Websites forAgra's makers and hosts
In Agra, most buyers meet your website long before they meet you. PromotEdge builds sites for makers and hosts that are quick on a phone, clear to a buyer far away and judged on enquiries.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Trade buyers and travellersopen your website first.
A website development company in Agra earns its fee when a far-off stranger trusts a page enough to write. PromotEdge builds sites for makers of shoes and crafts, and for hotels and guides, with design, copy and code in one team.
Picture two visits on one evening. A shop owner in another state compares shoe makers with ten tabs open. A family abroad compares two hotels near the Taj Mahal. Neither has met you. Your website decides whether they write or move on.
Need a website design company in Agra, or developers? With us, design, copy and code sit together, next to the people who run search and ads. So each site is ready for SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up in Google's free results). Every site type is on the national website design and development page, and the wider city on our Agra overview.
Where our team sits and how we review each stage.
How we work with you in Agra
A plain fact first: our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We have worked with Indian brands since 2015. You and we review the site on video calls and a private preview link, and we visit you in Agra at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
- 2015working with Indian brands since
- 65+in-house team: strategy, creative, media and tech
- 4pillars under one roof: strategy, advertising, digital, on-ground activation (BTL)
- 6cities: head office in Kolkata, teams in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar
What we buildfor Agra's sellers.
Export catalogues for shoes
Styles sorted by type, size range and material, with sharp photos and one quote form for several styles.
02Craft catalogues
Close-up photos and care notes for each craft, with sizes listed. A wholesale form for shops, and UPI for retail buyers.
03Booking sites for hotels and guides
A page per room type or tour, with real photos and a phone-friendly booking form. Each page names the nearest sight. WhatsApp is there for guests who prefer to chat.
04Capability sites for factories
Plant, machines, capacity, certificates and industries served, with a drawing upload on the enquiry form.
05Hindi versions of key pages
The pages local buyers read most, written in Hindi by our language partners, not a tool. English stays for buyers abroad.
06Speed work on the site you have
A slow site does not always need a rebuild. We shrink heavy photos, cut unused scripts and test again on a phone.
07A fair page with a QR code
A one-page catalogue for Taj Mahotsav, opened by a QR code on your stall. Visitors leave their details, and your staff call them that week.
Our beliefOur job is to impress your customers, not you.
Five kinds of buyer, five different jobs for one website.
The figures are the district's own, with no year given. Three more kinds of buyer are in the fold below.
1. Shoe buyers compare many makers at once. The district says Agra can make more than 1.5 lakh pairs of shoes a day. A buyer sorts by style and size range, then by smallest order, before writing to anyone. An exporter's site should let them, in clear English.
2. Craft buyers need to see the work close up. About 13,000 people work in zari-zardozi (gold-thread embroidery), in marble and stone carving, or in carpets. A further 116 units export. A buyer who cannot touch the piece decides from photos and sizes, and from the maker's word.
Three more kinds of buyer, each with its source: guests, then factory buyers, then fair visitors.
The Agra market for websites
3. Guests choose a stay before they land. The district names four main sights, and Agra sits on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit between Delhi and Jaipur. Agra airport handled 2,57,031 passengers in 2025-26, up 52.7%. A hotel or guide site must show a stranger the room and the nearest sight, then the rate, and how to book. A booking made on your own site is one you don't share with a travel portal.
4. Small factories sell to purchase teams who check online. The district counts about 12 major and medium units and about 7,200 small units. Buyers check your machines and capacity, and want to see certificates, before they ask a price. Manufacturers should show all of these.
5. A fair can send buyers to your site. Taj Mahotsav puts about 400 artisans in one place for 10 days, Wikipedia says. A visitor who likes your stall may order later. A QR code to a one-page catalogue lets them find you again. The state's One District One Product portal also lists three goods for Agra. The first is marble engraving. The second is leather and footwear. The third is petha, so shops selling these can show them first. Phones come first in every case, and Hindi comes first for local buyers.
What the sources say,and what your site should do.
Agra sells shoes and crafts to buyers far away, and hosts visitors from everywhere. The district's figures carry no year. Show your range and sizes clearly, and put a call or WhatsApp button where a thumb can reach it.

