Hoardings are back in Bengaluru after years of bans and court cases. We help you book the ones that are allowed, on the roads your buyers use.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
In Bengaluru a hoarding is only worth buying if someone has checked who allowed it and until when. PromotEdge picks, checks and books hoardings, metro pillar ads and screens for brands selling in Bengaluru.
So your money goes to sites that have permission and sit on your buyers' daily routes.
OOH (out-of-home) is the trade name for ads seen on the move: a hoarding beside a road, a wrap on a metro pillar, a screen at a mall. You rent the space for a fixed time.
Our servicing team in Bangalore plans with you, and the wider team travels in when a job needs people on site. Delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy.
Our outdoor advertising page shows the method, and the Bangalore page covers the city. Comparing cities? See outdoor advertising in Mumbai or Delhi NCR.
We ask who gave the permission, under which rules, and until when. Pre-2026 approvals get a second look.
Pillar and portal ads returned in 2025. We book them through the current rights holder.
DOOH (digital out-of-home) means screens instead of printed boards. We design calm, still frames.
Kempegowda airport is about 35 km north of the city. Media there and on the road reaches people who fly.
Short lines that read at a glance, written by our language partners in the language your buyers read first.
Dated photos on the day each ad goes up, and a permission check before every renewal.

The short story of hoardings here, from public records read on 4 October 2026.
2018: the court said take them down. After a High Court order, BBMP, the city body then, began pulling hoardings down on 1 August 2018. On 28 August it passed bye-laws banning commercial hoardings in most of the city.
2019: a tug of war. The state put out its own rules and the mayor rejected them. Brands had years of doubt about which boards were legal.
2025: a new city set-up. The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) replaced BBMP from 2 September 2025, with five city corporations. A draft of new city-wide rules followed on 13 November 2025.
13 January 2026: the final rules were notified, under UDD 636 MNU 2025 (P), and took effect at once. We have not read the full text from a source we trust, so this page quotes no size, gap or fee from it.
People here spend hours in transit. Namma Metro ran 96.10 km on three lines with 83 stations when we checked, and the Pink Line was expected around mid-October 2026. It carried a record 10,48,031 trips on 11 August 2025. Bengaluru airport handled 4,44,70,035 passengers in 2025-26. A plan built only on roadside boards misses much of that movement.

Our beliefWe'd rather show you results than a nice presentation.
| When or where | What the record says | What it means for your plan |
|---|---|---|
| July 2025: city bye-laws | Boards only on roads wider than 60 ft or marked commercial or industrial, 200 m apart. Screens: still images, each shown for at least 10 seconds. | Since replaced by the 2026 rules, but they show the kind of limits the city uses. |
| September 2025: metro ads return | BMRCL, which runs Namma Metro, invited tenders for ads on pillars and portals of three lines, after seven years. | We find out who holds the rights before we plan. |
| BIEC and the Tech Summit | BIEC, the exhibition centre on Tumakuru Road, says the Green Line runs from it. The Tech Summit is there on 17-19 November 2026. | Show weeks suit boards and metro ads near the venue and along the route. |
Sources as cited, checked 4 October 2026. July 2025 limits are labelled as past rules. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Where do they live, work and shop? Do they drive, take the metro or fly?
A city corporation, the metro, the airport or a private building. Each grants space its own way.
Permission under the 2026 rules, its end date and the owner's property record. A site without them drops off.
We photograph each face at your buyers' hours. Few words, one picture, the brand name large.
Dated photos on day one. Each board gets its own QR code or phone number, so calls show which sites work.

Deeper reading if you want the research behind the plan.
A SaaS or IT firm books tech corridors and metro stretches. A shop or D2C (online-first) brand books near its stores. A dealer-led maker books roads its dealers use.
Head offices, as reported in August 2025: Central at Hudson Circle, North at Yelahanka, East at Mahadevapura, West at RR Nagar, South at Jayanagar. A site's area tells us which office to check with.

Notification UDD 517 MNU 2025 added brightness limits and automatic dimming for screens, and no commercial ad without an A-Khata. It was a draft, and the January 2026 rules replaced it.

Microsoft says Copilot can turn text prompts into images and refine style and composition, with an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription. Good for rough ideas. Short Kannada lines still go to a native reader.

Our view: drafts will get faster, so the paper check matters more. Want us to look at your plan? Ask us.
No price list. These things move the number.
We quote after a first talk, against a written scope, within 2 working days. Site rent, printing, mounting and travel are passed on at actual cost, and you see each line before you say yes.
When you compare quotes, ask each seller for the site's permission and its end date. A cheap board without papers is a risk.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

Priyam GhoseContent CreatorYou do not need one next door. Our servicing team in Bangalore and the wider team across India stay in touch every day by call and shared screens. Site visits and mounting need people on the ground, so we visit at least once every three months and place the team at the site when a job needs it.
Yes, under the Greater Bengaluru Area (Advertisement) Rules, notified on 13 January 2026. Commercial hoardings had been banned in much of the city since 2018. A board needs permission under the new rules, so ask to see it. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Yes. BMRCL invited tenders for pillar and portal ads in September 2025, after seven years without them. These ads are sold by whoever won the rights, not by the city corporations. We find the current holder and price the stretches your buyers use.
Yes, where the site has permission. The July 2025 bye-laws asked for still images, and the November 2025 draft added brightness limits. We plan calm, still frames and confirm the final terms for each digital screen with the site owner before we book.
The 2024 rule covers the name boards of shops, offices and other businesses: Kannada on 60% of the board, in the upper half. For ad hoardings, check each site's permission terms. Many brands use Kannada and English together anyway, and our language partners write the lines.
Calls from a board's own QR code or phone number can start in the first weeks. Being remembered takes a few weeks of steady display. We review each site after a month or two and renew the ones that brought enquiries. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
We won't claim that, and no one can prove it. Ask each agency for every site's permission, its end date and a dated photo once the ad is up. Ask who will be on site when it goes up. Then ask us the same.
