/ 01 Advertising agency in Pune

Two languages.One clear message.

Many Pune advertisers book the slot first and think of the idea later, but a good slot cannot save a weak ad. PromotEdge, an advertising agency and marketing company, makes the idea and the ads, then books the space.

Many people search for a creative agency in Pune. They want the idea and the ad, not only the booking. We do both. See creative campaigns, branding in Pune and the Pune overview.

Pune reads in Marathi, Hindi and English, so most campaigns need two versions, each written fresh by our language partners. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, meets you on video and visits Pune regularly.

/ 03 What is different here

What a Pune advertiser should know first.

Four things about this city change how we plan your ads.

There is money to reach. Pune district produced goods and services worth Rs 5,34,695 crore in 2024-25, about 11.6% of Maharashtra (Economic Survey). Office workers, factory buyers and families each need a different ad.

Marathi papers sit beside English ones. The ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) lists Pune editions of Sakal and Loksatta in Marathi, and The Times of India, The Economic Times and Pune Times Mirror in English. We pick papers by who reads them.

Radio is a crowded dial. Six private FM stations run in Pune (government list, March 2026), beside Akashvani and Vividh Bharati. Radio suits short offers and dates people must remember.

Hoarding rules are changing. Since 27 May 2026 every legal hoarding in the PMC area must carry a QR code showing its licence dates. New licences are on hold until new rates are approved (as of September 2026). We book only licensed sites.

/ 04 Pune media and rules

The facts we plan with, with sources.

Pune factWhat the record showsFor your ads
Akashvani PunePrimary channel, 792 kHz: Rs 660 and Rs 440 per 10 seconds. Vividh Bharati, 101 MHz: Rs 500, Rs 440 and Rs 330. Government card, rates from June 2017.A public starting point to compare private FM quotes against.
Hoarding ratesPMC's rate has been Rs 111 per sq ft for about ten years. A 2022 rise was stayed in court, then cancelled by the state in December 2025.Rates may change soon. New licences wait for them.
Illegal hoardingsPCMC pulled down a 40 ft x 30 ft billboard at Punawale in September 2026. PMPML filed a police case over illegal bus-stop ads (November 2025).An ad on an illegal site can vanish overnight.
Bus shelters and metroPMPML licensed 865 shelters and 10 stands for 5 years (December 2024). Pune Metro has 2 lines and 30 stations; Corridor 2 station branding went for 15 years (December 2025).Booked through the rights holders; we compare them with roadside sites.

Checked 4 October 2026. Akashvani and PMC rates are set by government, not us. Rights holders are not named.

/ 06 How a Pune campaign runs

Five steps,one report.

  1. 01

    A first call

Who buys from you, where in Pune they live or work, and your dates.

  2. 02

    A plan on paper

Which papers, stations and sites, and why. You see each line's cost before we book.

  3. 03

    The idea and the ads

Think creative, act on numbers. One idea in English and Marathi, checked by a native reader.

  4. 04

    Booking and checks

Orders go only after your yes. For each hoarding we scan the QR code and keep the licence details.

  5. 05

    Run, track and report

Each ad gets its own number or code. We would rather show results than a nice presentation.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A shop or franchise leans on Marathi print, radio and nearby boards. A maker selling to dealers needs trade press and a few sites on the roads its buyers use. A D2C (direct-to-customer) brand uses outdoor to prompt online searches.

Who sets the rules and who measures

ASCI, formed in 1985, is advertising's self-regulatory body. MRUC, a not-for-profit industry body since 1994, runs the Indian Readership Survey and the Indian Outdoor Survey. AAAI, formed in 1945, is the national body of advertising agencies.

  1. Start from what one enquiry costs today. Without that number no medium can be judged. A starting cost per lead.
  2. Write Marathi fresh, not translated. A straight translation often sounds stiff. Both versions checked by a native reader.
  3. Check the licence before the rate. A cheap site without a valid QR code can be removed. The code scanned and a copy kept for you.
  4. Give every ad its own number or code. Then money moves to what works. An enquiry count by channel.

AI in advertising: today and next

Today

Meta says Advantage+ applies AI across a campaign's audience, placement and budget, and matches ads to people most likely to act. We use it for the online step that follows a hoarding or a radio burst.

Source: Meta, Advantage+ page, read 10 October 2026

Next

Our view: AI will draft more versions of each ad. The Marathi line, the PMC licence and the radio slot still need people who know Pune. Want us to look at your plan? Ask us.

/ 07 Cost

What affects the cost of advertising in Pune.

Airtime, paper space, sites, printing and travel are passed on at actual cost, and you see each one first.

What affects the cost

  • Languages. English and Marathi means two sets of writing and checking.
  • Papers. Marathi or English titles, ad size, colour, page and day.
  • Radio. How many of the six private stations, Akashvani or not, time band and weeks.
  • Outdoor. Site size, number of sites and months. With licences on hold, fewer legal sites may be free.
  • Season. Space before Diwali fills early, so late booking costs choice.

How we quote

  1. A first call about your buyers, areas of Pune and dates
  2. A paper plan of each paper, station and site, and the reason for it
  3. A line-by-line quote within 2 working days. We book only after your yes

What you get in the quote

  • Our idea, writing and design, kept apart from media costs
  • How each ad is tracked: a number, QR code or offer code

The radio and hoarding rates above are public rates, not ours. Compare quotes on the proof each gives: radio logs, tear sheets, dated site photos.

/ 08 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Brands and people are named only as public examples. They are not PromotEdge clients or endorsers unless stated.

Straight answers.

  • We serve Pune with a servicing team based in cities across India, on calls and shared files. We visit regularly, and when a job needs it, one of our people works from your site. We agree the plan with you in writing before any booking.

  • We won't claim that, and be careful of anyone who does. Ask: can they write Marathi, not only translate? Will they show each site's licence and QR code? Will they track enquiries from each ad? Their answers tell you more than any claim.

  • Both. We make the idea, write and design the ads, then book the papers, stations and sites. You can also hire us for only one part. If you already have a creative idea, we can book the media alone. If you only need ads made, we can stop there and hand over the files.

  • Yes. Our language partners write Marathi and English. The Marathi line is written fresh, and a native reader checks it. Hindi and more are available on request. Tell us the area and the buyer, and we match the language and tone to the people who will read the ad.

  • Yes, if the site is legal. Every legal hoarding must show a PMC QR code with its licence details, and new licences are on hold (as of September 2026). We book only valid sites. This is general guidance, not legal advice, so check each site before you pay.

  • Now. Diwali Laxmi Pujan falls on 8 November 2026, and good pages, radio slots and sites fill weeks ahead. Start in late October and you take what is left. For Pune advertising, finalise your plan, copy and budget first, then book sites and slots.

  • An ad with a clear offer can bring calls within days. Brand ads take a few months of steady presence. We track each ad from day one, and we confirm the timeline in the quote. Results depend on your offer, the media and the season.
