“A competitor shows on the map. We don't, even on our own street.”
Usually the category is wrong or the profile is half filled or unverified. We fix those first: Google says complete, accurate profiles are more likely to show.
When people nearby search for what you sell, the business that shows on Google Maps gets the call, even if a rival two streets away is not as good. PromotEdge runs local SEO so that those people find you, call you, ask for directions and walk in.
Local SEO (search engine optimisation for nearby searches) covers your Google Business Profile, the free listing beside the map, once called Google My Business (GMB). It also covers other listings, reviews and location pages.
Google's help page says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity, which it also calls prominence (how well known you are). Distance is fixed. The other two are work.
Choose local SEO when buyers come from a few kilometres around each outlet, and full SEO services when your website must win searches across India.
Our beliefWe look at your business first. Marketing comes second.
| Part | What we do | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Listing check | Search from each area, on a phone; list every profile and entry | What is wrong, what to fix first |
| Google Business Profile | Claim, verify and fill each: real name, right categories, hours, photos, pin | Verified profiles you own |
| Multi-location set-up | One profile per real location; duplicates merged | A clean list that matches your branches |
| Directory clean-up | Same name, address, phone on Bing, Apple Maps, Justdial, IndiaMART, your site | Matching details everywhere |
| Location pages | A page per branch: directions, hours, photos, local questions | Pages that support each profile |
| Reviews and replies | A request to every customer after the visit; polite replies to all | Honest reviews within Google's rules |
| Monthly report | Calls, messages, bookings, directions, clicks per location, from your profiles | A short report and a call |
You own every profile and listing, so nothing is lost if you ever stop.
“A competitor shows on the map. We don't, even on our own street.”
Usually the category is wrong or the profile is half filled or unverified. We fix those first: Google says complete, accurate profiles are more likely to show.
“Customers call the old number, or Google sends them to the wrong branch.”
We make your name, address and phone number (NAP) match everywhere, set holiday hours, and remove duplicates and wrong pins. Google allows one profile per location.
“Our rating is 3.8 because only angry customers write reviews.”
We send a simple request to every customer after the visit, not only the happy ones, and reply to every review.
“Someone offered us a guaranteed spot at the top of Google Maps.”
Walk away. Google says there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Paid or fake reviews break its rules.
“Most of our walk-ins come from one listing site that we pay every year.”
A site that owns the buyer can raise its price any time. We build your own profiles and location pages so nearby buyers reach you directly.
“We get profile views, but nobody can tell us if they became sales.”
We track calls, directions, clicks and bookings by location. A simple CRM (software that keeps every enquiry) and a call-back rule let the report count real customers.

A call with you and whoever answers your phones. What do callers ask? Which branch gets lost?
Verification, categories, pins, hours and matching details, branch by branch. They cost little and often show results within weeks.
Photos, posts, review requests and location pages, tried on two or three branches first.
What brought calls goes to every location. What didn't, we drop.
What can't be measured can't be achieved, so you get a plain report by location and the next fixes in order.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
A diagnostic centre needs home-collection bookings and trust. A tyre dealer needs calls and correct hours. A chain with forty outlets needs every pin in the right place first. Corporate groups with dealer networks need every dealer found in its own town (see enterprise SEO).
With one outlet and a few hours a month, you can do these six steps. With many branches, messy old listings or no time for reviews, help saves work and catches errors.
Either way, the profile stays in your company's name.
On 10 June 2026 Google said you can connect your Business Profile to Gemini with one tap. Gemini can then summarise how your profile did, draft review replies in your voice, update hours and flag gaps. Google said it was rolling out globally, excluding the EEA and UK.

These tools save time, but ranking still rests on relevance, distance and prominence, so read every reply before it goes out. Our view: complete, honest profiles will still decide who gets the call. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

The Google Business Profile itself is free; you pay for the work around it. We quote per location after we have seen your listings. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.
Comparing quotes? Check each names the locations, says who owns the profiles and what the report counts.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
SEO usually shows results in 3 to 6 months. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Rahul MishraAssistant Manager Digital Marketing & Ecommerce at Magik LightingIt depends mostly on how many locations you have and how messy the listings are today. The Google Business Profile is free; you pay for the work around it. We quote per location, against a written list of fixes, so you see each cost first.
Yes, for one outlet: see the six steps under "Try it yourself first". Many branches or old listings with errors are easier with help. Either way, keep the profile in your name. A senior SEO lead owns your plan and numbers if you hire us.
Yes. Google My Business is the old name for Google Business Profile. GMB services and Google My Business optimisation mean the same work: setting up the profile properly, keeping it accurate, adding real photos, replying to questions and earning honest reviews over time.
Nobody can promise that. Google says there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, and the searcher's distance is outside anyone's control. We make your profiles complete and accurate and earn more reviews, then report calls and visits.
Every month you see calls, messages, bookings, direction requests and website clicks for each location, from your own profiles. We also ask your branches what they hear, because a call that becomes a sale matters more than a view. The report ends with next fixes.
No. Google's rules ban paying or rewarding people for reviews, and asking only happy customers. We ask every customer after the visit and reply in your name, in the language the customer wrote in. For a review crisis, see online reputation management.
Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most local SEO is done online. We check each location as a nearby buyer would, on a phone, and visit you regularly. In Kolkata itself, see our Kolkata page. Our in-house team does location visits and shoots, with partner agencies.
The basics are the same: one accurate profile per location and honest reviews. The details change with the business. Clinics and healthcare need trust and bookings, real estate site-visit calls, manufacturers every dealer found in the right town, and shops walk-ins.
