A shopper in Pune wants to see the chikan stitch up close before paying. PromotEdge builds websites and online stores for Lucknow's founders, chikankari houses and food brands. Fast on a basic phone, clear to a stranger, and judged on orders and enquiries.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A buyer in a nearby district may be on weak signal, so a heavy page can lose the sale before it opens. As a website development company for Lucknow, PromotEdge plans, writes and builds sites and online stores for startups, chikankari makers and food brands, so that more visitors order or enquire.
Who opens your site in a typical month? A pilot customer in Bengaluru, checking that your startup is real. A shopper in Pune who wants to see the chikan stitch up close before paying. A family in Gomti Nagar ordering food for a party. Each one decides on a phone, often within a minute.
What you make, who it helps, who runs the company, and a demo request. Clear to an incubator panel in two minutes.

Menus as plain text that load fast, delivery areas, shelf life for packed items, and gift boxes that ship out of the city.
A language switch on the pages buyers use most. Urdu pages read right to left, so the layout flips too. Our language partners write the Hindi and Urdu, and we test each font on a basic phone.
For IT firms, vendors and suppliers chasing projects in UP: capabilities, certificates, past work and a profile to download.
06Already have a site? We test it on mobile data and fix the slowest parts first. Sometimes that is enough.
We know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business.
Each fact points to a different kind of site. Two facts are below, and two more are in the fold.
1. A huge state audience, mostly on phones. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 152.67 million internet subscribers in Uttar Pradesh at the end of March 2026. That is 62.82 connections per 100 people, and only about 39 per 100 in villages. So a buyer in a nearby district may be on weak signal. We set how heavy each page may be before design starts, then test it on a basic phone.
2. Craft and food that people search for by name. Chikankari, Lucknow's hand embroidery, got a GI tag in December 2008, Wikipedia notes. A GI (geographical indication) tag is a legal label that ties a product to its home. The airport's Terminal 3 opened on 10 March 2024 with lit-up chikankari patterns at check-in. In 2025 UNESCO named Lucknow a Creative City of Gastronomy, for its Awadhi food. A shopper in Mumbai will check your site before paying. It must show the work up close and say how it ships.
Two more of the four facts that shape a Lucknow website brief, with their sources.
3. Founders with state support. Uttar Pradesh had 21,960+ startups recognised by DPIIT, the central department that certifies them, by 31 March 2026. Inc42 reports that put the state third in India. The state's StartInUP portal shows ₹5,11,66,000 paid for prototypes and ₹81,22,250 as sustenance allowance, money that helps founders live while they build. These are state totals, not Lucknow counts. Either way, an incubator panel or a first customer opens your site before meeting you. It must explain the product in one minute.
4. Investment promises, and the projects that follow. The UP Global Investors Summit in Lucknow, February 2023, drew about ₹33 lakh crore of MoUs (signed promises to invest, not money spent). On 19 February 2024, 14,000 projects worth over ₹10 lakh crore were launched across the state, as reported. IT and ITeS (IT-enabled services, such as back-office work) were among the sectors. Vendors chasing that work get checked online first. Clear capability pages matter more than a flashy home page. Think creative. Act on numbers.
Uttar Pradesh has about 63 internet connections for every 100 people, and people in Lucknow use Hindi and Urdu. Keep pages light, with a call or WhatsApp button that loads first. Say which areas you deliver to, so you get fewer wasted calls.
