“We fear the new site will lose our Google rankings.”
We list every page that gets visits or enquiries before design starts. Each old address gets a permanent redirect to its new one. We check both before launch.

Website redesign for owners whose old site no longer brings enquiries. A page-by-page plan that keeps what already works.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A redesign should change what hurts and keep what helps. PromotEdge plans website redesigns page by page: we list what earns you enquiries and Google traffic today, redesign the rest, and send every old address to its new one.
Most owners ask for a new look. What they need is a site that sells. A new look on the old structure repeats the old problem.
If you are unsure the site needs a rebuild, start with a UX audit. A redesign sits under our wider UI/UX design work, and it follows a safe plan for the address changes (see SEO migration).
Looking for a website redesign company that plans the move page by page? That is what this page describes.
| Part | What we do | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Audit and page list | Review the old site, its traffic and its enquiries | A list of pages, each marked keep, improve or drop |
| Address map | Match every old address to its new one | A map used for the redirects |
| Structure and layouts | Redraw the menu and the main paths in plain layouts | A sitemap and layouts to approve |
| Design | Final screens for phone and desktop | Screen files you sign off |
| Build | Build on the platform you choose, with speed in mind | A working site on a test address |
| Redirects and checks | Set permanent redirects; test links, forms and tracking | A checked list before launch |
| After-launch check | Compare traffic and enquiries with the numbers noted before | A short before-and-after note |
We build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or a custom build, whichever your team can update.

“The site is slow and clumsy, but we do not know where to begin.”
Begin with an audit. Often a few pages cause most of the loss, and the plan changes those first.
“Everyone wants something different, and the plan keeps changing.”
One written page list, signed off in stages. Changes after sign-off are priced as changes.
“Nobody has time to rewrite all the pages.”
We keep the text that works, rewrite what does not, and say early which pages need your input.
“The old site runs on something nobody can update.”
We choose a platform your own team can handle: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or a custom build.
“After launch, enquiries dip and nobody knows why.”
We note your numbers before the move and compare them after. We promise no lift, but we do promise to look.

The time depends on the number of pages and the platform. We confirm it in the quote.
We review the old site and mark each page keep, improve or drop, with your enquiry data beside it.
Every old address is matched to its new one, so no page is left without a way through.
You approve the structure and layouts before colour and design are added.
Final screens, then the build on a test address that you can click through.
We test the redirects, forms and tracking, launch, and compare the numbers afterwards.

Our web lead, Benjamin Sardar, plans the move. Our UI/UX designer, Sunanda Basak, redraws the paths.
A dealer-led maker (see industrial manufacturing) keeps product and catalogue pages first. An online store (see D2C and ecommerce) protects product and category pages. A school or college (see education) protects admission pages.
Google's guide to site moves gives four rules. Use permanent server-side redirects (301 or 308). Map each old address to its new equivalent. Avoid chains of redirects. Keep the redirects as long as possible, generally at least a year. We follow all four.

Our view: tools will draft new layouts faster. Deciding which old pages to keep will stay a job for someone who has read your enquiry data. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

No price list. These things move the number.
Every client and project is different. The cost depends on the effort it takes, so we price after the first call. We publish no price list. The first step is a free growth plan: a 30-minute call and a one-page plan, for projects we think we can help.
We take on a limited number of projects and say honestly if one is not a fit. Comparing quotes? Ask what each includes, and who owns the site and the code.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop. A single job, such as one event or one print run, is quoted as one project.
Brands and people are named only as public examples. They are not PromotEdge clients or endorsers unless stated.

A website redesign changes how a site is built and looks, and often how it is organised. A good one starts with the pages that earn enquiries today and keeps them. It is more than a new look: it plans the structure, the content, the address changes and the checks.
Redesign when the structure, the platform or the speed holds the site back and fixes will not reach them. Fix when a few pages or forms cause most of the loss. A UX audit tells you which. We say honestly if three fixes will do.
It can, when addresses change without redirects or good pages disappear. We list your pages first, map each old address to its new one, use permanent redirects and check before launch. We cannot promise rankings, but we plan to protect what you have.
Access to the current site and its analytics if you have them, a list of the products or services that matter most, and a decision-maker for sign-off. Photos, text and logos are helpful, and we say early what is missing. Most of the work runs online.
We confirm the time in the quote, because it depends on the number of pages, the platform and how much new text and photos are needed. A small business site and a large catalogue site are very different jobs. We agree dates for each stage in writing.
