Launches, dealer meets, conferences and expo stalls across Kochi and Ernakulam, planned online with visits to the venue. The goal comes first. The venue follows.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
An event management company in Kochi earns its fee only if the day ends with buyers your sales team can call. PromotEdge plans launches, dealer meets, conferences and stalls for firms selling across Ernakulam district and Kerala, and starts every plan from what the day must win.
A launch at Lulu Mall, a dealer meet on Bolgatty Island or a stall in a hotel hall costs a lot for a few hours. So we first ask: what should your sales team hold the morning after?
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and planning, design and supplier work runs online in hybrid mode. Our planners travel to Kochi for the venue visit and the event days, and a team member works from your site when a job needs it. Stage, sound, LED screens, branding and stall builds are delivered with partner agencies where a job needs them. We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.
This page covers only what changes in Kochi. How we plan events anywhere in India is on our events and exhibitions page. The wider city picture is on our Kochi overview.
A reveal for dealers, buyers or the press. Mall launches start with the mall's written permission.
02Agenda, stay and travel for dealers from across Kerala, with an order desk in the room, weeks before Onam if that is your selling season.
03For port, shipping and IT firms: registration, sessions, a run sheet (the minute-by-minute plan) and a follow-up list.
04A stall built to the organiser's rules, with buyer meetings booked before the doors open.
05Demos and free samples at Lulu Mall, Forum Kochi or a mall near your buyers.
06Stage, sound, light, LED walls and stall builds, delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with partner agencies where a job needs them. Printing is handled through the same partner, with banners on recyclable material.

We check each one before we suggest a venue or a date. Five more are in the fold below.
1. One very big hall, on an island. The Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre opened on Bolgatty Island on 28 April 2018. Its owner group says two column-free venues hold around 10,000 people in total, and the LIWA hall alone takes more than 5,000. For a state-level summit, check it first. For 200 guests, a hotel hall is easier to fill.
2. Art crowds come in seasons. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale's sixth edition ran from 12 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. It used 29 venues across Fort Kochi, Mattancherry, Willingdon Island and Ernakulam. The organiser's site lists the seventh edition for 2027-28. When it returns, ask the organisers about taking part, or hold your own event in other weeks.
Five more Kochi facts, each with its source: the Carnival, big business meetings, banner rules, the airport and languages.
3. Year-end belongs to the Carnival. The Cochin Carnival is held in Fort Kochi every year from 23 December to 1 January. Wikipedia notes it began in 1984, and that a giant Pappanji figure is burnt at midnight on New Year's Eve. A year-end launch near Fort Kochi shares the streets with it, so we plan routes and parking, or pick another area.
4. Big business meetings already happen here. The Invest Kerala Global Summit was held in Kochi in February 2025. Over 3,500 delegates came. 374 companies gave EoIs (expressions of interest, which are promises to invest, not money spent) worth ₹1,52,905.67 crore. By May 2025, three of the first four summit projects to start work were in Ernakulam. Cochin Port handled about 38.06 million tonnes of cargo in 2025-26. Many Kochi events are for business buyers, held by logistics and manufacturing firms.
5. Banners outside the venue are a court matter. On 31 October 2023, and again on 13 March 2025, the Kerala High Court ordered a fine of ₹5,000 for each illegal board. The 2025 order also covers action against the advertising agencies involved. In August 2026 the court said only a negligible amount of these fines had been collected. Kerala also restricts PVC flex, the plastic sheet many banners are printed on. Check the current order before anything is printed.
6. Many guests arrive by air. Kochi airport handled 1,13,02,552 passengers in 2025-26, and 53,30,796 of them flew international routes. The airport says it is 28 km north-east of downtown Kochi. Local guests can use the Metro, which runs 28.125 km from Aluva to Tripunithura. The Water Metro stops at Fort Kochi, Vypin and High Court, among others. Venue and start time must suit both groups.
7. Two languages in one hall. The district site says Malayalam is the official language, and English is popularly used in business circles. A client conference can run in English. A meet for dealers and shop owners often works better in Malayalam, so we ask about language on the first call.
