Websites for Kochi's traders, startups and family firms, built online by a servicing team across India. Your next buyer may sit in Kakkanad or in another country. Both will open your site on a phone.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A Kochi buyer often judges your firm by its website before replying, and a slow page on a phone loses that buyer. PromotEdge builds fast, phone-first websites for Kochi's traders, startups and IT firms, so that buyers at home and abroad trust you and ask for a quote.
Some owners want a website design company in Kochi, others a development company. You need both. Design is what a visitor sees and taps. Development is what works behind it: speed, forms, security and a CMS (content management system, where your staff edit pages). We plan both with SEO (search engine optimisation, which helps Google show your pages).
A page for each service, cargo type or product line, with licences worded exactly as your papers state them, and a short rate or sample request form.
02For teams in Kakkanad and Kalamassery: what you do in one line, real project notes, a careers page and a booking link in the client's time zone.
03Phone numbers with the country code, a WhatsApp chat button, delivery or service terms in plain words, and the hours you answer in their time.
04Key pages for local homes, clinics, schools and shops, each at its own web address, written by our language partners in Hindi, Tamil and more, not a tool. For Malayalam, we confirm a partner first.
Small images, few add-on scripts and a call button within thumb reach. We test on a basic Android phone over mobile data, not office Wi-Fi.
For brands that sell across India and overseas: catalogue, payments, shipping rules by country and order updates on WhatsApp.
Each fact is from a public source, checked on 4 October 2026; the advice is ours. Two facts are below and two more are in the fold.
1. Kerala is online, and mostly on phones. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 35.55 million internet subscribers in Kerala at the end of March 2026. That is 98.16 for every 100 people. The state also had 44.53 million phone connections, more than one for each person. So your visitor is usually on a phone, maybe on a Metro train or a boat. A slow first screen loses them.
2. Nearly half of the airport's passengers fly abroad. Kochi airport handled 1,13,02,552 passengers in 2025-26. Of them, 53,30,796 took international flights, the Airports Authority of India reports. On the same table, the international share is about 30% at Mumbai and about 16% at Bengaluru. If some of your buyers live in the Gulf or elsewhere abroad, plan the site for them too, from the phone number to the reply hours.
Our beliefChange is the only constant.
The port and the startup scene, two more of the four Kochi facts, with their sources.
3. Cargo moves through Kochi every day. The shipping ministry says Cochin Port handled about 38.06 million tonnes of cargo in 2025-26, up 0.84% on the year before. DP World's container terminal at Vallarpadam moved 77,637 TEUs in May 2026. A TEU is one standard 20-foot container. DP World called it the terminal's highest monthly figure of 2026 up to then. Forwarders, customs agents and exporters sell to buyers who read the website before they reply. They look for your services, the ports you cover, your licences and a quick way to ask for a rate.
4. Startups and IT firms with clients far away. Kerala had 8,620+ startups recognised by DPIIT on 31 March 2026, Inc42 reported from commerce ministry data. DPIIT is the central government department that certifies startups. Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the state's startup agency, was set up in 2006. Its head office is in Thiruvananthapuram, and its Kochi office is at Kalamassery. Infopark, the government IT park, was set up in 2004, with its main campus at Kakkanad. It lists 582+ companies, but that count covers all its campuses, Thrissur and Cherthala included. When a firm like this sells outside Kerala, its website does the first meeting. It needs proof of past work and an easy way to book a call.
