Turn enquiries into paid trips, season after season.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A traveller pays for a trip they can't see, so the company that answers first and feels safest gets the booking. PromotEdge plans marketing around seasons and the cities your travellers come from, for tour operators, travel agencies, destination management companies (DMCs) and tourism boards.
The aim: more enquiries that end in a paid trip, not just more enquiries. We have worked with clients across India since 2015.
Tour operators build and sell their own packages. A DMC is the local team that arranges hotels, cabs and guides in one place, mostly for agents elsewhere. A feeder market is a city your travellers set out from, and each one plans at its own time.
The wider hospitality marketing picture and the channel plan by season have their own pages.
Search ads on destination and package searches.
Google AdsGoogleYouTubePages that answer real questions and take enquiries.
SEO (search engine optimisation) for package pages AI assistants can quote.
GoogleOne shared number, with reminders for every enquiry.
WhatsAppCreators who actually do the trip, every post labelled.
InstagramYouTubeFilms of real departures, for YouTube and agents.
YouTubeReach agents, HR heads and MICE buyers.
LinkedInStall design for travel fairs and agent meets.
Press coverage for a destination or a tour brand.
Tick what you already have. The rest is where we can help.
Find your row. Most clients start with one and add more once the numbers are in. We believe in process.
| Your business | Where we would start | What we count | Services involved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tour operator with its own packages | Package pages that answer real questions, then search ads timed to each feeder market. | Advances paid, by source and package | Google Ads, Website design |
| Travel agency for families and companies | Your Google listing, reviews, and past travellers on WhatsApp and email, with consent. | Repeat bookings and referrals | WhatsApp marketing, Email marketing |
| DMC selling to agents | An agent kit, LinkedIn outreach to agents in your source markets, a stall at trade fairs, and fam trips. | Agent enquiries that become bookings | LinkedIn lead generation |
| State or destination tourism board | One clear idea for the place, campaigns in feeder states, creators and press coverage. | Partner bookings and arrivals, by feeder state | Brand strategy |
Each month you see enquiries, quotes, advances and trips travelled, by source.
Travellers pay for a trip they cannot see, so trust and a fast reply decide the booking. A few price and approval rules apply.
A written Rajya Sabha reply of 12 December 2024 said the Ministry of Tourism recognises travel trade service providers through a voluntary scheme, and listed 1,405. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 cover services sold online, and ask for one total price with a breakup.

Our view: travellers send one request to four or five companies, read reviews, and pay an advance to the one that replies first and feels safe. They drop out when the price changes late, or when nobody answers at night.
You can show your approval if you hold it, answer within the hour, and write the full package price on the page. Ministry approval is not ours to give. We cannot make a destination or a season busier.
We read two seasons of enquiries, quotes and advances first, because the leaks show where to start. We add dates, group size and budget to every form, because that sorts serious from curious. We count advances paid, because an enquiry that never travels costs the most.
IATO: the Indian Association of Tour Operators calls itself the national apex body of India's tourism industry. It has member categories and annual conventions.
ASCI: an independent, voluntary self-regulatory organisation for advertising. Its influencer rules cover creator trips.

Busy season three months away? Let's plan which feeder market gets the first ads. Plan the first market
“We get hundreds of enquiries in season, and most go quiet after the quote.”
Ask dates, travellers and budget on every form. A CRM (software that tracks each enquiry) reminds your team to follow up.
“People ask if we are genuine before they pay an advance.”
Show the proof: your registered address, the team's faces and photos from real departures. Our online reputation work keeps reviews coming.
“We are a DMC. Our buyers are agents in other cities, not travellers.”
Build an agent kit of rate sheets and sample itineraries, then reach agents on LinkedIn and on fam trips (free familiarisation visits).
“Our enquiries sit on three personal phones, and chats leave when staff do.”
Move them to one shared WhatsApp number and a CRM.
Do enquiries go quiet at the quote, or after it? Tell us, and we'll tell you where we'd look first. Show us where
Our beliefOur job is to impress your customers, not you.
We don't publish a price list. We quote against a written scope. Ad spend, creator trips and fair costs are billed at actuals.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Season campaign | One destination or season (timeline confirmed in the quote) |
| Monthly retainer | Pages, ads, content and the report (minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop) |
We check these rules before anything goes live.
Ministry of Tourism approval. The Ministry recognises tour operators and travel agents through a voluntary scheme. A Rajya Sabha reply of 12 December 2024 listed 1,405. Show approval only if you hold it.
Creator trips. ASCI (the Advertising Standards Council of India) counts trips as a material connection. The label goes up front, not in hashtags. On a video of 15 seconds to 2 minutes, it stays for a third of it.
Prices and urgency. The CCPA (Central Consumer Protection Authority) listed 13 dark patterns in 2023, including drip pricing and false urgency. Show the full package price early.
Selling online. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 ask for a total price in one figure with a breakup, no pre-ticked add-ons, and complaints acknowledged within 48 hours.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupIt plans and runs the work that turns interest into paid trips. Marketing for tourism covers package pages, ads, creators, reviews, agent outreach and fairs. It also covers the follow-up after an enquiry, where most bookings are won or lost, and it counts advances paid.
It depends on who buys from you, your packages and feeder markets, and how much is shot on location. We don't publish a price list. After a free 30-minute call we send a one-page plan, and a written quote follows within 2 working days. SEO usually takes 3 to 6 months. We confirm other timelines in the quote.
Offer both, and track both. A form gets dates, group size and budget up front. WhatsApp lets you reply freely for 24 hours after a traveller messages you. After that, you can only send pre-approved message templates. So answer fast, and keep a person ready behind any chatbot.
The Ministry's approval is a voluntary scheme. It can still help, because travellers look for proof that you are real. Never claim an approval you don't hold. Check any state rules for your kind of business separately. General guidance, not legal advice.
A DMC runs the ground work in one destination, and sells mostly to agents and tour operators elsewhere. So it markets like a business-to-business firm: an agent kit, fast quotes, fam trips, trade fairs and LinkedIn. Travellers' reviews still matter, because agents check them.