Kochi has big convention halls and busy malls, and festival weeks such as the Cochin Carnival fill its streets. Hold dealer meets a few weeks before Onam or Vishu, not in festival week. Put up outdoor signs only with permission.
| What | In Kochi (as published) | What it means for your event |
|---|---|---|
| Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre | Opened 28 April 2018. The owner group says over 10 lakh sq ft of indoor and outdoor space, and two column-free venues for about 10,000 people. | Summits, large dealer meets and award nights. We confirm real seating with the venue. |
| Lulu Mall, Edappally | Opened 10 March 2013. Kerala Tourism gives 2.5 million sq ft and more than 300 outlets. | Launch days and sampling, booked through the mall's own team. |
| Forum Kochi, Maradu | Opened August 2023, with a 9-screen PVR multiplex and a family entertainment centre. | Weekend demos for families. |
| Kochi-Muziris Biennale | Sixth edition: 12 December 2025 to 31 March 2026, 66 artists or collectives, 29 venues. Seventh edition listed for 2027-28. | Plan around it, or talk to the organisers about taking part. |
| Cochin Carnival | Fort Kochi, every year from 23 December to 1 January. Began in 1984 (Wikipedia). | Busy streets near Fort Kochi that week. Plan routes, or choose another area. |
| Onam and Vishu | Kerala Tourism calls Onam "The National Festival of Kerala". It falls every year in August or September. Vishu, Kerala's solar new year, comes every year in mid-April. | Hold dealer meets a few weeks before these festivals, not in the festival week. |
| Boards and banners | High Court, March 2025: unauthorised boards, banners, flags and festoons are "illegal and liable to fine and penal action". August 2026: fines largely uncollected. | Outside signs only with permission. Otherwise, branding stays indoors. |

Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Venues, malls and festivals are facts about Kochi, not PromotEdge clients or partners. Capacity figures are the owner's own, and the Carnival row relies on Wikipedia. We confirm every figure with the venue before any deposit.
Steps 3 to 6 are in the fold below.
A video call on what counts: orders, signed dealers, meetings or press stories. That number sets the guest list and budget.
Ernakulam, other Kerala towns, or flying in from abroad? Their journey decides between Bolgatty, a hotel near the Metro or a mall.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
Steps 3 to 6: the date test, the venue visit, the invites, and the build and count.
We hold your date against Onam, Vishu, Carnival week and the next Biennale, and flag any clash before a deposit.
Our planners walk the Kochi venue with you. Then the stage plan, PVC-free branding, the run sheet and any permission for outside signs.
Invites by email, WhatsApp and phone, a reminder the day before, and a list of who said yes.
Set-up inside the venue's hours, a rehearsal, then the event, delivered with the same partner, with partner agencies where a job needs them. What can't be measured can't be achieved. Within a week you get the lead list, what was agreed, and the cost per lead (what you paid, on average, for each enquiry).
We don't publish a price list. After a first call with one of our strategists we write the scope down and quote against it. Venue, food, travel and production are passed on at actual cost, and you approve each rate first.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| One event | A single launch, dealer meet or conference, with our fee and production on separate lines; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Show stall | Stall, booked meetings and follow-up for one trade show at a Kochi venue; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Kerala year plan | A dealer meet before Onam and a customer day later in the year, with designs reused; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Six things that move the quote, and what to look for when you compare quotes.
The venue. A Bolgatty hall, a hotel ballroom and a mall atrium each have their own rent and build rules.
The dates. Weeks near Onam, Vishu and the Carnival book up early.
Guest travel. Flights, hotel nights and pick-ups from an airport 28 km out.
Stage and screens. LED walls, sound, light and the build hours the venue allows.
Signs and materials. Recyclable, PVC-free branding, and permission for anything outside.
Our travel. Flights and stay for our planners on the venue visit and the event days.
When you compare quotes, look for GST, venue charges, airport transfers and night build hours. A quote that leaves them out only looks cheaper.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the planning runs online in hybrid mode. You hear from your planner every day. Planners come to Kochi for venue visits and event days, and to meet you at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your venue.
For a few hundred, a hotel hall is easier to fill and reach. For thousands, check the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre first. Its owner says the LIWA hall alone takes more than 5,000. We confirm real capacity with the venue before you pay anything.
Carnival week, 23 December to 1 January every year, if your venue is near Fort Kochi. Onam (August or September) and Vishu (mid-April) are the big festival days, so meet dealers a few weeks earlier. Tell us your date, and we test it against all three.
Only permitted ones, and not on PVC flex, which Kerala restricts. The High Court has ordered a ₹5,000 fine per illegal board. We apply early, or keep branding inside the venue. Send us your venue and banner plan, and we tell you which signs need permission.
We can't promise it up front. Our language partners write in English, Hindi, Tamil and more, and English suits a client conference. If a dealer meet needs Malayalam on stage, tell us at the start. We confirm whether a partner can write the scripts and find an anchor before we plan the event around it.
We won't claim that title, and you should doubt anyone who does. Ask each company three questions. Who runs the floor on the day? Can you see an event that led to orders, not just photos? What is missing from the quote? Ask us the same.