| Agra fact | What the source shows | What it means for your website |
|---|---|---|
| Shoe makers | More than 1.5 lakh pairs a day, from about 60 organised units, 3,000 tiny units and 30,000 household units (district website, no year given). | Many makers look alike online. Show your range and sizes, your smallest order and one quote form. |
| Shoe exports | About 70 export units, and export turnover of about Rs 450 crore (district website, no year given). | English catalogue pages by style. Terms and shipping are in plain words. |
| Handicrafts | About 13,000 people in zari-zardozi, in marble and stone carving, or in carpets. 116 exporting units (district website, no year given). | One page per craft, with close-ups and care notes. |
| Small factories | About 12 major and medium units and about 7,200 small units, making items such as auto parts, textiles, electrical goods, wood, paper and leather products (district website, no year given). | A small unit needs a capability page too: machines, capacity, certificates and a drawing upload. |
| Main sights | The district names four, led by the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. | Name the nearest sight and the distance on each room or tour page. |
| Airport | 2,57,031 passengers from April 2025 to March 2026, up 52.7% from 1,68,362 (Airports Authority of India). | A small airport that is growing. Say how to reach you from it, and from the road to New Delhi. |
| Common facility centre | The state's One District One Product portal lists the J.D. Welfare Society as Agra's common facility centre for its three goods. Status shown: functional. | If you use a shared facility, say so on the page. It tells a buyer how your goods are made. |
| The craft fair | Taj Mahotsav runs 10 days at Shilpgram, with about 400 artisans (Wikipedia). Past editions ran in February. We found no 2027 dates. | A one-page catalogue behind a stall QR code. Build it before the dates are fixed. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. District figures carry no year on the district's website, so each is the district's own claim. The Wikipedia row is there because no official page was found. Bodies are named as part of the city, not as clients or partners. The steps below show how these facts shape your build.
Six steps, with your buyer checked at each one.
Steps 3 to 6 are in the fold below.
- 01
Name the buyer and the action (week 1)
On a video call we agree who the site is for, and the one action that counts, such as a quote request or a room booking.
- 02
A page list you sign off
Every page and product group goes on one list, with its languages. Design starts only after you approve it.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
Steps 3 to 6: photos and words, the preview link, launch and growing from there.
How the work runs in Agra
3. Photos and words
Shoes and crafts sell on close-up photos. Use our phone-photo guide, or we plan an Agra shoot, run by our in-house team with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them. Your sales staff check the copy for sizes and rates, and for terms.
4. Build on a preview link
Your staff test every form. A quote request should reach the right inbox or WhatsApp number within a minute.
5. Launch with logins in your name
Your company owns the domain and the hosting, and holds the admin logins. Old page addresses are forwarded.
6. Start small, then grow
We often launch the section that earns most first, such as the catalogue or the room pages. After a month we read which pages bring quote requests, then build the rest.
What changes the cost of a website in Agra.
We don't publish a price list. After a first call we write the scope down, then quote against it. Domain, hosting, booking tools and gateway charges are billed at actuals, in your company's name.
How we quote
- A video call about the site's job: export quotes, room bookings or factory enquiries
- We open your current site on a phone and list what stops a buyer
- A written scope: pages, products, languages, photos and tools to connect
- A written quote within 2 working days of the first call. Hosting and booking tools sit on their own lines
What you get in the quote
- Every page type, and how many styles, pieces, rooms or tours go live at launch
- Which pages get a Hindi version, and who writes them
- The photo plan: your photos with our guide, or an Agra shoot
- The forms and the WhatsApp number, and who receives each one
- Domain and hosting logins registered to your company
How it is billed
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Fixed-scope build | A new site, catalogue or rebuild, paid in agreed stages; usually 4 to 6 weeks, timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Fair add-on | A one-page catalogue for Taj Mahotsav, scoped on its own |
| Monthly upkeep | New stock and rates, plus updates and backups, with speed checks; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
Five things that move the quote, and what to check when quotes differ.
What changes the cost in Agra
Catalogue size. Fifty shoe styles with sizes take more set-up than a five-page company site.
Who must trust it. Trade buyers need different pages from hotel guests or purchase teams.
Languages. English only, or Hindi versions of key pages as well.
Photos. Your own phone photos with our guide, or a planned Agra shoot.
Deadline. A site needed before Taj Mahotsav leaves less room for changes.
When Agra quotes differ a lot, the gap is usually the catalogue size, the photos or the Hindi pages. Ask each firm to list those three, and to put the domain in your name. We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.
What happensafter you ask.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. Calls, reviews and staff training happen online, and we speak daily. We come to Agra every three months or sooner, and when a shoot or launch needs it. A team member can also work from your site.

Styles by type and material, with size ranges and clear photos. Your smallest order, and your terms and delivery, in plain words. One quote form for several styles, sent to a person who replies the same day. Trade rates can sit behind a login for approved buyers. Tell us who buys from you, and we plan the pages around them.

If local buyers matter to you, yes, for the pages they read most. Buyers abroad and trade partners need English. A hotel or a craft shop may need both. An export house may not. Our language partners write pages in Hindi and English, plus other languages such as French or Spanish for guests and buyers abroad.

Show the nearest sight and its distance, real room photos, what the rate includes, and a booking form that works with one thumb. Add a WhatsApp button for guests who prefer to chat. Test it on a basic phone before launch. Every booking made on your own site is one you don't share with a travel portal.

A focused site takes 4 to 6 weeks to build. Wikipedia lists past editions of the fair in February, and we found no 2027 dates. So send photos and product details, plus rates, by early December for a February launch. A large rebuild suits the weeks after the fair better.

Ask each firm for a site it built for a business like yours, and an enquiry that site brought. Ask how heavy its home page is on a phone, whose name the domain will be in, and who writes the Hindi. Pick the plainest answers.
