Catalogue and enquiry websites for Surat's textile, diamond and export firms, built by a servicing team based in cities across India. Send a new buyer one link, not fifty photos.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Surat's textile and diamond firms sell to people they may never meet, so the website does the first meeting. PromotEdge builds catalogue and enquiry sites for textile wholesalers, diamond traders and exporters, so that distant buyers see your range and ask for a quote.
Design and development are two halves of one job. Design is what the buyer sees: the weave, the colour, the stone. Development is the engine under it: speed, forms, security and a CMS (content management system, the panel where your staff add designs without a developer).
One page per design: fabric, width, colours, minimum order and the number your staff quote on calls. Buyers ask about many designs in one enquiry.
Rates stay hidden from the public and from rivals. Approved retailers and agents log in to see prices and new arrivals.
The stones and shapes you deal in, the certificates you use, and a private quote form instead of open prices.
Plain English, a +91 number with WhatsApp, the countries you ship to and a sample request form that works from anywhere.
For SITEX and other SGCCI fairs: a page for the range on your stall, opened by a QR code. Visitors leave details there, not on paper slips.
Gujarati pages for local retailers and families, English for buyers outside Gujarat, each at its own web address. Our language partners write the Gujarati.
A share button on every design, so staff send a link in seconds. Each enquiry shows which design it came from.
08For traders selling sarees or dress material under their own name: UPI, cash on delivery and WhatsApp order updates.
09For firms selling to the plants and port at Hazira: machines, approvals and past jobs, in the order a buyer reads them.
The sources are public and dated. The advice after each one is our view. Two facts are below, and two more are in the fold.
1. A fabric city, shopped on a screen. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) says about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from Surat. Its undated About page also counts more than 75,000 shops in the city's textile markets. With that many sellers, a retailer in Jaipur can pick anyone. When they ask to see your new range, send one catalogue link instead of fifty photos.
2. A home for the diamond trade since 2023. The Prime Minister opened the Surat Diamond Bourse on 17 December 2023. The government's release calls it the "World's largest and most modern center for international diamond and jewelry business". The Bourse's own site lists 4700+ offices. A trading firm there often sells to people it has never met. Its site must show what it deals in and how to ask for a price, without public rates.
Two more of the four facts behind every Surat site we plan, with their sources.
3. Buyers abroad are a short flight away. Surat's airport became international on 17 December 2023, when its new terminal opened. At the opening, the Prime Minister spoke of the Surat-Dubai flight starting and a Hong Kong flight coming soon. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) counted 2,07,690 international passengers at Surat in 2025-26, up 31.1%. A buyer abroad checks your site before booking the trip.
4. Gujarat is online, on fast connections. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 62.78 million internet subscribers in Gujarat state at the end of March 2026. In towns that is 111.08 connections per 100 people, and nearly all of TRAI's Gujarat circle is on broadband. So buyers expect your catalogue to open at once on a phone. The sites below are planned around these four facts.
Surat mostly speaks Gujarati, and about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from here, a local chamber of commerce says. Make the website phone first, with Gujarati for local buyers and English for others. Give each design its own page and compress every fabric photo.
| Surat fact | What the source says | What it means for your website |
|---|---|---|
| Language | The district site says the city mostly speaks "Surti Gujrati". It also lists Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Oriya and others. | Gujarati for local buyers, English for buyers elsewhere. |
| Man-made fabric | SGCCI says about 60% of India's man-made fabric comes from Surat (undated). | A page per design, fabric filters and the minimum order up front. |
| Diamond Bourse | Opened 17 December 2023, 4700+ offices in 9 towers. A "Jewelry mall for retail jewelry business" is planned inside. | Quote forms, not public rates. Retail pages for when the mall opens. |
| Export zones | SGCCI says Surat is "the only city in India which has 3 SEZs" (special economic zones, tax-friendly areas for exporters). Undated. | Shipping terms, papers you can supply and a sample request form. |
| Hazira | AM/NS India lists steel and power plants at Hazira. Adani's Hazira Port has five working berths. | Capability pages a purchase officer can check in minutes. |
| Airport | 18,14,572 passengers in 2025-26, up 5.2%; 2,07,690 of them international (AAI). | Country codes, WhatsApp and reply hours for buyers abroad. |
| Internet in Gujarat | 84.67 internet subscribers per 100 people in the state, end of March 2026 (TRAI). | Phone first. Compress every fabric photo before it goes live. |
| SGCCI | Serving South Gujarat's industry since 1940, with "14,500+ Direct Members". | If you are a member, say so, and ask if its directory can link to you. |
| SITEX '26 | The 15th Surat International Textile Expo, 19 to 21 December 2026, at SIECC, SGCCI's exhibition centre in Sarsana. | A fair page live by early December, with a QR code on your stall. |
| Festival dates, 2026 | Dussehra 20 October, Diwali 8 November, Bestu Varas (Gujarati New Year) 10 November. | Launch before or after these weeks, when sign-offs slow. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. SGCCI's figures are its own and undated. Holiday dates come from a news report of Gujarat's list. The Bourse, port, plants and SGCCI are named as part of the city, not as clients or partners. The steps below show how we put this to work.
The full steps are in the fold below.
Retailers in other states, agents, exporters or local families? And what is one repeat buyer worth to you in a year?
We'd put one range online first and send it to your regular buyers.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
How we work with you, and all six steps from the first call to the monthly count.
How we work with you: we have worked since 2015, and our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. You approve each stage on video calls and a private preview link. We visit to review and plan, and when a job needs it, a team member works from your site. We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.
This page covers what changes for a Surat business. Our general method is on the national website design and development page, and our other work in the city is on the Surat overview.
We don't publish a price list. After a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, we write down the ranges, pages, languages and logins your site needs, and quote on that scope. Domain, hosting, plugins and any shoot are billed at actuals, in your company's name.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Fixed-scope build | One quote for the catalogue and pages in the written scope; usually 4 to 6 weeks, timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Build, then monthly upkeep | New designs loaded, backups and speed checks after launch; upkeep is minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Fair page first | A SITEX page before the fair, the full catalogue site after it; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Our beliefThink creative. Act on numbers.
Three more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
Languages. English only, or Gujarati versions of key pages too.
Photos. Your staff's phone photos with our guide, or a planned shoot.
Links to your tools. Billing or stock software, WhatsApp Business, or a CRM (the software where you track enquiries).
Comparing each website design company in Surat? Check three lines. How many designs load at launch, and who loads the rest? Whose name are the domain and code in? Is GST included?
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

Partly, if your buyers read it. The district site says the city mostly speaks Surti Gujarati, so local retailers may prefer it. Buyers elsewhere need English. Start with Gujarati versions of the home, catalogue and contact pages. Our language partners write them, and can add French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese or Korean pages for export buyers.
We'd keep them off public pages. Rates change often, and rivals read websites too. Show the design and minimum order to everyone, and put rates behind a login for approved buyers. You decide who is approved, and we set up the login. Exporters do better with a quote form.
SITEX '26 runs from 19 to 21 December 2026. If you start by early October 2026, a fair page with your new range and a QR code is realistic. A full catalogue with Gujarati pages is tighter, so we would build the fair page first.
Yes, but a quiet one. Your deals may still close on trust and a phone call. Yet a buyer abroad who hears your name will search for it. A short site with your Bourse address, your stones, your certificates and a quote form shows you are real.
A new website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to build. Buyers you already know can use the catalogue link from launch day. New buyers from Google take longer, often a few months. Our SEO (search engine optimisation: showing up in Google's free results) can run alongside.
