/ 01 Animation studio services

Drawn once,used all year.

Free templates make every brand's reels look the same. PromotEdge offers animation studio services, making 2D animation and motion graphics for Indian brands, so reels and ads get noticed and bring enquiries.

We build pieces you reuse in reels, ads, slides and on your website, so one round of drawing pays back for months.

2D means flat drawings, like a cartoon, an icon or a chart. Motion graphics moves text, shapes, numbers and logos. Pick 2D for an idea, such as a loan scheme or a Puja offer, a camera when real faces carry the trust, and 3D animation when buyers must see a machine inside.

One 60 to 90 second film is on our explainer videos page; every other kind is under video production. Here is what we usually do: build a small kit of your characters, colours, fonts and a logo sting (the short animated logo at the end of a film). Each new reel reuses it.

2D work we make, and what you get back.

Type of workWhat you receive
Social posts and reels (Instagram, Facebook, Shorts, LinkedIn, WhatsApp status)Vertical, square and wide files, with subtitles for people watching on mute
Animated ads (paid social, YouTube, banners)6, 15 and 30 second cuts, each ending on your offer and how to reach you
Logo sting and brand kitAnimated logo, colours, fonts, transitions and a short guide for your team
Character and mascot animationA model sheet, a rig (a character set up with movable joints) and finished films
Data and chart animationAnimated charts and numbers, as video and as slides
Graphics package for filmsTitle cards, name strips, transitions and end frames, ready for any editor
Website and app animationLight animation files for your developers, checked on phones
Training modulesShort lessons in one fixed style, with other-language versions

Every job ends with the final files. Working files, such as the animation project and the rigs, are a separate item: ask before work starts.

/ 03 Common hurdles

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“Our reels use the same free templates as everyone in our category.”

A small set of your own animated styles makes even a 10-second post look like yours.

“Every festival post takes a week, because it is designed from scratch.”

With a ready kit, a Diwali or Eid post becomes a change of words and colours.

“Our results sit in slides that nobody remembers.”

Motion graphics build a number on screen, step by step, so sales growth sticks when the viewer watches it grow.

“Our mascot looks different every time a new designer draws it.”

A character model sheet shows the mascot from every side, with fixed colours and faces.

“People miss the main button on our app or website.”

A small animation on the right step guides the eye. Light files, tested to load fast on phones.

“Our company film looks old, mostly because of its titles and charts.”

New title cards, name strips and animated charts can refresh it. You may not need a new shoot.

Our beliefWe believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 04 How a 2D piece is made

Look first,movement second.

A 20 to 45 second ad in a new style takes about four to five weeks; a new piece from your kit, one to two.

  1. 01

    Days 1 to 3: brief

What it must do, who sees it, where it runs.

  2. 02

    Week 1: style frames

Two or three finished stills. You pick one before anything moves.

  3. 03

Weeks 1 to 2: characters and storyboard

Characters fixed in a model sheet; each scene as a rough frame.

  4. 04

    Week 2: animatic

The storyboard timed to a rough voice or music track. This is the cheap place to change things.

  5. 05

Weeks 2 to 4: animation and sound

Final movement, music and voice-over. One round of changes is included.

  6. 06

Weeks 4 to 5: versions and handover

Cuts, sizes and languages with subtitles, plus the files and kit. Our social media and content marketing teams can plan where each runs.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand needs fast festival posts and ads. A B2B (business-to-business) firm needs data and training animation. An app or SaaS (software as a service) company needs step-by-step product motion. A school needs lessons in several languages.

  1. Fix the style on stills first. Changing a still costs minutes; changing movement costs days. Sayantan Guha, our Chief Creative Director, leads the creative work. Two or three style frames.
  2. Time the story as an animatic. Pace is cheapest to change before animation. A rough timed film.
  3. Build a reusable kit. A second reel should cost less than the first. Characters, fonts and a logo sting.
  4. Agree one number per piece. Then a good-looking film can be judged by what it brings. A monthly report when we run the pieces.

AI in animation: today and next

Today: Adobe Firefly

Adobe's video generator starts from a text prompt or an image. Most models make clips up to 8 seconds, some up to 15, in 16:9 or 9:16. Adobe says its own Firefly Video Model is designed for commercial use, and partner models may have different terms.

Next

Our view: AI is good for rough ideas and short clips. A mascot that must look the same in every reel still needs a drawn model sheet and a person. Want us to show where AI could save you time? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of2D animation.

No price list. These things move the number.

Voice artists, music licences and stock drawings are billed at actuals and shown first.

What affects the cost

  • Length in seconds, and how many pieces
  • Technique: motion graphics usually costs least; frame-by-frame drawing costs most per second
  • New characters, or an existing kit to reuse
  • Sizes, short cuts and languages
  • Voice-over, music and stock licences
  • Rounds of changes after the animatic

How we quote

  1. You share the story, length, where it plays and any characters you have
  2. We suggest a technique and write a scope, then quote within 2 working days, each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • Script, storyboard and animatic for your approval
  • Character and style design, or reuse of your kit
  • Animation, sound, versions and final files

Compare what each quote includes: rounds of changes, sizes, languages, how far the music licence reaches, and working files.

Straight answers.

  • 2D animation usually tells a story with drawn characters and places. Motion graphics moves text, icons, charts and logos, often with no characters. Many pieces mix both, and we pick the mix that suits your message. Motion graphics is usually quicker and costs less.

  • It depends on length, technique, new characters, versions and licences. A 15-second motion graphics reel costs far less than a minute of hand-drawn character work. We quote against a written scope, so each cost is on its own line and you can compare it with other quotes.

  • Choose a camera when real faces and places carry the trust: schools, homes and food. Choose 2D for an idea, a scheme or a screen, or when you need many versions fast. One film can mix both, and we tell you honestly which one suits your brief.

  • Usually four to five weeks for a 20 to 45 second piece in a new style, and one to two weeks once your kit exists. Quick approval of style frames and the animatic saves the most time. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Yes. We plan vertical frames from the start. Meta's ads guide lists 9:16 at 1440 x 2560 pixels for Reels ads, and YouTube says Shorts can run up to 3 minutes. Platforms change specs, so we check them again before delivery and export every size you need.

  • You own the final films and every size we export. Working files, such as the project, rigs and kit, are separate. If your own team will make changes later, ask for them in the contract before work starts, so there is no surprise at handover.

  • One producer stays your contact from brief to handover. The work is done by our in-house team of 65+ people, with industry consultants and partner agencies where a job needs them. Ask for examples close to your category at the first meeting.

  • We agree one number per piece before work starts. For an ad, that is enquiries and the cost per qualified lead, meaning an enquiry from someone who can really buy. For an app animation, it is how many finish the step.
