/ 01 Branding agency in Kochi

Stop selling on price.Start being asked for.

A branding agency in Kochi has done its job when buyers ask for your firm by name instead of asking for a discount. PromotEdge shapes the name, logo, packs and shop fronts of family businesses, retailers and exporters who sell across Kerala and abroad.

What does a branding company in Kochi do for you? It decides how people should see your business. Then it makes every place they meet you say the same thing. Think of your shop board, a carton, a bill, a WhatsApp catalogue and a gift box for a flight. Our national branding and identity page explains it in full.

Three things shape a brand here more than in most cities. Your buyers read Malayalam and English. Many of them, or their families, spend part of their lives abroad. And Kerala is strict about boards and flex. Our Kochi overview explains how we serve the city.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Brand work is mostly thinking, drawing and checking, so it runs well online in hybrid mode. We visit Kochi to meet you, and when a board goes up, a team member can work from your site.

/ 03 What makes Kochi different

Four facts that change a Kochi brand brief.

Each one comes from a public record and changes what we design first. The one that matters most for shop fronts is here; three more are in the fold below.

Shop fronts that face the court and the mall. Kerala restricts PVC flex boards; check the current order. PVC flex is the glossy plastic sheet most banners are printed on. The High Court has ordered a fine of ₹5,000 for every illegal board. Indoors, Lulu Mall at Edappally has more than 300 outlets, Kerala Tourism says. Your board must be legal on the street and hold its own beside national chains inside.

Three more public facts: airport passengers, buyers who can pay for quality, and heritage and art on every corner.

The Kochi market for branding

Nearly half the airport's passengers fly international. Kochi airport handled 1,13,02,552 passengers in 2025-26, and 53,30,796 of them flew international routes, says the Airports Authority of India. On the same table, Mumbai's international share is about 30% and Bengaluru's about 16%. The table doesn't say where people flew. But it suggests many of your buyers know life in two countries. If you also sell to Malayali families in the Gulf, your name must work on a shelf there as well as in Edappally.

Buyers who can pay for quality. Kerala's income per person was about ₹3,46,437 in 2024-25, up 9.4%, by PRS's reading of the state budget. The district site says Ernakulam has "relatively high per capita income". So a firm that grew by selling harder can aim higher: better products, better margins, a trusted name. We call it the move from selling harder to being wanted. The brand must show the step up before the price tag does.

Heritage and art on every corner. The district site says Kochi was called the "Queen of Arabian Sea" in Kerala's history. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which its organiser calls "India's first and largest international exhibition of contemporary art", showed 66 artists and collectives at 29 venues in its sixth edition. They were spread across Fort Kochi, Mattancherry, Willingdon Island and Ernakulam. A café, a hotel or a craft label can borrow some of that feel. The trap is copying the tourist postcard. We look for the one detail that belongs to you.

/ 04 The Kochi notes

What the records say,and what we'd do about it.

Nearly half of the passengers at Kochi's airport fly international routes, and business here uses both Malayalam and English. Test your name and pack with buyers who live or travel abroad. If you need both scripts, plan them together.

What we believe at PromotEdge
/ 05 Step by step

About ten weeks, and you approve every step.

The first two steps are here; the other four are in the fold below.

  1. 01

Photos and a call (week 1)

Send pictures of your shop, packs, bills and catalogue. Then a video call with the owner or the marketing head.

  2. 02

Buyers here and abroad (weeks 1-2)

Short calls with a few customers you pick, including any who buy from outside India. We note their words.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

The rest of the steps, from the promise to the roll-out.

How the work runs in Kochi

Agree the promise (weeks 2-3)

One page on who you serve and why they should choose you. Nothing is drawn until you sign it.

Design routes (weeks 3-6)

Two or three routes, each shown on a shop front, a gift box and a phone screen. A Malayalam version is shown only once a language partner has agreed to check it.

Check at real size (weeks 6-8)

The chosen route is printed small and large, viewed from across a road, and checked against Kerala's board rules.

Hand over and roll out (weeks 8-10)

Brand book, master files and templates. Printing is handled through the same partner. Board fitting is delivered with the same partner where a job needs it.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of branding in Kochi.

Our fees are not listed online. A refresh of your logo is a small job; a new name, identity and pack range for two countries is a big one. So we quote after a first call, against a written scope. Boards, printing and fitting are billed at actual cost, shown before you say yes.

What affects the cost

  • One market or two. Kerala only, or buyers abroad too, which means more pack versions and wider name checks.
  • Scripts and what is new. English only or a second script designed as a pair; a refresh, or a new name with trademark checks.
  • Packs and shop fronts. How many products, sizes, branches or mall units need the new look and PVC-free boards.

How we quote

  1. A video call about your buyers in Kerala and abroad, then photos of your boards and packs.
  2. A written scope with any second script, packs and each shop front on separate lines.
  3. The written quote within 2 working days of the first call, with boards, printing and fitting apart, at actual cost, before you approve.

What you get in the quote

  • The promise page, and who signs it on your side
  • Every pack and gift box in the scope, by size
  • The files and brand book that become yours

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Single projectPromise, name and identity, quoted once for an agreed list; timeline confirmed in the quote
Phase by phaseStrategy first; packs and shop fronts quoted when you are ready; timeline confirmed in the quote
/ 07 What happens next

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Building a brand in Kochi?

Send us a photo of your shop front. We'll show you what it says about you.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Brand work runs online in hybrid mode, on calls and shared files, with daily contact. We hold a workshop with you in Kochi at least once every three months, and a team member works from your site when a job needs it.

  • We won't claim that title, and we'd be careful of anyone who does. Bring each agency one real problem, such as a board that looks cheap beside a mall neighbour. See who asks about your buyers before talking about colours. Ask who will do the work.

  • Most Kochi firms need both. A shop on a busy road may lead with Malayalam; a firm selling abroad may lead with English. Either way, design both together so they look like one brand. For Malayalam lettering, raise it on the first call; we check that a language partner can review it.

  • Be careful. Kerala restricts PVC flex boards; check the current order before you print. Boards also need permission, or the court's fine applies. We plan launch boards in recyclable, PVC-free materials. Fitting is delivered with the same partner. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • Usually one. Two brands split your money and confuse buyers who shop in both places. Keep one name and one look. Change only what must change: which script leads, the pack sizes, and the label details each country asks for. Check those rules with your importer.

  • Plan back from a season. Kerala Tourism calls Onam "The National Festival of Kerala"; it falls every year in August or September. Vishu, Kerala's Solar New Year, comes every mid-April. A full identity takes about ten weeks, so start at least that long before the festival you want to launch for.