Kochi has a busy port and a big shipyard, and Kerala has almost one internet connection for every person. So build your site for the phone first, with the call button in easy reach. Plan your launch away from Onam and the Cochin Carnival.
| Kochi fact | What the source says | What it means for your site |
|---|---|---|
| Online reach | Kerala: 35.55 million internet subscribers, 98.16 per 100 people, and 44.53 million phone connections, end of March 2026 (TRAI). | Design for the phone first. Keep the first screen light and the call button in reach. |
| Port and containers | Cochin Port: about 38.06 million tonnes of cargo in 2025-26. Vallarpadam terminal: 77,637 TEUs in May 2026 (DP World). | Pages by service and route, and a rate request form short enough to fill on a phone. |
| Shipyard | Cochin Shipyard was set up in 1972 as a central government company. It built INS Vikrant, India's first home-built aircraft carrier. | Suppliers to big yards and plants face buyers who want specs, approvals and photos of real work. |
| Startups | 8,620+ DPIIT-recognised startups in Kerala on 31 March 2026. KSUM's Kochi office is at Kinfra Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery. | A clear product page for users, a section for investors and a careers page you can update yourself. |
| IT parks | Infopark was set up in 2004, with its main campus at Kakkanad. It lists 582+ companies across all its campuses, not Kochi alone. | IT firms chase the same clients and hires. Proof of work counts for more than claims. |
| Air travel | 53,30,796 of Kochi airport's 1,13,02,552 passengers flew international in 2025-26 (Airports Authority of India). | Country codes, WhatsApp and reply hours in the buyer's time zone. |
| Language | The district site: "Malayalam is the Official Language. English is popularly used in business circles." | English for trade and IT buyers. Homes, patients and shoppers may want Malayalam. |
| Getting around | Kochi Metro runs 28.125 km from Aluva to Tripunithura, with 25 stations. The Water Metro lists 10 terminals, including Vytilla and Fort Kochi. | Name your nearest Metro station or boat terminal on your contact page. |
| Festival weeks | Onam falls every August to September and Vishu in mid-April. The Cochin Carnival runs every year from 23 December to 1 January. | Avoid a launch in these weeks, when sign-offs slow. Put season pages live well before. |

This page covers only what is different in Kochi. How we build sites in general is on the national website design and development page. The city's wider picture sits on our Kochi overview.
We don't publish a price list. After a first call with one of our strategists we write down the pages, languages and features you need, then quote on that scope. Domain, hosting, paid plugins and any shoot are billed at actuals, in your name.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Fixed-scope build | One quote for the pages, languages and features in the written scope; usually 4 to 6 weeks, timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Build, then monthly care | Updates, backups, speed checks and new pages after launch; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Two-phase build | English pages first for trade buyers, other languages in a second phase; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Four more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
Forms for buyers abroad: rate requests, sample requests or bookings across time zones.
Links to your CRM, WhatsApp Business number or shipment tracking tool.
Photos of your warehouse, yard or office, and whether a shoot is needed.
Moving an old site without losing the Google visits it already gets.
Comparing quotes from website design companies in Kochi? Check three things. Does it list every page and language? Who owns the domain and code? What happens if the site breaks after launch?
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

It depends on who buys from you. Trade buyers, IT clients and people abroad mostly read English. Families, patients and shoppers in Kochi may prefer Malayalam. Many firms need a few key pages in a second language, not a copy of the whole site. For Malayalam, tell us at the start; we confirm a language partner first.
We won't claim that, and nobody can prove it. Ask each company four things. Can I see live sites you built, and call their owners? Who will own the domain, hosting and code? How fast will my pages open on a basic phone? What happens after launch? Pick the one with the clearest written answers.
A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to build. A single landing page can go live faster. A full site in two languages takes longer. Google enquiries come later still, as new pages often need a few months to rank. Ads can send visitors from the first week.
Your number with the +91 code and a WhatsApp button. The hours you reply, in their time zone. How you ship or deliver, and your certificates worded exactly as your papers say. Keep the English short; many readers abroad use it as a second language. Our language partners can add French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese or Korean pages.
Avoid going live in Onam week (every August to September) or around Vishu in mid-April, when sign-offs slow. A hotel, café or homestay in Fort Kochi should have its pages live well before the Cochin Carnival, every year from 23 December to 1 January. The Biennale's seventh edition is listed for 2027 to 2028, so plan for its visitors early.
