Films for factories, software firms and shops.

A film with no clear job is only an expense. PromotEdge scripts, shoots and edits plant films, ad films, explainers and exhibition loops for Pune makers, software firms and retailers.

Each film gets one job you can check, such as a buyer visit booked or an enquiry sent.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so scripts, planning and editing do not depend on where you sit. We meet on a video call and visit Pune regularly. Our in-house team of 65+ people shoots at your plant or office, with partner agencies where needed.

An audio-visual (AV) agency is the older name for this work: pictures and sound made to sell or explain. A TV commercial, or TVC, is a 10 to 60 second ad film. We make it; our TV advertising team books the airtime.

Our job is to impress your customers, not you, so we ask who will watch and what they should do next.

/ 03 What is different here

Four things that shape a Pune shoot.

Checked facts, and what each changes in our plan.

Factory buyers want to see the line. ThePrint (August 2026) named Mercedes-Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra, Volkswagen and Skoda as firms in Chakan. The state lists electronics making at Ranjangaon and Talegaon among its flagship projects. A plant film shows your process before a buyer travels.

Getting to the plant takes planning. The same report says Chakan firms complained of bad roads, traffic and power cuts. So we allow spare travel time and ask about backup power.

Software is hard to film. Pune district has 232 of Maharashtra's 669 approved private IT parks, more than any other district. Code has no factory floor, so these films use screen recordings and plain talk.

One film, often three languages. The district site lists Marathi, Hindi and English as major languages. One set of shots can carry each voice-over.

/ 06 How a Pune film runs

Plan on a call, shoot in Pune.

  1. 01

Video call and the film's job

Who will watch, where it will play and what they should do next. That sets the length and versions.

  2. 02

    Script and languages

You sign off the script before money goes into the shoot. Our language partners write Marathi, Hindi or English.

  3. 03

    Recce and safety walk

We walk the site with your safety officer and note shift changes, noise and power.

  4. 04

    Shoot days

Planned around your shifts and the drive out to Chakan, Talegaon or Hinjawadi.

  5. 05

    Edit, versions and use

Rough cut, fine cut, then language versions and short cuts.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) maker needs plant and product films. A software firm needs explainers and hiring films. A retailer needs short cuts for screens and social. An exporter needs subtitles in the buyer's language.

  1. Agree the film's one job. A film with a job can be judged, kept or changed. A plain list of what the film must earn.
  2. Approve the script before the shoot. A change on paper costs minutes; on a shop floor it costs a day. A script and shot list you sign.
  3. Walk the site with your safety officer. Live lines and shift changes decide when we can film. A day plan around your shifts.
  4. Cut every version from one shoot. Each place the film plays needs its own length and captions. Master, short cuts, stall loop and language versions.

A film festival city

PIFF, the Pune International Film Festival, is run by the Maharashtra Government, Mahasanskruti and the Pune Film Foundation. Its screens include the National Film Archive of India, PVR ICON Pavilion and E-Square. A jumpy edit or muddy sound looks cheap in a city like this.

Software exporters' body

STPI Pune (Software Technology Parks of India, a central body that helps software firms export) has worked from Hinjawadi since 1990.

AI in video production: today and next

Today: Synthesia and Runway

Synthesia calls itself a platform for business video with AI avatars, and offers voiceovers in 140+ languages. Runway says its Creative platform generates and edits video, images and audio in one workspace. Both are the companies' own claims. They suit explainers and rough cuts. A plant film still needs a camera on your shop floor.

/ 07 Cost

What affects the cost of a Pune film.

We don't publish a price list. After a first conversation we agree the script and a written scope, then quote against them. Travel, cast, hired kit, licensed music and venue charges are passed on at actual cost, and you see each one before you approve it.

What affects the cost

  • Where we shoot. One Chakan plant is one plan. Adding an office and a showroom adds travel and maybe a day.
  • Access and safety. Clean rooms, live lines and guarded zones need more planning.
  • Languages. Each version needs its own script check, voice and captions.
  • Deadlines. A film for a show date or Diwali on 8 November needs the script locked early.

How we quote

  1. A video call about the viewer, the film's job and where it plays
  2. A look at footage you already own, so we don't shoot what you have
  3. A script outline and a line-by-line quote you can trim or question

What you get in the quote

  • The script, storyboard and number of review rounds
  • Every version by name: master, short cuts, stall loop, language versions
  • Travel, cast and music as their own lines, with where the film may run

Compare quotes on shoot days, versions and usage rights. A low quote often leaves out travel.

/ 08 What happens next

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and we work with Pune clients hybrid and remotely. We plan, write and edit over calls and shared files, and we visit you regularly. For video shoot days our team comes to your plant or office.

  • Yes, in today's terms. An audio-visual (AV) agency makes films and sound for brands. We make ad films, company films, explainers, voice-overs and animation. We do not rent out projectors, screens or stage sound for events, so tell us on the first call if that is what you need.

  • We make the TV commercial and its shorter cuts. Our TV advertising team can plan and book the airtime, and you approve each channel and cost first. The same shoot can also feed YouTube and social cuts, so one shoot works hard.

  • Yes, where we plan it from the start. Our language partners write a Marathi voice-over in Marathi, not translated at the end, and a native speaker checks the script and captions before they go out. The same shots can then carry Hindi and English voice-overs too.

  • Usually, yes. We walk the line with your safety officer first and film around shift changes. Our in-house team does the filming, with industry consultants where needed. Where a line cannot be filmed at all, we show it with animation instead, and your team checks every frame.

  • A silent loop of about a minute, with large captions, for the screen on your stand. Halls are loud, so sound rarely carries. Add a short recap film to post after the show, so people who missed it still see your work.

  • A film starts working the day it goes into use: in a sales meeting, on a stand or in an ad. If it runs in paid ads, the first enquiries can come in days. Its full value shows over months, as your team keeps using it. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
