A mark people rememberat the size they see it.

A logo is tested by the smallest place buyers see it, not by the biggest screen it was approved on. PromotEdge draws the mark your buyers see most, so they spot you fast and remember your name when they order again.

Most logos look fine on a laptop. On WhatsApp they shrink to a blur, and look just like the competitor's.

Logo only, or the full identity? A logo is enough when you are new or small. You need full brand identity design when dealers, printers and agencies all apply your brand. Our branding page shows every piece.

How we judge a logo. Pretty is not the test. We shrink it to a round WhatsApp picture, print it in one colour, set it beside your three nearest competitors and view it on a phone outdoors. A mark that fails one will fail in the market, so we fix it or drop it.

Need templates, fonts, imagery rules and a brand book too? That is brand identity design. Putting the logo on a pack is packaging design.

/ 03 Common hurdles

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“Our logo turns into a smudge on WhatsApp and Instagram.”

It was drawn wide, and a round picture cuts it off. We draw a small version for that circle.

“All we have is a JPG someone emailed us years ago.”

Then every printer redraws it and each copy drifts. You get master files that stay sharp at any size.

“Our logo has thin lines and shading that vanish on a stamp or a bag.”

Fine detail dies in one colour, so we test every concept in black only, before colour.

“Next to our competitors, our logo looks like theirs.”

Gears, roofs, leaves, swooshes. We put your rivals on one sheet first, so the new mark stands apart.

“We are launching soon and need a logo before the website and signboard.”

Desi Machines started that way. A short brief keeps a fast job from becoming a redo.

“Our name is long, and nothing fits a social icon.”

A logo can have a short form: a symbol, initials or one letter. We plan both together.

/ 06 How we work

From the first callto the final files.

  1. 01

    Listen

We talk to the owner and your sales team: what buyers call you, who you lose to, where the mark lets you down.

  2. 02

    Write the brief

One page, signed off by you. A logo drawn before people agree what it must say usually gets drawn twice.

  3. 03

    Study the category

Search your category on your phone and look at the first ten logos. Engineering firms pick a gear, builders a roof, wellness brands a leaf.

  4. 04

    Sketch and test

Concepts go through the four checks. We tell you which one we would pick, and say plainly if your favourite fails.

  5. 05

    Refine

Spacing, weight, the small-size version and any Indian script. Change rounds follow the scope.

  6. 06

    Trademark check and hand-over

We ask you to have a trademark search done before it is final. Then you get the files and usage sheet.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand needs a small icon that works on a pack and a profile picture. A dealer-led maker needs a mark that prints in one colour on dealer boards and stamps. A franchise needs a mark that survives signboards at every outlet. A services firm often does well with a wordmark.

Who keeps the trade mark record

IP India, the government's trade marks office, lists public Trademark Search tools on its "Before You Apply" page. A proper search and the filing are your trademark lawyer's call. General guidance, not legal advice.

  1. Write a one-page brief. A logo drawn before people agree what it must say usually gets drawn twice. A brief you sign.
  2. Study the category first. Rivals' marks show which ideas buyers already see everywhere. A competitor sheet.
  3. Test every concept four ways. A mark that fails at WhatsApp size or in one colour fails in the market. Concepts shown at real sizes.
  4. Draw the small version too. A round profile picture cuts a wide logo. Symbol, stacked and small versions.
  5. Ask for a trademark search. You find a clash before printing, not after. The files your lawyer needs.

AI in logo design: today and next

Today

Adobe's Illustrator can generate vector graphics from a text prompt. Adobe's page says the output is fully editable and infinitely scalable, so a designer can refine it.

Limits and next

Our view: AI will speed up first sketches. A generated mark can still look like many others, so the four checks and the trademark search stay. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

/ 07 Cost

What affects the cost of logo design.

No price list. These things move the number.

Cards, bags and stationery are printed and costed separately.

What affects the cost

  • A new mark, or a careful redraw
  • A wordmark only, or a symbol too
  • The Indian scripts it must work in
  • Concepts and change rounds in the scope
  • Versions and file sets needed
  • A name too, or only the mark

How we quote

  1. You tell us about the business, buyers and where the logo will appear.
  2. We look at your current mark and your nearest competitors.
  3. We write a scope: concepts, change rounds, scripts and files.
  4. You get a quote for the design work before you approve.

What you get in the quote

  • Every version of the logo you will receive
  • Concepts, change rounds, scripts and file formats
  • Dates, and who signs off on your side

Ask every studio, including us: vector master files? Concepts and change rounds written down? Drawn from scratch, or built on a stock template?

/ 08 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

No pressure. No sales pitch.

Send us your logo next to three competitors. We'll tell you what we see.

Straight answers.

  • Only a logo, if you are small, appear in a few places and make your own material. A full identity once dealers, printers and agencies all use your brand. If a logo is all you need, we will say so and keep the job small.

  • Usually, yes. A template can be downloaded by anyone, so the same mark may already sit on a rival's board. A custom logo starts from your buyers and your competitors, so it stands apart, and you get every file in the sizes printers need.

  • Logo design cost depends on the scope: a new mark or a redraw, a wordmark or a symbol too, and how many scripts. We quote against a written scope after a first conversation and confirm the timeline and change rounds in the quote.

  • You get the final files: vector masters, every version, the one-colour and small-size versions and the image files for daily use. How the rights pass to you is written into the scope before work starts, so there are no surprises later.

  • We ask you to get a trademark search done before the logo is final. IP India offers a public search of existing marks on its website. The search and any filing are your lawyer's call, not ours. General guidance, not legal advice.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and our in-house team of 65+ people does the work. We review concepts on video calls, meet you regularly and place the team at your site if a rollout needs it.

  • Agree the signs before launch. Can buyers pick you out on a WhatsApp list? Do dealers and printers use the new files? Do enquiries by name rise over three months? If we run your social media, you see these monthly.
