat with one team, so a dealer and a contractor met the same company everywhere.

Common questions

  • No. Our NDAs stop us tying a client's name, screens or numbers to the work on a public page. A 1-to-1 call covers the method and the results, and we will say plainly what we can and cannot show.

  • Yes, where the plan needs it. The dealer is the buyer's first contact, so the plan covers what the dealer shows, says and follows up. We scope it with you in the first call.

  • Keep the slower, cheaper work going, such as search and content, while site work is down. Then the brand is still in view when contractors start buying again.
