Names, logos, fabric tags, sweet boxes and office looks for Surat firms that want to sell a name, not only a product. So buyers remember who made it.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Surat firms make goods that travel far, yet the final buyer often sees someone else's label. PromotEdge builds names, logos, packs and office looks for diamond houses, textile traders and sweet makers.
The aim: buyers remember who made the goods and come back asking for you.
What does a branding agency do? It decides what buyers should think when they hear your name. Then it makes every place they meet you say that one thing. In Surat, that means a fabric tag, a swatch book (a folder of cloth samples), a sweet box and an office door in the Bourse. Our national branding and identity page lists each piece of work.
Many firms here grew by trading. Say you polish stones for other houses, or sell cloth by the metre to wholesalers. The work is good, but it reaches the final buyer under someone else's label. So you are judged on rate, and the margin goes to the name on the box.
What branding is for, and how our team works with you.
Branding is the move from selling harder to being wanted. Selling harder means deeper discounts and longer credit. Being wanted means buyers ask for your name and accept your price. We'd start small: the new label on one range for one season. What can't be measured can't be achieved. If shops reorder at your price, roll it out. If not, we fix it before you spend on the rest.
We have worked since 2015, and our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode: calls and shared folders carry the research and design. We visit to meet you and review the work. Fitting a board or a stall needs hands on site, and every quote says whose. Our Surat overview explains how we serve the city.
A one-page promise: who buys from you, and why they should pay a little more. Design starts after you sign it.
02Both scripts drawn as one matched pair, so your shop board and export carton look like one firm. The Gujarati wording comes from our language partners.

Gift boxes and labels for ghari or khaman, with the legal details for food packs planned in early.
05Door signs, reception walls and display cases that introduce you before the first meeting. Fitting is handled through the same partner, with other agencies where a job needs them.

Our beliefWe'd rather show you results than a nice presentation.
Four public facts change what we design first for a Surat firm. Three are in the fold below.
The Bourse puts small and large houses under one roof. The Prime Minister opened the Surat Diamond Bourse on 17 December 2023, says the government's press office (PIB). In August 2023, Guinness World Records called it the "world's largest office building". Those are Guinness's words, not ours. The Bourse's own site lists 4,700+ offices, sized from 300 to 115,000 sq ft. So a small office may sit near far bigger names. Its door must say who you are at a glance.
Three more public facts: the retail jewellery mall, cloth by the metre, and the city's own names and food.
A retail jewellery mall is planned. PIB says the Bourse plans a "Jewelry mall for retail jewelry business" inside the complex. It is a plan, not an open mall. Still, houses that sold only to traders may one day face shoppers. That needs a retail jewellery name and packs, not just a trade logo.
Cloth sold by the metre, in huge volumes. SGCCI says about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from Surat. Man-made fabric is cloth woven from fibres like polyester. SGCCI is the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, active since 1940. It also counts more than 75,000 shops in the city's textile markets. With that many sellers, buyers compare rates unless a name gives them another reason.
A city with its own names and its own food. The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), the city's elected local government, calls Surat "The Silk City", "The Diamond City" and "The Green City". The district site lists locho, ghari, khaman and undhiyu among its famous foods. The Indian Express called ghari "native to Surat". A sweet shop known for ghari already has a story people trust. Branding turns it into a box that travels as a gift. Here is the work that follows.
Surat calls itself the Silk City and the Diamond City. Even its planned bullet train station is designed with a diamond shape, so a diamond logo will not set you apart. Give buyers one reason to pick you that is only yours.
| Topic | The public record | Our brand advice |
|---|---|---|
| Surat Diamond Bourse | Opened 17 December 2023. PIB calls it the "World's largest and most modern center for international diamond and jewelry business". | Plan for buyers from abroad: English first on the card and catalogue. |
| Bourse offices | 4,700+ offices in 9 towers, from 300 to 115,000 sq ft (the Bourse's own site). | Make a small office readable from the corridor: one sign, one strong colour. |
| Man-made fabric | SGCCI says about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from Surat (undated page). | Give buyers a reason to pick your label other than the rate per metre. |
| SITEX '26 | The 15th Surat International Textile Expo, 19 to 21 December 2026, at SIECC, with "More than 100 Exhibitors" (SGCCI). | Stall, swatch book and catalogue should share one look. |
| The city's names | SMC calls Surat "The Silk City", "The Diamond City" and "The Green City". | Use the city's name if it helps. Then add one reason that is only yours. |
| Bullet train station | The bullet train company (NHSRCL) says the station "has the diamond shape in the elevation and ceilings". The line was under construction on 4 October 2026. | If even the station is a diamond, a diamond logo won't set you apart. |
| Chandi Padvo | Every year, the day after Sharad Poornima: ghari and bhusu under the full moon (The Indian Express, 2020). | A fixed day for a sweet brand's special box. Design it months ahead, not days. |

Steps 3 to 6 are in the fold below.
A tag, a box, a visiting card and photos of your office or shop. Then a video call with the owner.
Short calls with a few buyers you pick, such as a wholesaler. We note the words they use about you.
Steps 3 to 6: the one reason, real things, colour and size tests, and the hand-over.
One page on why a buyer should pay for your name. We draw nothing until you agree it.
Two or three design routes, each shown on your own tag, box and office door.
Colours checked on cloth and card, under shop lights and in daylight.
Brand book, master files and templates, ready for whoever prints your tags and fits your boards.
We don't list fees online. Redrawing your logo in Gujarati is a small job. A new saree label with tags, swatch books and a fair stall is a big one. So we quote after a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, against a written scope.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| One project | Promise, name and identity, quoted once for an agreed list; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Step by step | Strategy first; tags, boxes and sites quoted when you are ready; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Five things that move the quote, and what to ask when you compare quotes.
Trade or retail. A trade-only name needs less than a retail label with tags and boxes.
How many products carry it. Each cloth range, box size or sweet line adds a design.
Kept name or new name. A name the market already trusts costs less than a new one with trademark checks.
Scripts. English only, or Gujarati and English drawn as a pair.
Places to brand. A Bourse office, a shop board or a SITEX stall each add design and fitting.
Comparing quotes? Ask each agency to show the logo on your smallest tag and your biggest board before you pay for the full kit.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.
An in-house team of 65+ serves Surat clients, with a servicing team based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We talk daily and meet in Surat at least once every three months. For site work, such as a Bourse office fit-out, a team member works from your site, named in the quote.
We won't claim that, and nobody can honestly prove it. We're professionals. We'd rather be blunt than pleasing. Try this test instead. Give each agency your current tag or box and ask what it says to a buyer. Notice who asks about your margins first. Ask who will do the work.
Maybe not yet. If buyers choose only on rate and your margin is fine, a brand may not pay back. It starts to pay when you sell finished sarees under your own label, to shops whose customers ask for names. We'll tell you which side you are on.
Show three things, in this order. Your name, readable from the corridor. What you sell, in one line. A reason to trust you, such as your years in the trade. PIB calls the Bourse a centre for international business, so lead with English, with Gujarati alongside. Our language partners can add French, Japanese, Mandarin and more for visiting buyers.
Most Surat firms need both. The district site says the city mostly speaks "Surti Gujrati". A market counter may lead with Gujarati, an exporter with English. We draw both as one name, and our language partners check the Gujarati. Selling in Ahmedabad too? Our Ahmedabad branding page covers that city's sign rules.
Only if you start about ten weeks ahead. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, and Bestu Varsh, the Gujarati New Year, on 10 November. A full identity needs about ten weeks. A festive sleeve for your current box can fit a shorter run. Launch the full look later, for Uttarayan on 14 January or Chandi Padvo.