| Lucknow fact | What the record shows | What your website should do |
|---|---|---|
| Internet use (Uttar Pradesh) | 152.67 million internet subscribers in March 2026, or 62.82 per 100 people (TRAI). | Light pages, menus as text, and a call or WhatsApp button that loads first. |
| Lucknow district | 45,89,838 people in Census 2011, with 961 villages, 5 tehsils and 8 blocks. The city corporation area alone had 28,17,105. | Say which areas you deliver to. A delivery-area page saves wasted calls. |
| Languages | The district site says Hindi and Urdu are spoken. | Hindi for many family buyers, Urdu where buyers read it, English for buyers outside UP. |
| Startups (Uttar Pradesh) | 21,960+ DPIIT-recognised startups and 2,11,580+ direct jobs as of 31 March 2026, third after Maharashtra and Karnataka (Inc42). | A product page, a team page and a demo request. Often enough for a first pitch. |
| StartInUP | 88 recognised incubators and 7 approved Centres of Excellence (no date shown). The 2020 policy aims for 100 incubators, at least one per district. | If an incubator backs you, say so, with its permission. A named backer builds trust. |
| Chikankari | GI tag in December 2008 (Wikipedia). Chikankari and mukaish patterns on Terminal 3's check-in counters (airport operator). | Sharp close-ups, fabric details, size charts and wash care on every product page. |
| Awadhi food | UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, 2025. 58 cities joined on World Cities Day 2025, taking the network to 408. | Menus, delivery areas, shelf life for packed items, and an order button that opens WhatsApp. |
| Summit and ground-breaking | About ₹33 lakh crore of promises in February 2023. In February 2024, 14,000 projects worth over ₹10 lakh crore were launched across UP, as reported. | Vendor and capability pages, certificates and a profile a project buyer can download. |
| Airport | 60,65,957 passengers in 2025-26, down 5.8%. 11,52,003 of them flew international (Airports Authority of India). | Hotels, caterers and gift sellers get searched by visitors. Booking must work on a phone. |
| Lucknow Mahotsav | A ten-day art and culture festival, held every year in late November-December (Wikipedia). | A season page for festival offers, live a few weeks before. We found no official 2026 dates. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Internet, startup and investment figures are for all of Uttar Pradesh; investment figures are promises, as reported. Wikipedia rows are secondary. Places and bodies are named as part of the city, not as clients.
The full steps are in the fold below.
We ask what one order is worth to you, then open your current site on a basic phone together.
Every page, product group and language goes on one sheet. You approve it before design starts.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
How we work with you, and all six steps from the first call to the numbers.
A plain fact first: our servicing team is based in cities across India. Your site is planned and built online, in hybrid mode, on video calls and a shared preview link.
A website design company in Lucknow and a developer are one team here, so you get both. Every site type we build is on the national website design and development page. The city's wider picture is on our Lucknow overview.
We don't publish a price list. After a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, we write the scope down and quote against it. Domain, hosting, store apps and payment gateway costs are billed at actuals, in your company's name.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Fixed-scope project | A new site, store or rebuild, paid in stages you approve; usually 4 to 6 weeks, timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Monthly upkeep | Stock, price and menu changes, updates, backups and speed checks; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Fix first | A speed and clarity fix on your current site, before you decide on a new one; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Three more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
Photos. Your own phone photos with our guide, or a planned shoot in Lucknow.
Selling online. UPI, cards, cash on delivery and shipping rates by pin code.
Who must be convinced. A local family, an incubator panel and a project buyer need different pages.
Comparing quotes? Check the products loaded at launch, the Hindi and Urdu pages, the photos, and who owns the domain.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and your site is built by our in-house team of 65+, mostly online in hybrid mode. We stay in touch daily, and visit you in Lucknow at least once every three months, or sooner for a shoot. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
Yes, if your buyers read them. Our language partners write them, and our team checks each on a phone before launch. Many Lucknow families prefer Hindi. Urdu runs right to left, so the layout flips as well as the words. Buyers in other states usually want English. Start with your busiest pages, not every page on day one.
Not on day one. A marketplace brings new buyers, but they stay the marketplace's customers. Your own site lets past buyers come back to you and shows the story of each piece. Start with a catalogue and a WhatsApp order button. Add a full store once repeat orders grow.
A new website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Speed and clarity fixes can lift orders from your existing visitors within weeks. New visitors from Google need SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up in Google's free results), which takes months. We report orders and enquiries monthly.
The Mahotsav is held every year in late November-December, and we found no official 2026 dates. If you start in October or later, a full store is a tight fit. A festival page or a small catalogue can be ready, if your photos and prices are. For the 2027 festival, start by June 2027.
We can't promise that, because each scheme has its own rules. The StartInUP portal lists money paid out as "seed capital or marketing help", beside sustenance allowance and prototype support. Ask your incubator whether a website counts in your case.
