Paid media,measured in sales.

Paid media is worth only what it brings back in leads and sales. PromotEdge runs paid campaigns across Google, Meta, YouTube and LinkedIn, with the tracking and landing pages behind them, for Kolkata brands, institutes and B2B (business-to-business) firms.

Your budget is judged on leads, sales and return on ad spend.

Performance marketing means paying for media and judging it only on results you can count: an enquiry, a booking, an order. Say Instagram brings orders at ₹300 each and Google at ₹900. Next month's budget should follow that.

Tracking comes first. Before we spend, every form, call, WhatsApp message and online order is tied to a campaign. Where sales close in a showroom, we agree a simple log. What can't be measured can't be achieved.

Our reports start with cost per lead, cost per sale and ROAS (return on ad spend). The national method is on our performance marketing page. Running ads in other cities too? See Mumbai and Bangalore.

/ 03 Performance marketing in Kolkata

A lumpy year, a mature market.

Kolkata's buying year peaks hard, and its mobile market looks mature. Both change how a paid budget is spent.

One festival can take a quarter of the budget. A strategist told Storyboard18 in September 2025 that regional brands in Bengal and the East may put 25-30% of their yearly marketing money into Durga Puja. So we use the months before Puja to find the ads and offers that convert, then back the winners.

Growth comes from winning buyers over. Every telecom service area except Kolkata added mobile subscribers in July 2026, TelecomTalk reported from TRAI data. Our reading: buyers here already compare options on their phones, so sharper offers, creative and remarketing matter most.

We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 05 How a campaign runs

Test small,then scale what sells.

  1. 01

    Numbers first

We agree the target (cost per lead, cost per sale or ROAS) and what a customer is worth to you over a year.

  2. 02

    Fix the tracking

Pixels, conversion events, call tracking and the offline-sales log, checked with test leads.

  3. 03

    Test before the peak

Small budgets across channels, audiences and offers, well before Puja or your own season.

  4. 04

    Scale what works

Budget moves each week to the lowest cost per sale. Weak campaigns are cut fast.

  5. 05

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C (direct to consumer) brand watches orders and ROAS. A B2B (business-to-business) firm counts qualified leads, not clicks. A showroom or shop counts calls and visits. A seller on marketplaces and quick commerce feeds those sales back, so ads can learn from them.

  1. Agree the number that counts. A budget needs one target, or every channel looks like a winner. A cost per lead, cost per sale or ROAS target.
  2. Fix tracking before spending. Ads cannot learn from sales they cannot see. Test leads that appear in your sheet or CRM.
  3. Test small before the peak. Puja is too costly a time to learn what works. A short list of winning ads and offers.
  4. Move money every week. The cheapest sale today may not be the cheapest next month. A weekly view of spend by channel.
  5. Review with your team. Sales staff know which leads were real. A monthly report and a call.

Jhalak Agarwal, our Performance Marketing Lead for Meta and D2C ads, and Avi Saraf, our Performance Marketing Lead for quick commerce and D2C, plan the tests.

Go deeper: the Puja numbers

Ad spend around Puja 2025

Industry leaders quoted by Storyboard18 expected a 10-15% rise in Puja ad spend over the year before, and called Durga Puja the second-largest ad season after Diwali.

Where the shoppers went

The Federal reported that Kolkata's eight major malls did about ₹900 crore of business, up 8-10%. Gariahat, Hatibagan and New Market saw earnings dip about 20%, blamed on rain and online shopping. A trade body put those markets at about ₹800 crore. Buyers are moving between shops, malls and phones, so we track all three.

AI in performance marketing: today and next

Today: Google Performance Max

Google describes Performance Max as a goal-based campaign that reaches Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps from one campaign. You supply assets, conversion goals and an optional ROAS or cost target. Google says you stay responsible for reviewing landing pages and generated assets.

Next

Our view: automation will take over more bidding. The edge moves to clean conversion data and good offers, which is why we fix tracking first. Want us to check yours? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What performance marketing in Kolkata costs.

We don't publish a price list. Kolkata clients pay what clients in other Indian cities pay. Ad spend goes to the platforms, not to us.

What affects the cost

  • Monthly ad spend across Google, Meta and LinkedIn, billed separately
  • How many channels and campaigns run at once
  • Creative volume: new ads, videos and language versions
  • Tracking depth: pixels only, or CRM and offline sales too
  • Seasonal peaks such as Durga Puja, Kali Puja and Poila Boishakh

How we quote

  1. We ask what a lead or a sale is worth to you, and what you spend today
  2. We look at your tracking, your sales log and the pages your ads send people to
  3. You get a written plan and a quote, with our fee, ad spend and creative apart. We send it within 2 working days

What you get in the quote

  • Our management fee for each channel we run
  • Tracking set-up, and the CRM or offline-sales link if you need one
  • How a lead is counted, written down before the first rupee is spent

Be wary of a guaranteed lead count or promised ROAS before anyone has seen your tracking.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • Usually a management fee, plus your ad spend, which goes to the platforms. The fee depends on channels, creative volume and tracking work. We quote against a written scope, with ad spend shown apart. Before comparing prices, ask each agency how it counts a lead.

  • Google Ads is one channel. Performance marketing plans the whole paid budget across Google, Meta, YouTube and LinkedIn, and moves money each week to whichever channel brings sales at the lowest cost. Both need clean tracking, or neither can be judged fairly.

  • Yes. Our office and the people who run your campaigns are at Suite 508, Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre, Sector V. Drop in for the monthly review whenever it suits you, or join it on a video call if you are out of town.

  • Yes. Through our language partners we write ads in Bengali and Hindi as well as English. Where your buyers may respond better to Bengali, we test it against English and Hindi and let cost per sale decide, not a guess.

  • Test in August and September, and put the bulk behind proven ads from late September. Hold some back for Kali Puja on 8 November 2026, which comes 18 days after Dashami on 21 October. Keep a little for the days after, when buyers still search.

  • Yes, with some help from your team. A simple log or a CRM link ties walk-in and phone sales back to campaigns. Without it, Google and Meta only see half the story, and we tell you plainly what is missing.

  • Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum. After that you can stop with 30 days' notice. We report every month, so you can see what the money returned well before the three months end. Ask for a sample report first, if you like.
