Inside the machine,on screen.

Buyers do not trust a machine they cannot see inside. PromotEdge animates products, machines and processes from your CAD files, so buyers understand them and enquire.

Here is what we usually see: a grey box in photos, a launch weeks away and no finished unit. We serve manufacturers, healthcare and pharma brands, real estate developers and startups.

Choose 3D when the subject is hidden, too big, too small, too dangerous or not built yet. Choose a camera when real people carry the trust. See video production, or a 3D walkthrough for a building.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“Our machine looks like a grey box in every photo.”

Cutaway and exploded views open the casing part by part, so buyers see the engineering behind your price.

“Engineers read our drawings, but purchase managers and dealers don't.”

Animation turns a drawing into a short film with labels and a plain voice-over.

“The product launches in three months, and no unit exists yet.”

Built from CAD files, the animation can be ready before the first unit leaves the line.

“No film crew is allowed into our process area.”

Hazardous, sterile or confidential processes can be shown in 3D without anyone stepping in.

“Our catalogue photos look different every year.”

Once the model exists, new renders in any colour or angle cost far less than a fresh shoot.

/ 04 How it is made

Script to render, checked at every stage.

A typical timeline for a 60 to 90 second product animation. A full plant or photoreal work takes longer.

  1. 01

    Week 1: brief and inputs

What the film must explain, to whom. We collect CAD files, drawings and your engineers' notes.

  2. 02

    Weeks 1-2: script and storyboard

A voice-over script and frame-by-frame board. Engineering errors get caught here, when fixing is cheap.

  3. 03

    Weeks 2-3: model and look

Your team checks the 3D model. Two or three style frames fix colours, materials and light.

  4. 04

    Weeks 3-4: animatic

A rough moving version with the real camera moves. You approve the motion before rendering.

  5. 05

    Weeks 4-7: animate and render

Final animation, lighting and rendering. This is the slowest stage to change.

  6. 06

    Weeks 7-8: finish

Labels, music, final voice-over and subtitles, then the master, short cuts and stills.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business to business) maker needs a cutaway dealers can play on a tablet. A D2C (direct to consumer) brand needs a clean product turn for a premium range.

A startup can show a product to investors before the first batch. A pharma brand should have every claim checked by its regulatory team.

  1. Start from your CAD files, under a confidentiality agreement. A model from real geometry is accurate and quicker to finish. Your engineers check the model.
  2. Fix story, look and camera in cheap formats first. Moving a camera after rendering can cost days of computer time. A storyboard and a rough animatic.
  3. Judge colour and light on still frames. A still is cheaper to change than a film. Two or three finished frames.
  4. Render last. It is the slowest stage to change. A locked cut before the long run.
  5. Hand over stills as well as the film. One model can feed catalogues, ads and new colours later. Film, short cuts and renders.

AI in 3D animation: today and next

Today

Meshy says it turns text or images into 3D models in under a minute. Google says Veo 3.1 makes video from text, with sound, and its page notes clips of about 8 seconds.

Both suit rough ideas and mood shots. Neither knows your engineering, so your CAD files stay the source of truth. Confidential files should not go into public tools.

/ 05 Cost

What 3D animationcosts.

3D work is quoted per project, from the storyboard. Cost rises with detail, realism and the number of scenes.

What affects the cost

  • Length of the finished animation, in seconds
  • How many objects are modelled, and whether CAD files exist
  • Realism: clean and simple, or photoreal materials and light
  • Render complexity: glass, liquids, smoke and particles take far longer
  • Scenes, camera moves, and any people that need rigging
  • Changes made after the animatic is approved

How we quote

  1. You send your product or process and any CAD files
  2. We check what to model and how real it must look
  3. We draw a storyboard and animatic with the length in seconds
  4. You get a quote within 2 working days, each stage on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • Storyboard and animatic, with change rounds
  • Modelling from your CAD files or from scratch
  • Animation, lighting and final rendering
  • Music, voice-over and subtitles if you want them
  • The master film, short cuts and still renders

Re-rendering after approval is charged by the time it takes, and we tell you before we start.

Straight answers.

  • Studios usually price 3D by the finished second, adjusted for detail. A simple product turn costs far less than a photoreal plant with moving liquids. We do not publish a price list; we quote after seeing your product and storyboard, with outside costs at actuals.

  • Six to eight weeks is common for 60 to 90 seconds, longer for realistic or complex scenes. Rendering starts only after the storyboard and model are approved, so quick approvals save the most time. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • They help a lot. CAD files make the model accurate and cut modelling time. Without them we work from drawings, measurements and photographs, and your engineers check the model. Everything stays under a confidentiality agreement, signed before you share the first file.

  • Choose 2D animation for ideas, services, software and simple steps; it is quicker and cheaper. Choose 3D when viewers must see a physical object from several angles or from the inside. Many films mix the two, using 3D for the product and 2D for the story around it.

  • Settle it before work starts. You should own the final films and renders. The model files are a separate item, so if you want them for future use, put it in the contract. Ask in writing and ask early, because rebuilding a model later costs time and money.

  • Yes. 3D needs no shoot at your site, so most work runs on shared files and calls with our servicing team, based in cities across India. We meet you in your city at least once every three months, and review links let your team comment from anywhere.

  • We share examples close to your product type at the first meeting, with the brief behind each one. The 3D work is done by our in-house team of 65+ people, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them.
