Surat celebrates in public.Your feed can join in.

Surat's year runs on festivals and food, and a feed that ignores them looks like it belongs to another city. PromotEdge plans your posts around the city's own calendar, edits Reels (short vertical videos), answers comments and runs paid posts.

We do it for Surat sweet shops, food brands, textile traders, jewellers and clinics, so that followers start to call, visit and order.

How we work with you: we have worked since 2015, and our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode, and every draft waits on a shared calendar for your yes. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

This page covers only what is different about Surat. Our method for any brand is on the national social media marketing page, and the city as a whole is on our Surat overview. First, the six things we would study.

  • 2015working with Indian brands since
  • 65+in-house team: strategy, creative, media and tech
  • 4pillars under one roof: strategy, advertising, digital, on-ground activation (BTL)
  • 6cities: head office in Kolkata, teams in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar

/ 03 Social media in Surat

Six things about Surat that change a content plan.

Each is from a public record, and each changes what, when or where you and we post.

People here speak Surti. The district administration says most of the city speaks "Surti Gujrati". Its language list also names Hindi, Sindhi, Marwari, Marathi, Telugu and Oriya. So a sweet shop's offer may go out in Gujarati, while an export pitch stays in English.

The year runs on festivals. The district calls Navratri "the most important festival", with garba and dandiya raas. It says Uttarayan, on 14 January, is kept "with great pomp and gaiety". A calendar website puts Navratri's 2026 start on 11 October. The state holiday list, as reported, puts Dussehra on 20 October 2026.

Four more public facts: Chandi Padvo, food, the city's pride in how it looks and trading for other traders.

The Surat market for social media

One night belongs only to Surat. On Chandi Padvo, the day after Sharad Poornima, Surtis eat ghari, a rich sweet, and bhusu, a savoury mix, under the full moon. Many go to Dumas or Ubhrat beach, The Indian Express explained in 2020. One sweet maker guessed that nearly 150 tonnes of ghari goes that night. That is one trader's estimate, not an official count. No 2026 date is sourced, so we check the local calendar.

Food is the favourite subject. The district lists locho, ghari, Surati khaman, petis, undhiyu and sarasiya khaja among local foods, and calls Surti food "quite spicy". For restaurants, sweet shops and farsan makers, a ten-second clip of locho being served can beat any poster.

The city is proud of how it looks. The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), the city's elected local government, lists a "Cleanest City of India" award from Swachh Survekshan 2023. That is the central government's cleanliness survey. In August 2023, Guinness World Records called the Surat Diamond Bourse the "world's largest office building". The bullet train station, under construction on 4 October 2026, has a diamond shape in its front and ceilings, says the bullet train company. Posts that share this pride feel local; stock photos never do.

Much of Surat sells to other traders. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) lists 14,500+ direct members. SGCCI says about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from Surat. Bulk buyers deal with people they trust. For fabric traders, diamond firms and jewellers selling to shops, LinkedIn and WhatsApp often carry that trust better than Instagram. Below is how we'd turn all six into weekly work.

Our beliefWe believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 04 Surat, by the record

Dates and placeswe plan a Surat feed around.

Surat's feed year has set dates, such as Navratri in October and Uttarayan on 14 January. Pick the next date and plan one post for it, such as a snack Reel for the nine nights.

/ 05 How a Surat account starts

From a first callto the first festival post.

After a 30-minute first call, a written quote follows within 2 working days, and nothing starts until you approve it. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Steps 3 to 6 are in the fold below.

  1. 01

Week 1: a call about your buyers

Who buys, from which parts of Surat, and which festivals sell. If ads would do more than posts, you hear it up front.

  2. 02

Weeks 1 and 2: your feed beside your rivals

Your pages next to two Surat businesses your buyers follow, with three fixes in writing.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

Weeks 2 to 3 and every week: words and voice, the shot list, posting and replying, and the monthly count.

How the work runs in Surat

We don't copy another brand's plan. We test a few kinds of post, see which bring messages, then put more behind those. We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

Week 2: words and voice

Gujarati, Hindi or English for each kind of post. Our team briefs the language partners who write it, then checks the tone.

Week 3: the shot list

Clips from your kitchen, shop floor or warehouse. Staff can film many on a phone. For a shoot day, our in-house team brings the crew, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them.

Every week: post, reply, boost

Posts go out after your approval, and messages get answers on working days. Proven posts get a small, agreed ad budget.

Every month: count and cut

Calls, chats and orders beside the spend. What brings no business is dropped, and we say why.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of social media marketing in Surat.

We don't publish a price list. After a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, we write the scope down and quote against it, line by line. Ad money goes to Meta at actual cost, and you approve each budget first.

How we quote

  1. A 30-minute call about your buyers and your busiest weeks
  2. A written look at your pages beside two Surat rivals
  3. A scope on paper: platforms, Reels a month, languages, shoot days, reply hours
  4. A line-by-line written quote within 2 working days of the first call; work starts only after your yes

What you get in the quote

  • Platforms, and posts and Reels a month on each
  • The Gujarati, Hindi and English split, and who checks it
  • Festival and fair weeks covered, from Navratri to SITEX
  • Shoot days in Surat, and who films
  • Ad budget on its own line

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Monthly retainerCalendar, Reels, replies and paid posts, reviewed every month; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
Festive-season pushA fixed scope from Navratri to Bestu Varas, or around a fair; timeline confirmed in the quote
Plan and hand overA 90-day plan that your own staff then run; timeline confirmed in the quote

Five things that move the quote, and what to compare across quotes.

What changes the cost in Surat

Languages. Gujarati, Hindi and English captions each need writing and checking.

The festival stretch. Navratri, then Dussehra, Diwali and Bestu Varas, need more posts and faster replies than a quiet month.

Who films. Phone clips from your staff cost less than a shoot day in Surat with travel.

Platforms. LinkedIn alone for a fabric trader is lighter than three apps for a busy sweet shop.

Fair weeks. SITEX or another trade fair adds posts before, during and after.

Compare the same work across quotes. How many Reels a month? Who checks the Gujarati? Who films in Surat? Is GST included, and is ad money inside the quote or apart? The questions below cover offices, Gujarati and timing.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ plans and edits your posts. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. You hear from us daily, and we come to Surat to meet you at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

  • Yes, in Gujarati, through our language partners. The district says most of the city speaks Surti Gujarati. Offers and festival wishes usually land better in Gujarati; buyer pitches may need English, or French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese or Korean for buyers abroad. A fluent speaker checks every Gujarati caption first.

  • A big campaign with a shoot needs weeks, so a late start is tight. A calendar website puts the start on 11 October 2026. Greetings, offers and simple Reels from phone clips can be made at short notice. Diwali on 8 November 2026 and Bestu Varas on 10 November 2026 leave more room.

  • It picks the apps your buyers use and what to say on each. It writes posts, edits Reels, replies and runs paid posts, then shows which brought calls or orders. A sweet shop may need Instagram and WhatsApp; a fabric trader, LinkedIn and WhatsApp.

  • Nobody can honestly claim that, us included. Ask each agency for a past monthly report with the client's name hidden. Ask who writes your Gujarati, and what happens to your pages if you leave. Shortlist whoever answers plainly, and can show proof.

  • Often your own staff, on a phone, with our shot list, and we do the editing. A sweet maker can film ghari getting its ghee coat in a minute. A planned shoot in Surat is done by our in-house team, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them.
