A buyer judges a website in seconds, on a phone, and a slow or broken page loses the enquiry. Quick to open on a phone, and made to bring enquiries.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A website is the first meeting a buyer has with a business, and it happens before anyone picks up the phone. PromotEdge, a web and marketing company, builds websites for Assam startups, tea and silk sellers, exporters and hotels, so a buyer trusts what they see and sends an enquiry.
Many Guwahati firms got their first website from a cheap template. On a phone with weak data it opens slowly or breaks, and the buyer calls someone else. So we start from the one thing a visitor should do next: a sample request for a tea seller, a room enquiry for a hotel, a demo call for a startup.
Our servicing team in Guwahati works with our team in cities across India, and most reviews run on video calls. Our full method is on the national website design and development page, and the city on our Guwahati overview. A new site is only the start: SEO (search engine optimisation) brings visitors, and conversion rate optimisation gets more of them to enquire.
Our beliefOur job is to impress your customers, not you.
A clear product story, founder and team pages, and a demo or pitch request form.
Product ranges with specifications and certificates to download, and a quote form that asks what your sales desk needs.
03Online stores that take UPI and cards, with shipping rules by pin code and origin-story product pages.
04Room, tour and package pages for phones, with the booking or WhatsApp button at the top of the screen.
Assamese, Bengali or Hindi pages, each with its own web address, so Google shows the right one.
Light pages, page titles, a sitemap and tracking before launch. Updates, backups and security checks after.
A startup leads with a product story and a demo request. A tea or silk seller leads with a store and shipping rules. A B2B (business-to-business) maker leads with a catalogue and a quote form. A hotel leads with rooms and a booking button.
Kamrup Metropolitan had 12,60,419 people in Census 2011 and Assam 3,12,05,576, so most firms need pages for the whole state. The Nest also manages a ₹200 crore start-up venture fund, up to ₹10 crore for one startup. ARTFED, the state cooperative for weavers, sells through its own showrooms, and AIIDC names an Export Promotion Industrial Park at Amingaon. Tea Board figures reported by ETV Bharat show Assam grew about half of India's tea in 2025, and the state government calls the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre, set up in 1970, one of the busiest tea trading facilities in the world. The new LGBI terminal opened to flights on 22 February 2026.

Wix says its AI builder turns a text description into a site with pages, layout, copy and visuals, with hosting and SEO tools included. Online payments and a custom domain need a paid plan. It cannot know your loom or your grades unless you say.

Google says its AI Overviews and AI Mode link to supporting pages that are indexed and eligible to show with a snippet, with no additional technical requirements. Inclusion is not guaranteed.

Four groups of Guwahati businesses need very different websites. Here is what the public record shows about each.
Startups must look ready for investors. The Nest, the state's startup hub at Ambari, lists 628 startups in its network. A fund looks you up first, so you need a clear product page, a founders page and a demo request that works on a phone.
Tea and silk sellers want buyers beyond Assam. IBEF puts Assam's tea exports at ₹1,858.75 crore in 2025-26, or 45.88% of everything the state exported. A garden or weaver who sells direct needs product pages with grade, weave and origin, shipping costs and a quick way to order.
Makers and exporters sell to other companies. AIIDC, the state's industrial development body, lists its estates at Bamunimaidam and Kalapahar as fully taken. Their buyers want a catalogue, specification sheets and a quote form that asks for quantity and delivery point.
Hotels and tour firms serve visitors who plan on a phone. LGBI Airport handled 66,22,784 passengers in 2025-26, 7.5% more than the year before, and 75,249 of them flew international (AAI). The site that shows rooms, rates and a booking button clearly on a small screen gets the enquiry.

| What | In Guwahati and Assam | What it means for your website |
|---|---|---|
| Internet users | TRAI counted 24.05 million internet subscribers in the Assam circle at the end of March 2026, 14.84 million rural and 9.21 million urban. | About six in ten are rural. Pages must open on a basic phone and a weak signal, with a call or WhatsApp button beside every form. |
| Languages | In Census 2011, 48.38% of Assam named Assamese as their mother tongue, about 28.9% Bengali and 6.73% Hindi (as reported by Northeast Now). Bodo became an associate official language on 30 December 2020. | Shopper-facing sites often need an Assamese version. Export and B2B sites usually stay in English. |
| Trade shows | A venue listing shows BAIC Exhibition at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Betkuchi, on 3 to 6 December 2026. | A stall visitor who scans your QR code lands on your site. Give each show its own landing page. |
| Festival dates | Kati Bihu and Durga Puja holidays run from 18 to 21 October 2026. Lakshmi Puja is a half holiday on 25 October, and Diwali falls on 8 November. | Avoid launching a new site in festival weeks. Bugs get fixed slowly and enquiries go unanswered. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Trade show dates come from a venue listing, not from the organisers. Places, bodies and events are named as context; none is a PromotEdge client.

Guwahati work is quoted the same way as the rest of India. Domain, hosting, paid plugins, photography and travel are billed at actuals, and you see each cost before you approve it.
When you compare quotes, check four things: the page list, who writes the words, who owns the domain and code, and what happens after launch.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
Brands and people are named only as public examples. They are not PromotEdge clients or endorsers unless stated.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.
Your website is planned, designed and built by our servicing team, which is based in cities across India. Reviews happen on video calls, and we travel to Guwahati when the work needs it. You can expect a meeting in Guwahati at least once every three months, with contact from us every day.
Yes. Close to half of Assam named Assamese as their mother tongue in Census 2011, so shopper-facing sites often need it. Export and B2B sites usually stay in English. Our language partners write the Assamese pages, and each language gets its own web addresses, marked so Google shows the right version.
Only if the site is nearly finished today. The holidays run from 18 to 21 October 2026, with Lakshmi Puja on 25 October and Diwali on 8 November. A launch in those weeks means slow fixes and missed enquiries. For the festive rush, put up one festive landing page now and launch the full site after Diwali.
A company website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. For stores and very large sites, we confirm the timeline in the quote. Enquiries from paid ads can start in the first week once the site is live. Visits from Google take longer, often a few months. We report enquiries every month so you can see the trend.
We won't claim to be. Judge every company, including us, on four questions. Can they show sites they built, with results? Will the domain, hosting and code be in your name? Who writes the words? What happens when something breaks after launch? Meetings matter, so we visit regularly and work remotely in between.
Yes. We set up online payments, shipping rules for India and abroad, and product pages that show grade, weight, weave and origin. Export paperwork and courier contracts stay with you or your logistics partner. Our ecommerce marketing page covers selling after the site is live.
We plan a visit for the first meeting or a shoot when the site needs real photos. Our in-house team does the shoot, with industry consultants and partner agencies brought in where a job needs them. Travel is billed at actuals, and you see the cost before you approve it.
