One reason to choose you,and to pay more.

A product as good as the market leader's still gets treated as the cheaper option when buyers cannot say why they should pick you. PromotEdge helps companies that grew by selling harder become names buyers ask for, so you win more orders at a better price.

Whether you sell B2B (to other businesses), B2C (to consumers) or D2C (direct to customers online), the story is often the same. Dealers, discounts and a hard-working sales team built the business. Now you want better margins. We look at your business first and marketing second, because a slogan cannot fix a weak offer.

Positioning is one part of our wider brand strategy work. It answers one question: what single reason should buyers remember you for, and why should they believe it?

Try the parity test this week. Write down every claim your five closest competitors make. Cross out each claim that three or more of them share. Whatever survives is where your position can begin. Most housing projects claim a prime location.

Moving up to premium is where positioning earns its keep. A higher price needs a reason the buyer can check, such as a warranty or an approval. If your product can't back the bigger promise yet, we will tell you to your face.

/ 03 Common hurdles

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“Buyers say we're as good as the big brand, then ask for a lower price.”

They see an equal product with a smaller name. Positioning gives them a reason to pay the same, with proof.

“Our brochure says quality, service and technology. So does everyone else's.”

Those are entry tickets. We look for one claim that is true, matters and isn't already owned.

“We launched a premium range, and dealers still sell it on discount.”

The range has a new price but an old story. Dealers need a ten-second line and proof. We write both.

“The engineer likes us, but the person who signs the order has never heard of us.”

The person who recommends and the person who pays are often different. We build the position for both.

/ 04 How we work

From everyone's claimsto one you can own.

  1. 01

    First: the parity test

We collect what rivals say and cross out the shared claims.

  2. 02

Then: ground truth from sales, buyers and influencers

Your sales team and dealers tell us why orders are won, lost or discounted. Short calls with buyers and recommenders.

  3. 03

    Then: choose a route

In a workshop with your leaders, we argue for the route the evidence supports. You decide.

  4. 04

    Then: test small

The route goes into a few sales calls, a dealer line and two small online ads. We keep what buyers respond to.

  5. 05

    After that: carry it everywhere

We brief your team, dealers and agencies, then check the numbers.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) firm positions for the recommender and the dealer as well as the buyer. A D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand positions in one line a shopper can say aloud. A franchise network positions the promise every outlet must keep. A services firm positions around the one problem it solves best.

  1. Cross out the shared claims first. A claim three rivals make cannot make you different. A parity sheet.
  2. Ask sales why deals are won, lost and discounted. Your own numbers beat a meeting-room guess. The real reasons, in the buyers' words.
  3. Argue for a route, then let you decide. You know the business. We bring the evidence. Two or three routes on one page.
  4. Test small before the rollout. A small test costs little if the route is wrong. Test results and a one-page brief.

AI in brand positioning: today and next

Today: gathering claims

Google's Deep Research in Gemini drafts a research plan you can edit, then analyses many sources and writes a report, usually in about 5 to 10 minutes. It can speed up the first pass of a parity sheet. You still check every claim on the rival's own page.

Today: how AI answers see you

Google says no special markup or file is needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode; a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet. Our reading: plain, consistent words about who you serve and why give those answers something clear to draw on.

Next

Our view: AI will make everyone's copy sound alike. A position that rests on real proof will stand out more. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of brand positioning.

We don't publish a price list. We quote against a written scope within 2 working days. Any test ad spend is shown at actuals before you approve it.

What affects the cost

  • How many brands, ranges or markets need a position
  • How many sales, dealer and buyer conversations it needs
  • Whether a premium range needs its own name

How we quote

  1. We talk about where you lose on price, and where you want the brand to be
  2. We write down the scope: brands, conversations, tests and documents
  3. You get a quote with each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • The brands, ranges and markets in scope
  • The number of conversations
  • How the routes are tested

Comparing quotes? Ask whether the agency will talk to your buyers and test first. Not sure positioning is the problem? A marketing audit checks that first.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

No pressure. No sales pitch.

Tell us why buyers should pick you. We'll test if they agree.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Four things, in this order. A check of what every competitor claims. Conversations with your sales team, dealers and buyers. A positioning statement with the proof behind it. Small tests before the rollout. Logo and design are a separate step, in branding.

  • Positioning is the decision: the one reason buyers should choose you. Branding is how it looks and sounds: name, logo, colours, packaging and tone. Positioning comes first, because a new logo on an unclear position is an expensive guess. Many companies need both.

  • Usually, yes, if you pick the route with care. Launch a premium range under your current name, give the range its own name backed by yours, or move the whole brand up over time. We test the new promise in one city or channel first.

  • Around the people who decide, who may not be the person who pays. An engineer or an architect often recommends, and a purchase head signs. Proof matters more than a clever line. See how we work with industrial manufacturers.

  • It fits one line: for this buyer, we keep this promise, because of this proof. Say a regional safety-shoe maker stops calling itself good in every way and says only "shoes that last a full factory shift". That example is made up, to show the shape.

  • We agree the measures first and note where each stands today. Watch enquiries that name you, searches for your brand on Google and the discount your sales team gives to close a deal. We check at three and six months.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India and works with you hybrid and remotely. We meet you in your city regularly, and buyer calls run on phone and video. When the work needs it, we place our team at your office or plant.
