/ 01 PR agency in Bangalore

Earn a mention in the papersBangalore already trusts.

A press note is not a story until an editor can see why readers would care. PromotEdge turns your news into stories for Kannada and English editors, startups and tech firms, so buyers read about you in papers they believe.

Public relations (PR) means getting the press to write about you on their own terms. An ad is space you buy. A story is space an editor gives you, so no agency can order it.

Our servicing team in Bangalore works with you in person. Many buyers are SaaS or IT services firms. For PR in general, see our public relations page; for the city, the Bangalore page.

The work behinda story that runs.

/ 03 What makes Bangalore PR different

A deep press, two main languages and a very busy tech desk.

Four facts, checked on 4 October 2026.

More audited papers than any other city. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), which checks paper sales, lists 25 Bangalore editions, more than New Delhi or Mumbai. That counts papers, not readers, but it means many desks.

Kannada comes first. A February 2024 rule says Kannada must fill 60% of each business signboard, in the upper half. It covers boards, not press notes, but a Kannada desk spots machine translation at once.

The tech desk hears a funding story every day. Karnataka had over 22,600 startups recognised by the central industry department on 31 March 2026, second only to Maharashtra (Inc42). So "we raised money" is rarely enough.

The state treats paid posts as ads, and so do we. Under Karnataka's 2024 digital advertising guidelines, influencers and digital outlets register with DIPR before running state ads. We label every paid post, planned with our influencer team.

/ 05 How a Bangalore PR plan runs

Five steps from a callto a clipping.

  1. 01

    Hear the whole business

A long call with founders and sales, noting what is new and provable.

  2. 02

    Pick the desks

Kannada or English, city or business, tech or trade, by where your buyers read.

  3. 03

    Prepare the pack

A note in each language, photos, a fact sheet and a practised spokesperson.

  4. 04

    Pitch, then answer fast

A few personal pitches, then quick replies to reporters.

  5. 05

    Log every result

Each story with outlet and date, plus the pitches that did not land.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A SaaS or IT services firm does best with a founder voice and one real number. A consumer brand or franchise fits city pages and festival stories. A maker that sells to other businesses fits trade titles.

  1. Find the story before the pitch. Editors print what is new. Real angles, or an honest "not yet".
  2. Write Kannada and English separately. A Kannada desk spots a translated note at once. Two notes, each checked by a native reader.
  3. Brief reporters early in big weeks. Tech desks are busy in Summit week. A calendar of pitch dates.

More of Bangalore's press

Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi dailies are also printed in Bangalore, per the ABC list, and the ministry list of 30 March 2026 shows 8 private FM stations. The Printers (Mysore), publisher of Deccan Herald and Prajavani, began in 1948; Vijay Karnataka started on 4 October 1999.

Who sets the rules, and who speaks for the trade

ASCI, the Advertising Standards Council of India, was founded on 21 October 1985 and published influencer guidelines in May 2021. PRCAI, the Public Relations Consultants Association of India, says PR firms formed it over two decades ago.

AI in PR: today and next

Today: Google's AI answers

Google says no special markup is needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, but a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet. Our view: a real story on an indexed news site can be a supporting link.

Next

Our view: drafting a note will get faster. A reporter still needs a true story and a checked number.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of PR in Bangalore.

We write the scope and quote against it. Travel, venue hire, photography and any paid distribution are passed on at actual cost, and you see each before you say yes.

What affects the cost

  • Languages. English only, or Kannada and English, or a third language.
  • Beats. Startup, business, aerospace and city desks each need their own list.
  • Show weeks and meetings. Summit plans start weeks ahead; press meets add travel.

How we quote

  1. A first call on your news and the readers you want
  2. A written scope of stories, languages, desks and dates, which you can trim
  3. A quote within 2 working days, with travel, venue and photo costs at actuals

What you get in the quote

  • Story angles, desks, and notes in your languages
  • Follow-up, and a log of what ran and what did not

Ask which stories in a quote are paid placements. Counting paid pieces as coverage is selling ads under another name.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Have news for Bangalore?

Tell us what is new. We'll say honestly if it is a story.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team in Bangalore looks after your PR, backed by the wider team across India. We talk daily on calls, meet you at least once every three months, and place our team at your site for interviews and launches.

  • It turns what is happening in your company into stories editors want. It picks the angle, writes the notes, prepares your spokesperson and pitches the right reporters, then tells you plainly what ran and what did not. If your news is not yet a story, we say so.

  • We can't promise it, and nobody honest can. Editors choose what runs, and the day's news can change their choice. These papers are named as part of Bangalore's press, not as our contacts. We promise a real angle, a clean note and quick follow-up.

  • Usually both, written separately. Kannada reaches the state's own-language papers, and English is where most startup, tech and business news starts. A Tamil or Telugu paper printed in Bangalore may suit a community story. Our partners write each version fresh.

  • Proof and people. Funding alone is common news on the tech desk. Give a reporter a named customer, a number you can show, or a founder with a clear view. Those are reasons to call, and we help you find them before we pitch.

  • Avoid peak festival days unless your news is festive: Mysuru Dasara runs 11 to 21 October and Deepavali is on 8 November 2026. Tech news crowds around the Bengaluru Tech Summit, 17 to 19 November, so brief reporters before it starts.

  • Strong news can run within days. Becoming a name reporters call takes months of steady stories. Judge PR by where you appeared, then by enquiries and name searches. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • We won't claim that, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Ask each agency: who writes the Kannada note, which sample clippings were paid for, and will your report show failed pitches? Choose the one that answers all three.
