/ 01 Branding agency in Bangalore

Most logos here were drawnfor one language.

A brand that reads well in only one of Bangalore's two languages loses the buyers who read the other. PromotEdge fixes what your company stands for, then builds the name, logo and look around it, for startups, global tech teams and shops.

The goal: buyers and job seekers remember you, in Kannada and in English.

Whether you want a branding agency or a branding company in Bangalore, the job starts when a logo stops fitting. A founder's deck, a shop board that must put Kannada on top, a tech team engineers pass over.

We start with words, not drawings: position, then logo, then rules for colour, type and layout. Ads and social media follow. See our branding and identity service and the Bangalore page. The same service is described for Mumbai and Coimbatore.

/ 03 Why Bangalore brands are different

One law, two scripts, and very busy rivals.

Four things shape a brand in this city. The first one is the law.

Kannada must lead on every shop board. On 15 February 2024, the Karnataka Assembly passed a change to its Kannada language law. Kannada must now fill 60% of a business signboard, in its upper half. A 29 February 2024 report said BBMP, the city body then, had sent about 55,178 notices. An English-only logo now sits under a Kannada name someone else drew.

Thousands of startups want to look grown up. Karnataka had over 22,600 startups recognised by DPIIT, the central startup department, on 31 March 2026, second to Maharashtra. A hurried first logo hurts when they pitch large buyers or hire senior people.

Global teams compete to hire. A GCC, or global capability centre, is an in-house unit of a foreign company. At the September 2024 launch of Karnataka's GCC policy, Bengaluru was said to house "over 30 percent of the country's GCCs". The policy aims for 500 new ones by 2029, a target, not a result. Here the brand job is hiring.

Big flagships set the bar. Apple opened Apple Hebbal on 2 September 2025, its first store in South India. IKEA opened its first Karnataka store at Nagasandra on 22 June 2022. Shoppers judge local labels by that finish.

/ 05 How a Bangalore brand project runs

Six stages,you approve each one.

The design work takes about eight to ten weeks.

  1. 01

    Gather what exists (week 1)

You send everything that carries your name. We mark where it disagrees.

  2. 02

    Hear from people (weeks 1-3)

Short calls with buyers you pick, and recent hires for tech teams.

  3. 03

    Write the position (weeks 2-3)

One page in plain words, changed until you sign it. No design starts before that.

  4. 04

Draw in both scripts (weeks 3-6)

Two or three routes, each in Kannada and English, drawn side by side. Our language partners write the Kannada.

  5. 05

Test it at real size (weeks 6-8)

The chosen route goes on a mock board, a phone screen and a lobby wall.

  6. 06

Hand over and roll out (weeks 8-10)

A brand book, master files and templates. Printing goes to a printer you choose or we suggest.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

Offices and malls

Embassy Manyata, Hebbal Outer Ring Road, lists 121.76 acres and 17.2 million sq ft for lease, 93% let (owner's data, 30 June 2026). UB City, Vittal Mallya Road, has 16 lakh sq ft built-up, with a luxury mall called The Collection. Nexus lists four Bengaluru malls. Office and mall branding sits beside national labels, so it must look as finished.

Who keeps the trademark register

IP India's website lists a public Trademark Search under "Search Existing Trademarks". We check shortlisted names there for clashes before you commit.

  1. Write the position before any drawing. A logo with nothing behind it gets redrawn, while a position is signed once. A one-page position you sign.
  2. Draw Kannada and English together. Drawn together they match in weight and feel. A Kannada name added later by a sign shop rarely does. Both wordmarks side by side.
  3. Test at real size. A logo that works on a screen can fail on a board seen from a moving car. A mock board, phone screen and lobby wall.
  4. Write the rules down. Good results should repeat, and whoever works on your brand next needs the rules. A brand book, master files and templates.

AI in branding: today and next

Today: early boards

Adobe says Firefly can generate and edit images, video and designs, and offers mood boards. Adobe calls its models "commercially safe", trained on licensed content. We use such tools for early boards. A logo still needs a designer, and rights need checking.

Today: Kannada drafts

Google's Gemini help page lists Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi among supported languages and makes no accuracy claim. Our language partners and a native reader still check every version.

Next

Our view: first drafts of names and looks will keep getting quicker. The position, the two-script check and the fit with the shop board will still need a person. Want us to look at your brand? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of branding in Bangalore.

No price list. These things move the number.

A first logo for a five-person startup differs from a new look for forty shops. Printing and boards are charged at actuals, shown before you approve.

What affects the cost

  • Where you start. A first identity, or a new look to replace an old one.
  • Scripts. Kannada and English only, or more.
  • Shop boards. How many outlets need a 60% rule layout.
  • Naming. A new name, and the trademark classes searched.
  • Employer brand. Careers pages, job posts and office walls.
  • Research. Talks with buyers and recent hires.

How we quote

  1. A call about your buyers, hiring plans and what you have today
  2. A written scope, each piece of work on its own line
  3. A quote within 2 working days, for you to approve

What you get in the quote

  • The position page and who signs it off
  • Name and logo routes, and their scripts
  • What you own at the end: master files, brand book, templates

When you compare quotes, ask who draws the Kannada version: the designer, or the sign shop later?

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team in Bangalore looks after Bangalore clients, backed by our wider team across India. Brand work runs hybrid and remote, and we visit regularly and place the team at your shop or office when a roll-out needs it.

  • It decides how your company should be seen, then makes every place you show up say the same thing: story, name, logo, colours and type. In Bangalore it also makes the Kannada and English versions look like one brand, so buyers know you on a board and on a screen.

  • The rule, passed in February 2024, puts Kannada on 60% of a business signboard, in the upper half. Your English mark sits below, so the logo needs a matching Kannada version. Check current rules with your corporation. General guidance, not legal advice.

  • Yes, if you plan early. We test how the name sounds in each language you need, and a native reader checks every version. We would rather change a name early than reprint a board later. Through our language partners we create content in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi and more.

  • We won't call ourselves the best, and you should doubt anyone who does. Meet two or three agencies. Ask each to show the thinking behind a logo and how they handle Kannada. Pick the one with the sharpest questions about your buyers.

  • Yes. Once the look is set, we carry it into your website, social media and ads. Good launch dates: Kannada Rajyotsava on 1 November (a Sunday in 2026), Deepavali on 8 November, or the Bengaluru Tech Summit on 17 to 19 November. Our in-house team runs launches on the ground.

  • The design work takes about eight to ten weeks. The effect on sales and hiring takes longer. For six months, watch whether people recall your name, whether enquiries and job applications mention it, and whether sales spends less time explaining who you are.
