Search work for a port city that sells to Kakkanad, to the rest of Kerala and to other countries, done online by a servicing team across India. Every month you see how many enquiries Google sent you.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A Kochi buyer usually reads about you on a phone before calling, and a slow or thin page sends that buyer to the next result. PromotEdge fixes your site, writes pages for real searches and keeps your Maps listing right, so Google sends steady enquiries to Ernakulam's clinics, shops, IT firms and exporters.
SEO stands for search engine optimisation. It is the work that lifts your website in Google's free results. You don't pay Google for those clicks. So judge SEO services in Kochi on one number: the enquiries that keep arriving without an ad bill.
A plain answer on how we work. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Search work is screen work, so it runs online in hybrid mode, with video calls and one written report a month. We visit Kochi to meet you, and a team member works from your site when a job needs it.
Kochi buyers come from three directions. A clinic in Edappally wants families from the next few streets. A software firm in Kakkanad wants a manager in another country. Each one needs its own pages. The wider city picture is on our Kochi overview, and our full method is on the national SEO services page.
We load your main pages on an ordinary Android phone over mobile data. You get a list of what is slow, broken or hidden from Google, worst first.
02Key service pages in the language your buyers type, written by our language partners, not a machine: Hindi, Tamil and more. English stays for business buyers. Malayalam only after a partner says yes.
A Google Business Profile, the free listing on Google Maps, for each branch. The right category, hours and photos, plus the nearest Metro station or jetty.
For firms in Kakkanad and Kalamassery: one page per service, with the project, the kind of client and what changed. Buyers abroad trust proof, not adjectives.
05For forwarders, shippers and exporters: a page for each service, cargo type and destination, in clear English for a buyer who has never been to Kochi.
06Change is the only constant, and search has AI answers. Short answers, dates and facts, written plainly on your pages. ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews can then describe your firm correctly when someone asks about Kochi.
Calls, forms and WhatsApp chats that came from Google's free results, counted each month and kept apart from any ads you run.
We checked each one in a public source on 4 October 2026. The first is here; four more are in the fold below.
1. Two languages, typed in three ways. The Ernakulam district website says Malayalam is the official language and English is popularly used in business circles. A family looking for a clinic may type in Malayalam script, or type Malayalam words in English letters. A buyer in an office park will usually type English. We check your buyers' own words first. If many search in Malayalam, we confirm a language partner can write those pages before planning them.
Four more public facts: how many people are online, the tech and startup base, the port, and international air travel.
2. Kerala is nearly all online. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 35.55 million internet subscribers in Kerala at the end of March 2026. That is 98.16 for every 100 people. This is the state total, as TRAI gives none for Kochi alone. Your buyer has probably read about you on a phone before calling. A slow page sends that buyer to the next result.
3. A crowded tech and startup base. Infopark, a government IT park, was set up in 2004 with its main campus at Kakkanad. Its site claims 582+ companies, but that count covers its Thrissur and Cherthala campuses too. Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the state's agency for new businesses, was set up in 2006. Its head office is in Thiruvananthapuram, and its Kochi office is at Kinfra Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery. A business news site reports 8,620+ Kerala startups recognised by DPIIT, the central government department that grants that status, on 31 March 2026. Many of these firms chase the same English searches. Narrow pages with named projects stand out. Think creative. Act on numbers.
4. A port that trades with the world. Cochin Port handled about 38.06 million tonnes of cargo in 2025-26, the shipping ministry reports. DP World's container terminal at Vallarpadam moved 77,637 TEUs in May 2026, which it calls its highest month of 2026. A TEU is one standard 20-foot container. Forwarders, customs agents and exporters are found by buyers in other countries. Those buyers search in English, by service, cargo and port.
5. Nearly half the air travel is international. Kochi airport handled 1,13,02,552 passengers in 2025-26, and 53,30,796 of them flew international routes, the Airports Authority of India reports. That share is far higher than at any metro airport on the same table. So expect some buyers to search from abroad, and make contact easy from another time zone.
People in Kochi search by the nearest metro station, and a jetty can be a landmark. Name your nearest station or jetty on your Maps listing and contact page. New pages need months to rank, so put Vishu pages live by January.
| Topic | What the source says | What it changes in your SEO |
|---|---|---|
| Towns in the district | About 32.8 lakh people in Ernakulam district, with 1 corporation (Kochi), 13 municipalities and 82 panchayats. | Name only the towns you truly serve. One honest listing beats ten thin area pages. |
| Metro | 28.125 km from Aluva to Tripunithura, with 25 stations. About 1 lakh trips a day in 2025. | Name your nearest station on your Maps listing and contact page. People search by it. |
| Water Metro | 10 terminals, including Vypin, Vytilla, Kakkanad, Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. | Shops and cafes near a jetty can name it as a landmark. |
| Shipyard | Cochin Shipyard was set up in 1972 as a Government of India company. It built INS Vikrant. | Suppliers to large yards need spec pages that a purchase engineer can find by part name. |
| Festivals | Onam comes every year in August or September, and Vishu every mid-April. | New pages need months to rank. Put Vishu pages live by January and Onam pages by May. |
| Biennale | The sixth Kochi-Muziris Biennale used 29 venues and ended on 31 March 2026. The organiser lists a seventh edition for 2027-2028. | Hotels, cafes and homestays near Fort Kochi and Mattancherry can build visitor pages well ahead. |
| Local papers | Members of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) with a Kochi edition include Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi, Deshabhimani, The Hindu, The Times of India and The Economic Times. | Real news about you in these papers helps Google and AI tools link your name with Kochi. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. The Biennale dates are the organiser's own. Papers and bodies are named as part of the city, not as PromotEdge clients or partners.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India. The work happens on screen, in hybrid mode, so we talk daily and send one written report a month. We meet you in Kochi at least once every three months, and a team member works from your site when a job needs it.
The district's own site says English is common in business, so IT firms and exporters can lead with English. Clinics, shops and schools selling to families often gain from Malayalam versions of their main pages. Tell us at the start if you want Malayalam; we first confirm a language partner can write it.
We won't make that claim, and nobody can prove it. Ask each firm to show a page it wrote that brings enquiries. Ask who will write your Malayalam pages. Ask what the monthly report counts, and what they change if month six looks flat. Choose the firm whose answers you can check.
Yes, if those buyers already search for what you sell. Build one English page for each product or service, with the specs, certificates and shipping ports a buyer checks. A buyer abroad can't walk into your warehouse first, so the page has to answer their questions. Our language partners can add other languages.
They can, if your pages are built for them. Nearly half of Kochi airport's passengers in 2025-26 flew international routes, so expect some buyers to search from outside India. Give them a number with the country code, a WhatsApp button and a way to book or pay from abroad.
Both festivals come back every year: Vishu in mid-April and Onam in August or September. A new page needs months to rank, so put Vishu pages live by January and Onam pages by May. Refresh your Maps photos before each festival.
